Abstract

Sharia banking in Nagari Malalak Timur has great potential, but the community still actively uses conventional banks, and only a few choose sharia banks as their primary option for financial transactions. This low level of interest is due to a lack of understanding of Islamic principles, limited access to Islamic bank branches, and the perception that Islamic products are more complicated and expensive than conventional banks. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the level of understanding of the people of Nagari Malalak Timur regarding Islamic banking products and services, as well as the reasons for choosing conventional banks. This study uses a qualitative approach, with a descriptive qualitative research type. The research location was in East Malalak Village, Malalak District, Agam Regency. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used data reduction, data presentation, and verification or conclusions. The results of the study in Nagari Malalak Timur show that the community's preference for Islamic banks is still low. Influencing factors include limited knowledge, the habit of using conventional banks, and difficult location and accessibility. The community finds it difficult to understand the concept of Islamic banking and prefers conventional banks because of familiarity. To increase the use of Islamic banks, there needs to be an effort to raise awareness and open branches in the area.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between anaerobic endurance and the performance of 400-meter sprinters in Ambon City. The research background highlights the crucial role of anaerobic capacity in sustaining high-speed performance throughout the track, where the lactic energy system predominates. A quantitative correlational design was employed, involving 32 male and female athletes aged 18–25 years who participated in the 400-meter event. Anaerobic endurance was assessed using a 300-meter sprint test, while running performance was measured by the best completion time from two trials. Data were analyzed using the Pearson correlation test. Results revealed a moderate positive correlation between anaerobic endurance and 400-meter running performance (r = 0.50; tcount = 0.4205 > ttable = 0.3494, df = 30), indicating that higher anaerobic capacity corresponds to better athletic performance. These findings emphasize the importance of anaerobic training methods, such as high-intensity interval training (HIIT), to enhance sprint endurance and speed. This study contributes empirical evidence to the development of athletic training programs at the regional level

Abstract

The growth of the tourism sector has driven an increase in hotel development in downtown areas, including in the historic tourist city of Bukittinggi. The construction of Hotel P, located in the strategic Jam Gadang area, has sparked debate regarding administrative compliance, spatial planning suitability, and urban environmental impacts. This study aims to analyze the compliance of the Hotel P construction permit process with state administrative law provisions, spatial planning regulations, and environmental protection instruments. The study uses a normative juridical approach combined with empirical juridical analysis of regulations, licensing documents, and urban environmental data from 2020 to 2022. Environmental impacts are analyzed using an Environmental Pressure Index based on Principal Component Analysis (PCA), which includes indicators of waste volume, noise levels, and reduction of green open spaces. The results of the study indicate inconsistencies between licensing documents and actual conditions in the field, weak licensing transparency, and a significant increase in environmental pressure. This study emphasizes the importance of strengthening administrative law enforcement, integrating environmental evaluation into the licensing process, and applying the principles of good environmental governance in hotel development in urban core areas. Abstract

Early character education is crucial, especially during a child's golden age (0–6 years). Due to challenges like moral decline and negative environmental factors, Early Childhood Education (PAUD) institutions need programs that are structured and continuous. This study aims to analyze how principals manage the Seven Habits of Great Indonesian Children (G7KAIH) program using the POAC cycle (Plan- Organizing-Actuating-Controlling) to create a strong character culture within the school. The Seven Habits Program covers seven main habits: waking up early, worshiping, exercising, eating healthy food, loving to learn, interacting socially, and sleeping early. The goal is to develop highly capable individuals with strong character. We used a descriptive qualitative approach for this research at PAUD TK Aisyiyah 1 Rancaekek, which has run The Seven Habits Program since 2023. The result show that implementing The Seven Habits Program positively affects students’ character, increasing their independence, discipline, and social care. The main analysis will focus on how the principal's planning, execution, evaluation, and follow-up successfully integrate The Seven Habits Program systematically and fully into the school environment

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the existence of traditional markets under the threat of modern market advancement, with a case study conducted at Tempurung Market, Kinali District, West Pasaman Regency. The phenomenon observed is the rapid development of modern markets such as minimarkets and supermarkets around the Kinali area, which potentially reduces the competitiveness and public interest in traditional markets. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, employing observation, interview, and documentation techniques involving traders, buyers, and market managers. The results indicate that although the presence of modern markets has led to a decline in the number of buyers and income for some traders at Tempurung Market, traditional markets still maintain their distinctive appeal. The main factors sustaining their existence include more affordable prices, the bargaining system, close social relationships between traders and buyers, and the availability of fresh local products. Furthermore, most lower- and middle-income communities continue to rely on traditional markets as their primary place to meet daily needs. However, challenges such as limited facilities and infrastructure, suboptimal cleanliness, and minimal support from local governments in market revitalization remain significant issues. Therefore, greater government attention is needed, including infrastructure improvements, trader training, and the formulation of regulations that support traditional markets so that they can survive amid modern market competition.
