Abstract

Scientific reasoning is a fundamental ability that students need to develop to face the challenges of the 21st century. This ability plays an important role in understanding science concepts, solving problems, and linking knowledge with everyday life through a systematic scientific process. However, science learning in schools has not had a significant impact on improving these abilities. A number of studies have shown that students' scientific reasoning in Indonesia is still low, hindering a deep understanding of science concepts and their application in real contexts. This condition requires innovative teaching materials that can facilitate students' active involvement, one of which is through multirepresentation-based e-modules. This research aims to develop multirepresentation-based e-modules and assess their effectiveness in improving the scientific reasoning skills of junior high school students. The research method used is Research and Development (R\&D) with the ADDIE model. The research subjects were students of class VII F SMP Negeri 7 Jember. The research instruments were pretest and posttest tests to measure scientific reasoning ability. The results showed that the use of multirepresentation-based e-modules was effective in improving students' scientific reasoning skills, indicated by the N-Gain value which was in the high category. Thus, multirepresentation-based e-modules are feasible to use as innovative teaching materials in learning temperature, heat, and expansion.

Abstract

This inquiry endeavors to elucidate the function of regional governance in the sustenance of roadway infrastructure within Palembayan Subdistrict, Agam Regency, while concurrently evaluating its enactment through the theoretical prism of siyāsah tanfīdhiyyah in Islamic political jurisprudence. The principal concern addressed pertains to the extent of the local government's fidelity in executing its mandate to preserve public infrastructure as a constituent of essential civic services, and whether such endeavors resonate with the normative values of equity, fiduciary integrity, and collective welfare as expounded in the doctrine of al-sulṭah al-tanfīdhiyyah. Adopting a qualitative paradigm, this study garnered data via empirical observation, exhaustive interviews with stakeholders from the Department of Public Works, subdistrict administration, nagari authorities, and the resident populace, as well as document analysis. The empirical evidence reveals that, although local authorities have instituted various periodic and routine programs for road maintenance, the execution remains disparate and less than efficacious. This predicament arises from fiscal insufficiency, a paucity of skilled personnel, and anemic coordination across bureaucratic entities. Within the framework of siyāsah tanfīdhiyyah, the regional government is called not merely to administer policies but to act as a conscientious steward of the public mandate, imbued with the ethical imperatives of Islamic law namely distributive justice, procedural openness, and unwavering accountability for communal prosperity. Thus, a recalibration of strategic intent and a more resolute institutional commitment are deemed requisite for achieving comprehensive and Sharia-compliant infrastructure stewardship.

Abstract

Construction project for the development of apartment buildings for the State Civil Apparatus (ASN2) is located in North Penajam Paser Regency and Kutai Kartanegara Regency, the main location of the National Capital City (IKN) in Sepaku, North Penajam Paser, which plays an important role in infrastructure development and connectivity. The location of the ASN 2 apartment complex project in Sepaku Village, North Penajam Paser Regency, is located at the intersection of Jl. Wonosari and Jl. Sepaku. To the north is Nusantara Hospital, to the south are Sepaku residents' homes, and to the east and west are swampy areas. The planning work for the construction of the Penajam Paser Utara ASN apartment complex uses the 2024 Volume 2 Work Unit Price Calculation (PHSP) and serves to determine the total costs required based on an analysis of the unit price for each type of work using the Volume 2 PHSP. The planning work for the construction of the Penajam Paser Utara ASN apartment building shows that the cost of installing red brick walls is cheaper than white brick walls. Wall construction using white bricks only costs Rp. 468,000. 000.00, while using red bricks requires a cost of Rp. 527,000,000.00, making the use of white brick walls more cost-efficient.

Abstract

The implementation of the Government Agency Performance Accountability System (SAKIP) at the sub-district level presents multidimensional challenges that necessitate a longitudinal analytical approach to identify developmental patterns and systemic constraints. This study examines the SAKIP evaluation outcomes of the Tualang Sub-District Office, Siak Regency, for 2022–2024 by analyzing the AKIP Evaluation Reports (LHE). The results reveal an upward trend in accountability scores—from 66.35 in 2022 to 69.55 in 2024—yet the performance remained confined to the “Good” category without reaching the “Very Good” threshold. Component-based assessment indicates uneven improvement: performance planning and measurement improved by 0.9 and 3.3 points respectively, while performance reporting declined sharply by 4.05 points in 2024. This stagnation underscores the urgency of enhancing institutional capacity, strengthening inter-unit coordination, and optimizing the follow-up of evaluation recommendations. The study contributes theoretically to the discourse on SAKIP effectiveness at the sub-district level and provides practical insights for local governments aiming to strengthen sustainable public sector performance accountability.

Abstract

Children aged 4–6 years often encounter challenges in recognizing, understanding, and managing their emotions, which underscores the importance of engaging and interactive learning media. Puppets have long served as effective educational tools that support children’s social and emotional development. This study aims to design and evaluate a QR code–based emotion puppet as a medium to assist early childhood in emotional regulation. Referring to Paul Ekman’s six basic emotions—happiness, sadness, anger, fear, surprise, and disgust—the puppet introduces these emotions through features linked to QR codes that direct users to educational videos. These videos provide interactive guidance on identifying emotions, expressing them appropriately, and applying suitable regulation strategies. A quasi-experimental approach was employed with 19 preschool children participating, though only 12 valid data sets were used for analysis. The findings reveal that the intervention led to improvements in children’s abilities to recognize, express, and regulate their emotions more effectively. Children also became more open in communicating their feelings with others. Additionally, the interactive puppet successfully attracted children’s interest in the emotional learning process, promoting deeper engagement in exploring emotions. Overall, the results suggest that the QR code–based emotion puppet is an effective educational medium that supports emotional regulation and helps strengthen social skills in early childhood.
