Abstract

AbstrakBerdasakan tujuan dari penelitian yang dilakukan, maka penelitian ini dapat digolongkan penelitian deskriptif  kualitatif yang berupaya untuk mengetahui bagaimana profil kemampuan siswa dalam  memecahan masalah berdasarkan langkah Polya. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 1 Labuapi yang berlokasi di Kecamatan Labuapi kabupaten Lombok Barat Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat. Hasil dari penelitin ini adalah profil siswa yang memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah tinggi berdasarkan tahapan-tahapan Polya adalah dalam tahap  memahami masalah berkatagori sangat baik, dalam  tahapan  menyusun  rencana  berkatagori baik, dalam tahap melaksanakan rencana berkatagori baik, dan dalam tahap memeriksa kembali berkatagori baik. Profil siswa yang memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah rendah berdasarkan tahapan-tahapan Polya adalah dalam tahap  memahami masalah berkatagori sangat baik, dalam tahapan menyusun  reencana berkatagori cukup baik, dalam tahap melaksanakan rencana berkatagori kurang baik, dan dalam tahap memeriksa kembali berkatagori kurang baikKata kunci:Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah, Pemecahan Masalah Polya, PLSV AbstractBased on the purpose of the research carried out, so it can be classified as a qualitative descriptive study to find out how to profile students' abilities in solving problems based on Polya's steps. This research has been carried out at SMPN 2 Mataram, located in Labuapi District, West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province. Abstract

AbstractModules are one form of teaching material that can help students learn independently. For students to receive materials well, it is necessary to create a learning atmosphere by the characteristics of students. Differentiated instruction approach is a learning approach by giving different instructions according to the features of  the learner. This research aims to test the effectiveness of learning methods with a differentiated instruction approach compared to differentiated instruction-based modules.  This research is a pseudo-experimental study with 92 students of the Informatics Engineering study program of Darussalam Gontor University. Modules are one form of teaching material that can help students learn independently. For students to receive materials well, it is necessary to create a learning atmosphere by the characteristics of students. This research began by giving treatment in learning as many as six meetings on Derivative materials The data analysis in this study uses One-way ANOVA. Before data analysis, the prerequisite of research is a test of  normality and  homogeneity. The results of the analysis prerequisites are obtained that the data is distributed normally and homogeneously. The results concluded that there were significant differences between students who were taught using differentiated instruction approaches, differentiated instruction-based modules, and direct methods.Keywords:Calculus, differentiated instruction, learning module.AbstrakModul  adalah  salah  satu bentuk bahan ajar yang dapat membantu mahasiswa belajar mandiri . Agar mahasiswa mampu menerima materi dengan baik perlu diciptakan suasana belajar yang sesuai dengan karakteristik mahasiswa.  Pendekatan differentiated instruction  merupakan pendekatan pembelajaran dengan memberikan instruksi yang berbeda sesuai dengan karakteristik peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas  metode pembelajaran dengan pendekatan differentiated instruction dibandingkan modul berbasis differentiated instruction.  Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi-experiment) dengan  subjek sebanyak 92 mahasiswa program studi Teknik Informatika Universitas Darussalam Gontor. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini diawali dengan memberikan perlakuan berupa pembelajaran sebanyak 6 pertemuan pada materi Turunan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah One-way ANOVA. Sebelum analisis data prasyarat analisis yang dilakukan adalah uji normalitas dan homogenitas. Hasil prasyarat analisis diperoleh bahwa  data  berdistribusi  normal dan  homogen. Hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar  mahasiswa yang diajar  menggunakan pendekatan differentiated instruction, modul berbasis differentiated instruction, dan metode langsung.Kata kunci: Kalkulus, differentiated instruction, modul pembelajaran

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of cooperative learning models (TAPPS and conventional type) on mathematical critical thinking ability, the influence of high and low mathematical disposition on mathematical critical thinking abilities, and the influence of interactions between learning models (TAPPS and conventional type) with students’ mathematical disposition on mathematical critical thinking skills in eighth grader of SMP Negeri 7 Tarakan. This research was carried out in the odd semester of 2018/2019 school year in SMP Negeri 7 Tarakan. The type of research used in this study is a quasi-experimental with a 2×2 factorial design. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 7 Tarakan. Sampling is done by simple random sampling. The sample in this study is class VIII-1 as a control class and VIII-3 as an experimental class. Data collection is done by using mathematical critical thinking ability test and mathematical disposition questionnaire. Data analysis techniques using descriptive and inferential analysis. Descriptive analysis includes mean and standard deviation. Inferential analysis uses two-way variance analysis. Based on the results of the analysis with a significant level of 5%, it can be concluded that the learning model (TAPPS and conventional) influenced the ability of  mathematical critical thinking with p-value 0.046, high and low mathematical disposition affect the ability of mathematical critical thinking with a p-value of 0.000, and there is no influence of interaction between learning models with mathematical disposition of mathematical critical thinking skills in class VIII SMP 7 Tarakan with p-value 0.503.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe the mathematical creative thinking ability of class XII MIA students of SMA Negeri 2 Kolaka. This type of research is qualitative descriptive with research subjects consisting of 37 students of class XII MIA SMA Negeri 2 Kolaka. The reserch instrument consisted of a written test in consisting of 3 questions and interviews in which the data were grouped and analized according to the indicators of creative thinking abilities. Based on the results of the students’ mathematical creative thinking ability test results showed thet out of 37 respondents there was 1 respondent with very creative thinking skills, 8 rspondents were creative, 11 respondents were creative enough, 15 respondents were less creative, and 2 respondents were not creative. Based on the results of data analysis, it was obtained: (1) The flexibility indicatoor is 44,46%; (2) Fluency is 44,93%; (3) Originality of 51,69%; (4) Elaboration of 46,12%. The result showed that the average mathematical creative thinking ability of stundents of class XII MIA for all indicators was in the quite creative category with a percentage of 46,12%. Keywords: Creative ThinkingAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa kelas XII MIA SMA Negeri 2 Kolaka. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian terdiri dari 37 siswa kelas XII MIA SMA Negeri 2 Kolaka. Instrumen penelitian ini terdiri dari tes tulis yang terdiri dari 3 soal dan wawancara yang selanjutnya data dikelompokkan dan dianalisis sesuai dengan indicator kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Berdasarkan hasil tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa menunjukkan dari 37 responden terdapat 1 responden dengan kemampuan berpikir kategori sangat kreatif, 8 responden kategori kreatif, 11 responden kategori cukup kreatif, 15 responden kategori kurang kreatif, dan 2 responden kategori tidak kreatif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh: (1) Indikator keluwesan yaitu sebesar 44,46%; (2) Kelancaran yaitu sebesar 44,93%; (3) Keaslian sebesar 51,69%; (4) Elaborasi sebesar 46,12%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa kelas XII MIA untuk semua indicator berada pada kategori cukup kreatif dengan persentase sebesar 46,12%. Kata kunci: Berpikir Kreatif

Abstract

AbstractThis research is a quasi-experimental research (quasi experimental), which aims to look at the comparison of discovery learning models and probing prompting to the learning activities of class IX MTs DDI Tarakan students. The results of descriptive analysis before being treated with an average achievement of student learning activeness in experimental class 1 using discovery learning models is 30.34% and in experimental class 2 using probing prompting learning models is 27.17%. For the average percentage of the two experimental classes are both in the less active category. Descriptive analysis results after being treated with an average achievement of student learning activeness in experimental class 1 using discovery learning models higher that is equal to 53.5% included in the active category of the experimental class 2 using the probing prompting learning model is 43,14 % is in the inactive category. For the average achievement of all indicators of student learning activeness for experimental class 1 is higher than in ekaperimne 2. So the discovery learning model is better than the probing prompting learning model for the learning activeness of class IX MTs DDI Tarakanstudents. Keywords: Experiments, Discovery Learning Learning Model, Probing Prompting Learning Model, Student Learning Activity AbstrakPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimensemu (quasi esperimental),yang bertujuan untuk melihat perbandingan model pembelajaran discovery learning dan probing prompting terhadap keaktifan belajar siswa kelas IX MTs DDI Tarakan. Hasil analisis deskriptifsebelum diberi perlakuan dengan rata-rata pencapaian keaktifan belajar siswa dikelas eksperimen 1 yang menggunakan model pembelajaran discovery learningadalah 30,34% dan pada kelas eksperimen 2 yang menggunakan model pembelajaran probing prompting adalah27,17%. Untuk rata-rata persentase kedua kelas eksperimen tersebut sama-sama berada pada kategori kurang aktif. Hasil analisis deskriptif setelah diberi perlakuan dengan rata-rata pencapaian keaktifan belajar siswa dikelas eksperimen 1 yang menggunakan model pembelajaran discovery learninglebih tinggi yaitu sebesar53,5%termasuk dalam kategori aktif dari pada kelas eksperimen 2 yang menggunakan model pembelajaran probing prompting adalah43,14% termasuk dalam kategori kurang aktif.Untuk rata-rata pencapaian dari seluruh indikator keaktifan belajar siswa untuk kelas eksperimen 1 lebih tinggi dibandingkan pada kelas ekaperimne 2. Jadi, model pembelajaran discovery learning lebih baik dibandingkan model pembelajaran probing prompting terhadap keaktifan belajar siswa kelas IX MTs DDI Tarakan.

Abstract

Prescriptive theory discusses the determination of learning methods to achieve predetermined learning goals. One aspect that must be considered is how to maintain student retention through rearranging learning materials. The characteristics of mathematics that are taught are arranged hierarchically so that appropriate strategies are needed to organize the content of learning material before it is delivered to students. One organizing strategy is elaboration theory, while the components of elaboration theory are elaborative sequences for the main structure of teaching, the sequence of prerequisites for learning, summary), synthesis, analogy, activating cognitive strategies), and learning controls.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to describe mathematical communication skills in statistical material. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were students of class XII MIA at SMA Negeri 3 Tarakan, totaling 4 students with 2 students each having high written communication skills, and 2 students having low mathematical communication skills. Data collection methods used were written mathematical communication tests and interviews. The written mathematical communication test data is also used as a basis for grouping students. The results showed that students' high mathematical communication skills in high statistical material were able to reach 6 mathematical indicators namely expressing, demonstrating, describing, interpreting, writing, and making conclusions. Students’ low mathematical communication skills in statistical material were able to reach 3 mathematical indicators namely expressing, demonstrating, and interpretingKeywords: Mathematical Communication Writing, StatisticAbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kemampuan komunikasi matematis pada materi statistik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas XII MIA di SMA Negeri 3 Tarakan yang berjumlah 4 siswa dengan masing-masing 2 siswa yang memiliki kemampuan komunikasi tulis tinggi, dan 2 siswa yang memiliki kemampuan komunikasi matematis rendah. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah tes komunikasi matematis tulis dan wawancara. Data hasil tes komunikasi matematis tulis digunakan juga sebagai dasar pengelompokkan mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis tulis siswa kemampuan tinggi pada materi statistik mampu mencapai 6 indikator matematis yaitu mengekspresikan, mendemonstrasikan, menggambarkan, menginterprestasikan, menuliskan, dan membuat kesimpulan. Kemampuan komunikasi matematis tulis siswa kemampuan rendah pada materi statistik mampu mencapai 3 indikator matematis yaitu mengekspresikan, mendemonstrasikan, dan  menginterprestasikan.Kata kunci: Komuikasi Matematis Tulis, Statistika

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of the study was to describe students' interest in learning in the use of Android-based Pocket Book Mathematical (Pockemath) media using smartphones as learning media in building materials. This research is a descriptive quantitative study with a sample of 30 students. Instrument used in the form of student learning interest questionnaires distributed to students before and after using Pocket Book Mathematics (Pockemath) media. The results of this study indicate that students experienced an increase in student interest in learning after using Android-based Pocket Book Mathematics (Pockemath) as a medium for learning mathematics for students. This can be seen from the comparison of students' interest in learning before using the media was 47.53 and after using the media it was 54.16. The increase in students' interest in learning is indicated by the gain value. Hasil penelitian ini mengalami peningkatan minat belajar siswa setelah menggunakan Pocket Book Mathematic (Pockemath) berbasis android sebagai media pembelajaran matematika untuk siswa. Hal ini dilihat dari perbandingan minat belajar siswa saat sebelum menggunakan media adalah sebesar 47,53 dan setelah menggunakan media media adalah 54,16. Peningkatan pada minat belajar siswa ditunjukkan dengan nilai gain. Abstract

Learning mathematics involves students not only to be able to ensure calculations but also be able to ensure reasoning and analyzing. Analytical skills are included in high order thinking skills (HOTS). Higher order thinking skills (HOTS) can be generated through problem solving activities. In solving a problems, it is possible that the way the student thinks is not suitable to the answer they get or it can be said that they are doing pseudo thinking. Pseudo thinking can be caused by the absence of reflection by students. This study aims to describe the student's occurring false-pseudo thinking in solving HOTS type problems on the quadratic inequality. Research subjects were taken based on purposive sampling, taking into account their communication abilities. The subjects in this study were high school students who had studied the material inequality squared. The data collection was done by using think-out-loud (TOL) method, the students were asked to express out loud what they were thinking when solving the problem which was given. From the results it can be explained that the process of the students’ false-pseudo thinking HOTS type problems on the quadratic inequality happen as follows: 1) It begins with the students’ mistake of making assumptions when they are understanding the problem 2) The incompleteness of the students’ thinking substructure in the process of understanding the problem, and 3) The incompleteness of the students’ thinking substructure in planning the solution.

Abstract

AbstractUnderstanding the concept is the main thing in learning mathematics. If mathematical concepts can be understood well, then the principles in mathematics can be applied. This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of using Wingeom media on students' understanding of mathematical concepts on cube and block material. This research uses Quasi Experimental Design method. The population in this study were 32 students. The instrument used in this research is a descriptive test, which consists of 8 items for the pretest and posttest, which are given after the treatment has calculated the level of difficulty, discriminating power, and instrument reliability. Based on the results of the t test by looking at the students' posttest results, the results obtained tcount = 11.240 and by using a significant level of 5% it is known that ttable = 2,042, this indicates that there is an effect of using Wingeom media on understanding mathematical concepts in cube and block material. Keywords: Wingeom Media, and Understanding Mathematical ConceptsAbstrakPemahaman konsep menjadi hal utama dalam mempelajari matematika. Jika konsep matematika dapat dipahami dengan baik, maka prinsip yang ada pada matematika dapat diterapkan.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh  penggunaan media Wingeom terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada materi kubus dan balok. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quasi Experimental Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 32 peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil uji t dengan melihat hasil posttest  peserta didik diperoleh hasil thitung = 11,240 dan dengan menggunakan taraf signifikan 5% diketahui ttabel= 2,042 hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh pengaruh  penggunaan media Wingeom terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis pada materi kubus dan balok. Kata Kunci : Media Wingeom, dan Pemahaman Konsep Matematis
