The development of information and communication technology has brought major changes in various aspects of life, including in the field of trade. E-commerce or electronic commerce has become one of the sectors that is growing rapidly in Indonesia. However, on the other hand, the development of e-commerce also raises various new challenges in consumer protection. This research aims to analyze the impact of e-commerce developments on the application of consumer protection laws in trade law in Indonesia. This research uses normative juridical research methods. The data collection technique used in this research is literature study. The collected data was analyzed using qualitative analysis methods. The research results show that the development of e-commerce in Indonesia has had a significant impact on the implementation of consumer protection laws. Some of the main problems faced by consumers include non-transparency of product information, fraud, and a lack of effective dispute resolution mechanisms. Although there are various regulations governing consumer protection, their implementation still needs to be improved, especially in the context of e-commerce. This research recommends increasing outreach and education regarding consumer rights, strengthening regulations specific to e-commerce, and developing dispute resolution mechanisms that are more effective and easily accessible to consumers.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the development of public companies is one of the influencing factors for the emergence and development of the public accounting profession. This study aims to analyze the influence of audit opinions, management changes, and audit delays on voluntary auditor switching by moderating the variables of financial difficulties. This study is focused on banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for a certain period. The research method uses moderation regression analysis with secondary data obtained from the company's annual report. The results show that audit opinions and audit delays have a significant influence on voluntary auditor switching. The change of management did not show a significant influence on the decision to replace the auditor. In addition, the variable of financial difficulties moderated the relationship between audit opinions and voluntary auditor switching, but did not moderate the relationship between audit delay or management change and voluntary auditor switching. These findings provide important insights for banking companies in making strategic decisions related to the selection of external auditors and financial management.

Abstract

The Durenan - Prigi road section is a 30.4 km long road that is authorized by the East Java Provincial Government, this road is one of the access roads to Prigi Beach, Mutiara Beach and other tourist attractions in Trenggalek Regency. The road that is the access to the tour certainly requires care and maintenance to always be in steady condition and does not reduce the comfort of road users. Factors that cause damage include traffic load factors, soil condition factors, weather, rain, drainage channel factors and so on. In monitoring road conditions, there is a road condition assessment, namely the Surface Distress Index (SDI) method. The objective of this research is to evaluate the condition of the Durenan-Prigi road section using the Surface Distress Index (SDI) method to assess its current state, determine necessary maintenance actions, and estimate the required budget for its upkeep. The SDI method is a method of assessing the condition of the road surface by making visual observations. The SDI method has four types of damage in assessing road conditions with four categories of road condition assessment results. The Durenan - Prigi road section has an average SDI value of 11.89 with an assessment of "Good" condition.  Nevertheless, maintenance is still required with an estimated budget of Rp2,596,960,786.27. The budget includes three main components, namely type 3 emulsified asphalt coating (CQS-1h) amounting to Rp2,392,020,512.39, repairing the cold-applied asbuton mixture amounting to Rp160,955,321.83, and closing type 1 cracks (crack width 0.20-0.50 cm) amounting to Rp43,984,952.06.

Abstract

This research discusses the relevance of the thought of Muhammad Abduh, a reformist Islamic intellectual, to the policies and work programs of the Indonesian government. Muhammad Abduh is known as a figure who championed the reinterpretation of Sharia principles to respond to the challenges of modernity, focusing on social justice, waqf reform, Islamic financial systems, and education. His thinking provides an important foundation for the development of a modern Islamic economy that is inclusive and equitable. In the context of Indonesian government policy, the 2024-2029 work program that carries the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045 integrates the values of Sharia economics and social justice in line with Muhammad Abduh's ideas. Programs such as strengthening the Sharia economy, optimizing ZISWAF (zakat, infaq, sadaqah and waqf) funds, and alleviating extreme poverty reflect the practical implementation of Muhammad Abduh's ideas. The government also emphasizes economic transformation, halal industry development, increasing Sharia financial inclusion, and Islamic values-based education to strengthen global competitiveness. This study uses a descriptive-analytical method to evaluate the relationship between Muhammad Abduh's thought and public policy in Indonesia. The analysis shows that Muhammad Abduh's ideas are not only relevant in addressing national development challenges, but also provide concrete solutions in creating social justice, community empowerment, and strengthening the Sharia economic system. This research also offers practical recommendations on how Muhammad Abduh's Islamic economic principles can be applied more broadly to support sustainable and inclusive development in Indonesia.

Abstract

The construction of retaining walls in Mojokerto Regency is essential due to the region's hilly topography and the increasing risk of slope instability caused by high rainfall and lateral soil pressures. Retaining walls play a crucial role in stabilizing slopes, preventing landslides, and ensuring road infrastructure and mobility are preserved in areas prone to geotechnical challenges. This study focuses on determining the dimensions, costs, and construction timelines of cantilever and gravity retaining walls along the Temuireng-Jetis road section, a strategic route affected by frequent landslides. Using Coulomb's theory and triaxial soil test data, the analysis comprehensively compares the structural stability, safety factors, and economic efficiency of both designs. Results indicate that cantilever retaining walls achieve higher shear stability with a lower construction duration but incur higher costs due to the use of reinforced concrete and steel reinforcements. Conversely, gravity walls are more cost-effective, relying on their own weight for stability, but demand longer construction periods due to their massive size and additional requirements such as drainage systems. These findings contribute to efficient and sustainable infrastructure development, offering practical solutions for areas with varying topographic challenges and soil conditions.
