Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of working capital management, market risk, and investment strategy on profitability, with financial distress as an intervening variable. The research is conducted on companies with special notations listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period of 2019-2023. Quantitative Research Methods The research uses quantitative analysis with an associative quantitative approach, which is research that asks about the relationship between two or more variables. The analysis is carried out using a quantitative approach with Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS) through Smart PLS 4.0 software. The results show that working capital management and investment strategy have a positive and significant impact on profitability, while market risk and financial distress negatively affect profitability. Furthermore, financial distress plays a significant mediating role between the independent variables and profitability. The model demonstrates a strong predictive ability with an R² value of 0.65 for profitability and 0.57 for financial distress. These findings suggest that efficient working capital management and appropriate investment strategies contribute to higher profitability, while market risks and financial distress pose a threat to the financial stability of companies.

Abstract

This study examines the factors affecting the performance and job satisfaction of ShopeeFood drivers in Malang City, Indonesia, in the context of the rapid growth of Shopee's marketplace. The research focuses on several variables, including internal conflicts, incentive bonuses, safety riding, and job satisfaction. The results reveal that internal conflicts significantly affect driver performance (P value = 0.012) but do not significantly impact job satisfaction (P value = 0.327). Incentive bonuses have a significant positive effect on both driver performance (P value = 0.018) and job satisfaction (P value = 0.020). Safety riding is also found to significantly impact both performance (P value = 0.024) and job satisfaction (P value = 0.027). Furthermore, job satisfaction significantly affects driver performance (P value = 0.03). The findings suggest that while incentive bonuses and safety measures are crucial for improving both performance and satisfaction, internal conflicts play a more complex role. This research provides valuable insights for ShopeeFood and similar companies in optimizing driver performance by addressing internal conflicts and reinforcing safety measures, as well as enhancing incentive schemes to improve both job satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Abstract

This study aims to explore not only the direct effects of Liquidity Ratio (Return on Assets), Activity Ratio (Total Asset Turnover), and Leverage Ratio (Debt to Asset Ratio) on profitability but also how firm size moderates these relationships. The data collection method employed in this research is documentation, utilizing data from existing records. Data analysis was conducted using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) and processed with SPSS version 25. The findings reveal that the Current Ratio (CR) and Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR) have a positive and significant impact on corporate profitability (ROA). Conversely, Total Asset Turnover (TATO) does not significantly influence ROA, indicating that corporate assets have not been utilized optimally. Furthermore, Firm Size acts as a moderator that strengthens the relationship between liquidity, leverage, and activity ratios on profitability. Larger firms tend to exhibit greater operational efficiency and better resource access, making them more effective in enhancing profitability compared to smaller firms. Firm size is also shown to have a direct impact on ROA.

Abstract

This study discusses the legal protection for communities regarding the amount of compensation in land acquisition activities for public interest development, emphasizing the principle of proportional compensation. It asserts that compensation should align with the value of the land and must be adequate, ensuring that land rights holders who relinquish their land do not experience social or economic decline. According to Articles 17 and 18 of Presidential Regulation No. 36 of 2005, if there is a dispute over the compensation amount, land rights holders have the right to submit objections to the Regent/Mayor, Governor, or Minister of Home Affairs, along with an explanation and reasons for the objection. The process of determining compensation should begin with deliberations, ensuring a fair and balanced resolution. This study concludes that the mechanism for providing compensation must prioritize deliberation, taking into account various factors, including social, cultural, legal, humanitarian, economic, and political aspects. These considerations ensure that the compensation process is not only fair and equitable but also respects the rights and dignity of the affected landholders, contributing to social harmony and public trust in the land acquisition process. This research provides valuable insights for policymakers and stakeholders involved in land acquisition for public development projects, ensuring that legal protections are in place to safeguard the interests of affected communities.

Abstract

This research examines barriers to digital twin adoption in Indonesian industries, by employing Innovation Resistance Theory (IRT). Indonesia's burgeoning energy demands necessitate decarbonization efforts, and digital twins offer a promising solution for improving energy efficiency to reduce emissions. However, their adoption lags. The study investigates functional (usage, value, risk) and psychological (image) barriers to adoption of digital twin. Hypotheses posit a positive relationship between each barrier and resistance to adoption of digital twin. The research also examines the moderating role of incentive policies in the relationship of each barrier and the resistance to adopt digital twin. By employing a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey of Indonesian industrial professionals, and PLS-SEM analysis, the study finds significant positive effects of usage, value, and risk barriers on resistance of adoption of digital twin. Image barriers show a weaker, non-significant influence. While incentive policies positively moderate the relationship between usage barriers and resistance, their impact on value and risk barriers is negative. These findings highlight the importance of addressing concerns about cost, technological superiority, and risk alongside the need for stronger, more targeted government support in addressing financial and risk-related aspects. Understanding the interplay of barriers and incentive policies is crucial for promoting digital twin uptake, fostering sustainable industrial growth in Indonesia. Further research could explore the specific contexts of various industrial sectors.

Abstract

Physical activity has long been linked to modifications in hematologic profiles as the body's compensating response to the stress of physical training. Several earlier research studies have discovered that physical activity impacts red blood cells, leukocytes, and platelets, while the findings remain contentious. Monitoring an athlete's hematologic profile is critical for effective training management. The purpose of this study is to analyze the hematologic profile of young adults who attend sports-specialized schools. This cross-sectional study included 30 students (15 males and 15 females). Blood samples were collected using standard venipuncture methods and examined on an automatic Sysmex XP-300 analyzer. The analytical results revealed that all participants had mean or median values for each complete blood count (CBC) parameter and leukocyte differential count that were normal for the general population. Females showed greater mean/median values for all CBC indices except hemoglobin, hematocrit, erythrocytes, MCHC, and RDW. For ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate), all participants exhibited normal levels, with females having greater levels. The leukocyte differential count showed that the results for male and female patients were comparable. Sport students' hematologic profiles are normal for the overall community. However, it is critical to remember that physical activity alters the blood and its components, prompting the need for hematologic indices specific to athletes or sports students.
