Abstract

The covid pandemic has forced educational institutions in Indonesia to conduct offline learning online using wordwall media to help students understand the material in science learning during the covid 19 pandemic. The method used in this research is qualitative. The target of this activity is 20 fourth grade students. The results showed that there was a change in attitude that occurred in students after learning by using wordwall media. These changes can be seen from the aspect of student activity and the observation assessment criteria are measured through several indicators, including: (a) The activeness of students when participating in online teaching and learning activities as evidenced by filling in absences, (b) Student activity when collecting assignments by on time, (c) Asking about material that has not been understood. The conclusion of this study is that the use of wordwall media in the fourth grade science learning can increase students' interest and motivation in learning.

Abstract

This research is within the framework of religion and science in religion. Science and religion are often considered contradictory. Science comes from empirical practice, religion comes from religious revelations. The character Nuqoib al Attas in chapter 20 tries to find a correlation between science and religion. Nuqoib al Attas succeeded in combining science and religion, both in concept and in real practice. This research seeks to find the methodological thinking of Nuqoib al Attas in terms of science and religion. This research is classified as library research with the main material being texts about Naquib al Attas. Data analysis uses ethnography with a cultural background of the text. Conclusions come from the texts produced from the discovered manuscripts. The research results show that according to Naquib, science and religion are interconnected. It can be concluded that according to Naquib, Islamic knowledge, Islamic science is science based on divine values, with a collaboration between God's text-based revelation (Al-Quran) and God's verses in the form of nature.

Abstract

Effective communication is importance in avoiding misunderstanding and misinterpretation in our daily life including a discussion in classroom activity. Some flouting and hedging can be happened in a discussion. Hence, this research concerns to investigate how the conversational implicatures especially flouting and hedging maxim are being formed in students dialog during discussion class. This research is designed as descriptive research. The participants are students of LRM’S class which consist of 18 students that chosen by purposive sampling. The data was collected through tape recorder and interview. The data are being transcribed and analyzed by categorizing utterances based on the flouting of maxim and hedging maxim theory. Based on the data analysis, it has been discovered that during the conversation, whether they are presenters or participant in the discussion, they do flouting and hedging. Flouting maxim is frequently done than hedging maxim. Then, it happens for some reasons including want to give a right information, do not understand with the question, want to give a clear and relevance answer and want to build good relationship among students and lecturer. This study is wanted to raise people awareness toward flouting and hedging maxim in order to have an effective communication in life.

Abstract

The development of education today is influenced by the rapid progress of information and communication technology. One of the information technologies that play a role in the world of education is online learning. Online learning functions as a liaison between educators and students with an internet network that can be accessed anytime and anywhere. The online media used by the research subjects are various (WhatsApp, Google Classroom, Website). The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of online learning applied to the elementary school level. The method collected in data collection was a question and answer session with the sources, namely elementary school students via WhatsApp and the results of observations made by researchers during online learning. The research results show that online learning is effective and efficient if the material delivered by the teacher is optimal and carried out with parental assistance. It can be concluded that student learning outcomes have improved with online learning, although there are still several shortcomings.

Abstract

This research aims to get an idea of how far the use of Padlet learning media as a learning solution in the covid-19 pandemic. The research methods used in this re-search are qualitative descriptive. Data collection techniques in the form of literature studies are used to describe padlet applications. Then continued with descriptive analysis to provide an overview of the use of Padlet learning media as a learning solu-tion in the covid-19 pandemic. Padlet is a digital learning medium available in the form of web and applications. Utilization of Padlet learning media during the covid-19 pandemic is as follows: a liaison between educators and learners to be able to interact on distance learning without virtual face-to-face; Comment features that educators can use to open discussion topics without worrying about the topic will be drowned out by the response of learners; Padlets can be used by educators as a place to store files of tasks from learners; Padlets can be used to motivate and see the re-sponse of learners.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem solving ability of elementary school mathematics stories which still require proper and correct efforts. Especially in grade IV, appropriate and appropriate learning models are needed to improve students' problem-solving skills on math story problems. One of the learning models whose core is problem solving learning is the Polya learning model which is expected to be able to make students able to solve math story problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Polya learning model on the ability to solve problems in mathematics story problems in fourth grade elementary school students in Surabaya. This research uses qualitative research. The method that will be used in this quantitative research is a case study using tests and observations to collect data. Based on data collection using tests and observations that show the ability to solve math story problems, fourth grade elementary school students in Surabaya can be trained through the Polya learning model.

Abstract

Teacher-centered learning and lack of student involvement in learning activities can trigger low student learning outcomes. This study aims to describe the learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students in science subjects. The research method used by the researcher is a quantitative descriptive approach, the research subjects are students of class VA with a total of 30 students, data collection techniques use tests. The test used is to determine the learning outcomes of class V students on food chain material in an ecosystem, the results show that science learning outcomes are categorized very high as many as 14 of 30 students or 46.66 percent, learning outcomes with categories high as many as 13 of 30 students or 43.33 percent, and learning outcomes in the medium category as many as 3 students or 10 percent. The average student learning outcomes in class VA on food chain material in an ecosystem is 80.00 with a high category. Therefore, the conclusion obtained is that the science learning outcomes of fifth grade students can be categorized as high.

Abstract

Been doing research on PAI's animated media development on the material of leadership material ash-shidiq with an application Vlognow. The goal of research is to describe the development of the media of learning and media tests are based on the response of teachers, the teachers' response, impact, as well as obstacles. Kind of quality research with a footage of research covering the stage of preliminary studies, the libraka studies, the field survey, and the draft product drafts, as well the development phase with limited trials. This research target is a student of VI Manager's class. The result of this research of the pro-educated interest responders of the media is well reviewed from the components formatic, quality, clarity, as well as the interest of the educated. The media has impact on the competitors the education of studying PAI, understanding of concept, and the arousal of the study and the pleasure of learning, and the interest of learning not only by method of speech as well as they're looking more attractive and not boring. Where the response of SDN Manangga students held, as many as 1 student stated the animated video was not understood, 17 students understood the video and 15 students expressed very understanding the animated video about the leadership of Abu Bakar Ash-Shidiq can be concluded that the animated video based. Vlognow application on Abu Bakar Ash-sidiq leadership material can improve motivation and learning achievements and is considered more understandable and fun and worthy used in the learning process.

Abstract

Online learning is an alternative that can overcome the problem of disrupting the conventional learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic. In online learning, there are many obstacles faced by students or lecturers. The problem that students often face is network problems. A bad network connection will affect the message or explanation of the material delivered by the lecturer. With network disruption, students often have difficulty understanding the explanations given by lecturers, because the voices they hear tend to be less clear. Therefore, this research aims to explain in detail the impact of online learning on the understanding of FKIP Untirta students during the Covid-19 pandemic. Using a descriptive qualitative approach in the form of observations. With the subject of observation by FKIP Untirta students. The discussion focuses on the impact that online learning has on students' understanding of the material. The results of this research show the influence of online learning on students' understanding of material, the problems students face and the obstacles in carrying out online learning. It can be concluded that online learning greatly influences FKIP Untirta students' understanding of the material.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how mathematics teachers view the manipulative materials method. This research was conducted using qualitative, descriptive methods and using a naturalistic qualitative approach. The data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The subject was the teacher. The results of the study indicate that the teacher's view of the use of manipulative materials methods can improve student learning outcomes in understanding mathematical concepts and procedures. Thus learning mathematics using the manipulative material method needs to be applied as a good learning, which can activate students and increase the ability of students to understand concepts.
