Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of an electronic student worksheet (e-LKPD) based on Project Based Learning (PjBL) on temperature and heat material in improving junior high school students’ critical thinking skills. The study employed a research and development approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of the stages of Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. The e-LKPD was validated by three experts to determine its validity, practicality, and feasibility before implementation. The implementation was conducted in class VII-F of SMPN 2 Jember. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and critical thinking skill tests administered in the form of pretests and posttests. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ critical thinking skills after the implementation of the PjBL-based e-LKPD. The average pretest score increased from 55 to 88.75 in the posttest, with an N-Gain value of 0.75, categorized as high. Indicator-based analysis revealed that all critical thinking indicators improved, with the evaluation indicator achieving the highest N-Gain value of 0.87. These findings indicate that the PjBL-based e-LKPD is effective in enhancing students’ critical thinking skills and supporting active, meaningful science learning. Therefore, the PjBL-based e-LKPD can be used as an effective alternative learning material for teaching temperature and heat in junior high schools

Abstract

Al-samahah (broad-heartedness and ease) in the context of muʿamalah (socio-economic transactions). Amidst contemporary economic practices that are often rigid and exploitative, the value of al-samahah becomes a fundamental ethic that is important to review. This study aims to analyze the understanding and application of al-samahah hadiths in muʿamalah sourced from the book Riyad al-salihin by Imam al-Nawawi. This type of research is library research with a thematic approach (maudhu’i). Primary data was obtained from the book Riyad al-salihin by Imam Nawawi, while secondary data came from books, journals, and other literature that support thematic hadith studies. This research was conducted through the stages of collecting hadiths with the theme of al-samahah, takhrij, and analysis of syarah to obtain a complete understanding. The results of the study show that al-samahah in Riyad al-salihin is a comprehensive spectrum of muʿamalah ethics. These values include: (1) Husn al-Qada' (debtor's professionalism in paying); (2) Samhan attitude (easy and spacious) in the three pillars of transactions: selling, buying, and collecting; (3) Tanfīs (giving grace/restructuring) and Wad' (giving relief/discounts) for those in difficulty; and (4) Al-Tajawuz (clearing debt) as the peak of the creditor's ihsan. This study concludes that these values have highly relevant applications in addressing contemporary muʿamalah challenges, such as in e-commerce ethics, humane fintech collection practices, and debt restructuring policies in financial institutions.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that the Al-Quran memorization program that has been set as one of the academic requirements at UIN Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi has not been optimally implemented. Although the program has been set to encourage students to memorize the Al-Quran, in reality there are still many students who experience obstacles in the process, both in terms of technical and non-technical abilities. This study aims to identify the forms of problems faced by students in memorizing the verses of the Al-Quran, especially for PAI students of the 2021 batch. This study uses a qualitative approach with field research. Data collection techniques were conducted through in-depth interviews and documentation. The main informants in this study were 2021 PAI students in their eighth semester who had problems memorizing verses from the Qur'an, as well as academic advisors as supporting informants. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study found that the problems faced by students in memorizing the Qur'an can be divided into two factors, namely internal and external factors. Internal factors include a lack of mastery of makhrijul huruf and tajwid, impatience, dishonesty, lack of sincere intention, excessive ambition to add new memorizations, and laziness in muraja'ah. Meanwhile, external factors include changing mushafs, an unsupportive environment, and being distracted by other things outside of memorization activities.

Abstract

The study of the basic concepts of faith, monotheism, and morality is an important foundation in shaping the personality and spirituality of a Muslim. Faith, as a fundamental belief, serves as the primary foundation for understanding the essence of divinity, which is then elaborated more specifically in the concept of tauhid, namely the belief in the oneness of God in all aspects of life. Tauhid is not merely theoretical but also serves as a practical guideline for performing worship and social interactions. Morality, as a manifestation of true faith and monotheism, reflects moral and ethical qualities in daily life. This study aims to outline the relationship between these basic Islamic concepts and demonstrate how the integration of faith, monotheism, and morality shapes the character of a complete Muslim. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a literature review approach. The results indicate that a complete and in-depth understanding of faith and monotheism will give rise to noble morality, which is the primary goal of Islamic teachings

Abstract

The environmental crisis in Indonesia is increasingly impacting the welfare of local communities, including in North Minahasa Regency which is experiencing pressure from coastal development, increasing domestic waste, and degradation of marine ecosystems. This problem is not only ecological, but also moral and social, so it requires an approach that touches on changing public consciousness. This research aims to analyze the integration of ecotheology in the duties and functions of religious extension workers as a social transformation strategy in responding to environmental crises. The research uses an interpretive qualitative approach through a systematic literature review and analysis of the socio-ecological context of the region. The data were analyzed thematically reflective with reinforcement of social change theory, critical education, and transformative learning. The results of the study show that the integration of ecotheological values in religious counseling is able to form ecological moral awareness, encourage environmentally friendly behavior change, and strengthen community social solidarity. Counseling not only serves as spiritual education, but also as a space for faith practice through collective action such as waste management, coastal care, and cross-generational environmental education. This integration gives birth to a sustainable and contextual faith-based ecological culture. This research confirms that religious extension workers have a strategic role as agents of socio-ecological transformation, as well as that ecotheology can be the foundation of public ethics in dealing with environmental crises holistically and equitablely.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the dynamics of internal engagement among members of the Palembang City Arts Council in managing traditional arts. It focuses on understanding how internal engagement shapes organizational effectiveness, decision-making processes, and the sustainability of traditional arts within a local cultural institution context. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study strategy. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews with council members, participatory observation of organizational activities, and document analysis of programs and policy outputs. The collected data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify patterns of internal engagement. The findings reveal that internal engagement among members is uneven and largely administrative or symbolic. Engagement is influenced by institutional structure, clarity of roles, internal communication patterns, and resource limitations. Higher levels of engagement are associated with stronger collaboration, greater program innovation, and more effective management of traditional arts. This study is applicable to the fields of arts management, cultural governance, and organizational studies. The findings may serve as a reference for local arts councils, cultural institutions, and policymakers in strengthening internal governance mechanisms and improving the sustainability of traditional arts at the regional level. This study introduces internal engagement as a key non-technical factor in traditional arts management. It shifts the analytical focus from artistic preservation to institutional dynamics, offering new insights into how internal organizational processes influence the effectiveness and sustainability of local cultural institutions in Indonesia.
