Abstract

Community Radio has played an important role in shaping good local governance, village governance, supporting the people's economy, and preserving local wisdom. However, in the current era of new media, the existence of community radio is increasingly tested by various challenges. This study aims to understand how community radio managers adapt to the development of information and communication technology that continues to evolve. The research method used is descriptive with qualitative approach. Community radio is faced with the fact that information and communication technologies are constantly evolving, forming what we know as new media. In earlier eras, radio was identified with a physical device called a radio, but now radio broadcasts can be accessed via online channels or by streaming without being constrained by frequency range. These new media-based broadcasts often lack personal interaction with their listeners. Therefore, to build a more emotional connection with its audience, community radio managers and broadcasters need to adopt a more humanist approach. They seek to strengthen the bond between community radio and its listeners through more direct, responsive, and personalized interactions. Thus, they create stronger bonds and build loyalty among their listeners. This study is expected to provide a deeper insight into the adaptation strategies undertaken by community radio in the face of rapid changes in the media environment. With a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities at hand, community radio can continue to be a relevant and beneficial means for local communities.

Abstract

The main aim of this research is to assess the resistance to hot corrosion of untreated Fe-Ni-based superalloys compared to those coated with Cr3C2-20NiCr and NiCrAlY. These superalloys are strengthened through precipitation with ɣ’ Ni3(Al, Ti) and further fortified using high-velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) thermal spray coating. The evaluation is performed under harsh conditions consisting at a temperature of 900°C for a duration of 25 cycles in a mixture containing 75 wt.% Na2SO4 and 25 wt.% NaCl. An optical microscope (OM) is utilized to determine the coating thickness of the coated specimens. Corrosion kinetics are evaluated by measuring changes in mass at the conclusion of each cycle during the investigation of hot corrosion. Furthermore, X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) are employed to investigate the chemical composition, ascertain phases, and scrutinize the surface morphology of the corrosion products. The findings reveal that the Fe-Ni superalloy, coated with precipitation-strengthened layers, demonstrates enhanced resistance to hot corrosion compared to the uncoated substrates, as evidenced by reduced weight gain per unit area. The coated substrates are enveloped by protective oxide layers consisting of chromium, nickel, aluminum, and their respective spinels, effectively shielding the substrate surfaces. In contrast, The superalloy without coating, which underwent precipitation hardening within the substrate, showed instances of microspalling and sputtering of the oxide scale. Findings suggested that both Cr3C2-20NiCr and NiCrAlY coatings substantially improved resistance against hot corrosion. Noteworthy was the superior protective efficacy of the NiCrAlY coating over the Cr3C2-20NiCr layer, attributed to the development of protective oxide scales containing Cr2O3 and NiCr2O4.

Abstract

Polygamy is a term that contains various meanings, often exciting men's imaginations as an ideal while triggering deep emotions in women. Many women, naturally jealous and reluctant to share their husband's love, oppose polygamy. Despite this, some extraordinary women accept it patiently. On one side, critics link polygamy to gender inequality and discrimination against women, while supporters believe it can reduce infidelity and prostitution. Misconceptions about polygamy, often fueled by anti-Islamic sentiment, have influenced Muslim society, leading some to view it negatively and others to defend it as a part of Islamic perfection. This research then aims to find out how orientalists criticize polygamy law and refute orientalist understanding of polygamy law. This research method will be carried out using a qualitative approach. The data used in this research comes from the results of a literature study of previous literature and research that is still relevant. The results of this research then found that the polygamy law in Islam has a strong historical basis, aiming to protect and regulate the practice of polygamy with the principles of justice and responsibility. Islam sets strict limits and conditions to ensure that polygamy is not abused and that women's rights are protected. Misinterpretations by Orientalists often ignore this context and spread biased views regarding polygamy law. Despite challenges and criticism of the practice of polygamy, education and fair enforcement of the law can provide significant social and individual benefits.
