Abstract

Research has been conducted with the aims to know: the increase and comparison of direct influence and total influence between PBL model and learning motivation to master the concept of learners through problem solving ability. The method used is pre-experimental design and the descriptions used are one-group pretest-posttest design. The study was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Jayapura academic year 2017/2018. Population amounted to 245 students class VIII. The sample of the study was class VIII F with sample size of 39 students. The analysis technique used is n-gain analysis and path analysis with two-lane analysis. The results obtained from the data in this study are: 1) There is an increase in the mastery of the concept of physical science IPA in class VIII F SMP Negeri 2 Jayapura is equal to 0.80, 2) Direct influence PBL model on the mastery of the concept that is equal to 26,01% total through the problem solving ability that is 88,2% is the strongest influence, followed by the influence of extrinsic learning motivation on the concept of mastery that is equal to 26,22% and total influence through problem solving ability that is equal to 83,9%, and the influence of intrinsic learning motivation to mastery of concept that is equal to 28,41% and total influence through problem solving ability 79%.

Abstract

Research has been carried out with the aim of knowing, enhancing, correlating, and influencing learning using the discovery learning model (X) with the experimental method on the results of liquid pressure learning in students (Y). This type of research is quantitative research with Pre-Experimental Design research methods and One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design types. The population of this study were all eighth grade students of Muhammadiyah Middle School Jayapura. The sampling technique used is Nonprobability sampling by means of purposive sampling, and samples of VIIIB class students totaling 34 students. This study uses 2 instruments, namely discovery learning model questionnaire instruments and student learning outcomes test instruments on the subject of liquid pressure. To determine the increase in learning outcomes of students used N-gain analysis. To find out the relationship between the discovery learning model (X) and learning outcomes (Y) students used simple correlation analysis of Pearson Product Moment using SPSS 16.0 software and to find out the effect between X variable to Y used simple regression analysis using SPSS version software 16,0. The results of research and data processing obtained there is an increase in student learning outcomes of 0.75 which is included in the high category. Asymp Value. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.04 <0.05, H0 is rejected, meaning that there is a relationship between variables X and Y. Pearson Correlation value = 0.355 is interpreted to have a sufficient relationship. The value of R Square = 0.126 means that there is an influence of X on Y of 12.6%. Sig value. 0.00 <0.05, H0 is rejected, meaning that there is an influence between variables X and Y. The regression equation is Y = 46,861 + 0.396 X.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the PhET simulation-assisted Discovery Learning model on improving business and energy learning outcomes in class XI students of SMA Muhamadiah Jayapura. This type of research is a quantitative research with experimental methods, Pre-Experimental design with the type of One Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design. The population in this study were all students of class XI SMA Muhamadiah Jayapura. The sampling technique used is Cluster Random Sampling. Thus, the sample set was class XI.1 as the control class as many as 34 students, XI.2 as the experimental class as many as 31 students and class XI.3 as many as 28 students as the instrument testing class as many as 28 students. The research instrument used was a multiple choice instrument consisting of 20 questions. The results of research and data processing in the experimental class RPP I, RPP.II, combined RPP, respectively, the average value of Pre-Test 28.71 < Post-Test 77.74, Pre-Test 32.90 < Post-Test 82.26, Pre-Test 31.12 < Post-Test 80. Nilan N-Gain in experimental class and control class RPP I, RPP II and combined RPP respectively obtained experimental N-Gain 0.70 > N-Gain control 0.57, experimental N-Gain 0.74 > N-Gain control 0.61 , Experimental N-Gain 0.72 > Control N-Gain 0.58. The results of the different tests on RPP I, RPP.II, combined RPP obtained the same value, namely Sig (2-Tailed) 0.000. The results of the data processing indicate that there is an increase and difference in student learning outcomes in the matter of effort and energy after using the PhET simulation-assisted Discovery Learning model.

Abstract

A study was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Jayapura on how Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) Cooperative Learning aims to determine the improvement and differences in students' mastery of concepts between the experimental class taught using the STAD cooperative learning model and the control class taught with conventional learning on the subject of vibrations and waves. The results showed that the exploratory class had a more significant level of idea dominance than the control class. In the control class, there were several obstacles encountered by students, such as lack of understanding due to abstract concepts, difficulty understanding the graphs or diagrams presented, lack of practical experience, more reliance on memorization and difficulty applying formulas, students were still passive, and difficulty connecting theory with real phenomena. While in the experimental class, the application of the STAD model made students more active in collaborating and conducting group discussions so that social skills were more developed and reduced stress and there was reinforcement through feedback so that students were more motivated. This quantitative research was conducted by applying the nonequivalent control group design model. The sample was class VIII A and VIII C of SMP Negeri 2 Jayapura. Learning by implementing the STAD cooperative model shows the development of students' ability to master concepts with an n-gain score of 0.75 in the group of students who have high concept mastery and 0.58 in the group of students who have low concept mastery. The application of the conventional model and the STAD cooperative model in both classes significantly increased all materials. The difference is indicated by a significance value of 0.05 of 0.000. Based on these results, it can be concluded that STAD type cooperative learning can improve students' understanding of vibration and wave materials.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship, and the effect of student satisfaction in online learning on student learning outcomes. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. Data collection techniques used are tests and questionnaires. The data obtained were then analyzed using SPSS 16 and Microsoft Excel programs. The research was carried out at SMA Negeri 4 Jayapura for the academic year 2020/2021. The population of students is class X. The research sample is class X IPA 5 with a total sample of 32 students. In the general percentage results obtained 72% of students are satisfied with online learning.from the dimension tangible, 81% of students were satisfied. However, for thedimension assurance, 67% of students were satisfied. In the dimension empathy, 72% of students are satisfied and for the dimension reliability, the percentage figure shows 60% of students are satisfied. And on the dimension of responsiveness, 70% of students are satisfied.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship and influence of assessment using the quizizz application on learning motivation. The research method used is quantitative; quasi- experimental one group design, with a questionnaire distribution technique. While the data analysis using descriptive analysis and simple linear regression analysis. Based on the results and data analysis on the linearity and correlation tests, the sig value was obtained. 0.001<0.05 probability value and r count value of 0.704> 0.344 r table, meaning that the two variables have a strong relationship. Based on the t test, it was found that the calculated t value was 5.512> 1.692 t table for 5% of the data for 33 samples or sig. 0.001 <0.05 probability value, meaning that there is influence. So it can be concluded that there is a strong relationship between assessment and APK. quizizz and learning motivation as well as the effect of assessment with the quizizz application on the learning motivation of students at YPPK Teruna Bakti High School with running and stationary wave material with a contribution value of 49.5%. The following linear regression equation is Y = 21.426 + 0.991X.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in mastery of students' concepts on the subject of mechanical waves. This study uses the quasi experimental design and experimental design method that is used is the Non-equivalent Control Groups Design involving two study groups, the experimental and control classes, which were carried out at the SMA YPPK Teruna Bakti Jayapura in the semester 2018/2019. The number of samples in the research class, namely the experimental class and control class, each numbered 33 students. The sampling technique used was nonprobability sampling using purposive sampling. The instrument of data collection used is a test to see the increase in mastery of students' concepts through the pretest and posttest. To find out the increase in mastery of students' concepts used N-Gain analysis. Whereas to see the difference in mastery of participants' concepts taught with PBL learning models and students taught with conventional learning models used different statistical analysis tests. The results showed that there were significant differences in mastery of concepts between students who were taught with PBL learning models and students taught with conventional learning models for all mechanical wave concepts which were shown at a significance value of a <0.05 which was 0,000.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the learning process of students and teachers in the classroom, describe the improvement in students communication skills (communication skills) and describe the process of improving learning outcomes by students and teachers with the help of Canva in Natural Sciences and Social Biology subjects at SMK Negeri 2 Bagor. The type of research used is classroom action research. This research has action steps starting with planning, taking action, observing, and finally reflecting. This research took place over three cycles with 36 class X ATPH 1 students as the subject. The results obtained in this study showed that there was an increase in communication skills and student learning outcomes that the scientific learning process was running according to the sequence of scientific steps in cycle I, reaching 76% in the sufficient category, in cycle II it increased to 84% in the good category, and in cycle III it increased to 94% in the very good category. Based on the overall research, it can be concluded that learning Natural Sciences and Social Biology with the help of Canva media can improve the communication skills and learning outcomes of class X ATPH 1 students at SMKN 2 Bagor Nganjuk

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kebutuhan terhadap pengembangan E-LKPD dengan pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis masalah sebagai alat bantu dalam kegiatan belajar, menggambarkan karakteristik media tersebut, menilai kelayakan penggunaannya, mengukur pengaruhnya terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah, serta meninjau respons siswa terhadap penggunaannya. Metode yang digunakan adalah R&D yang mengadopsi model pengembangan empat tahap (4D), meskipun studi ini hanya mencakup tiga tahap, yakni pendefenisian (Define), mendesain (Design), dan mengembangkan (Develop). Data yang didapatkan merupakan data kuantitatif deskriptif, yang dikumpulkan melalui validasi oleh para ahli, penyebaran angket kepada peserta didik, serta hasil dari pre-test dan post-test. Temuan penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa: (1) Baik guru maupun siswa memerlukan bahan ajar digital berbasis masalah guna mendukung penguatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan keterampilan memecahkan masalah; (2) E-LKPD dikembangkan secara kontekstual mengikuti langkah-langkah sistematis dari sintaks PBL; (3) Berdasarkan hasil validasi, produk dinyatakan sangat layak dipakai dengan nilai kelayakan rata-rata 93,7%; (4) Kemampuan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan, ditunjukkan oleh nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,81 pada pertemuan pertama serta 0,84 pada pertemuan kedua; serta (5) Siswa menunjukkan tanggapan yang sangat positif terhadap penggunaan E-LKPD, dengan tingkat kepuasan masing-masing sebesar 85,5% dan 86,7%.

Abstract

The global education sector faced a significant crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic, characterized by widespread learning loss and educational disparities. To address this critical situation and facilitate recovery, the Independent Curriculum was introduced as a key initiative. This research sought to investigate how high school Physics teachers in Bandar Lampung City perceive the implementation of this new curriculum. Conducted in Bandar Lampung City from March to June 2023, the study involved 30 high school Physics teachers, a portion of whom had already adopted the Independent Curriculum. A quantitative research design utilizing a survey method was employed. Data collection relied on a closed questionnaire distributed to the participating teachers. Prior to its use, the questionnaire underwent content validity testing. The collected data was then analyzed using descriptive statistics.The study's findings indicate that all state high schools in Bandar Lampung City have implemented the Independent Curriculum. This implementation was examined across its planning and instructional execution aspects. Overall, Physics teachers hold a fairly positive view of the Independent Curriculum's rollout. These educators in Bandar Lampung City have not only planned and delivered lessons in alignment with assessments provided by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology but have also tailored their approaches to suit the specific circumstances and requirements of their students.
