Abstract

Advances in information technology have driven transformation in various sectors, including the legal field, especially the notary profession. This article aims to analyze the urgency and challenges of the implementation of cyber notary in the Indonesian legal system. The method used is a juridical-normative approach with an analysis of relevant laws and regulations and a comparative study of cyber notary practices in other countries, such as the United States and Estonia. The results of the study show that cyber notaries offer various advantages, such as time and cost efficiency, increased access to legal services in remote areas, and adaptability in emergency conditions such as pandemics. However, its implementation in Indonesia faces significant obstacles, including regulatory limitations that still require physical presence in the making of deeds, weak technological infrastructure, and low digital literacy among notaries and the public. The discussion emphasized that without legal reform and strengthening of the cybersecurity system, the implementation of cyber notary will only be a concept without realization. It is necessary to revise the Law on the Notary Position and the establishment of special regulations that regulate online procedures, digital identity validation, and a valid and secure electronic document storage system. In conclusion, cyber notaries are an urgent need in the digital era. With the right legal, technological, and socialization support, this system can become an integral part of the modernization of notary services in Indonesia.

Abstract

Scheduling of elective surgery in oncology surgery patients is an important factor in determining the effectiveness of services and clinical outcomes. This paper aims to review the analysis of waiting time for elective surgery in oncology patients based on a literature review of the ProQuest, Scopus, and Google Scholar databases. Article selection was carried out using PICOS-based inclusion criteria and the PRISMA method. The review results showed that there was a variation in waiting time based on the type of cancer, with breast cancer patients generally having shorter waiting times than colorectal or cervical cancer. The implementation of a structured scheduling system has been shown to be effective in reducing waiting times by 15–30% compared to conventional scheduling, as well as improving patient satisfaction and experience. Factors such as multidisciplinary team collaboration, utilization of information technology, and operating room management are key to successful scheduling. However, challenges such as limited resources and system adaptation are still found. This review emphasizes the importance of optimizing the scheduling system to accelerate access to surgery and improve outcomes for oncology surgery patients.

Abstract

The rapid growth of social media use in Indonesia, especially Instagram, has transformed digital advertising strategies, with sponsored content emerging as a key promotional tool. Sponsored content, often delivered by influencers via stories and feeds, is perceived as more authentic and engaging compared to conventional brand ads. However, concerns about the transparency and ethical disclosure of sponsored content persist, affecting consumer trust and regulatory practices. This study aims to systematically review the effectiveness and characteristics of sponsored content on Instagram as a promotional medium in digital advertising, focusing on both global insights and implications for Indonesia. A systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted, analyzing 19 journal articles published between 2019 and 2023 sourced from databases including Scopus, Google Scholar, Sage Journals, and Taylor & Francis. The review applied PRISMA guidelines for identification, screening, and inclusion of relevant studies. Findings reveal that influencer-sponsored content on Instagram enhances brand awareness, consumer engagement, and purchase intent more effectively than traditional ads. Disclosure of sponsorship is crucial to prevent audience confusion and build trust, with regulations established in regions like Europe and America. Nonetheless, limited research addresses the Indonesian context, indicating a gap in understanding local practices and regulatory frameworks. This review highlights the need for future research exploring sponsored content within Indonesia’s digital advertising landscape and calls for the development of clear consumer protection policies to ensure transparency and ethical promotion on social media platforms..

Abstract

This study investigates the role of the Bissu, a traditional Bugis priestly figure, as an environmental communicator through the Mappalili ritual in Segeri, South Sulawesi. The problem addressed is the declining ecological relevance of traditional rituals amidst rapid modernization and technological changes in agriculture. The objective is to analyze how Bissu communicate environmental values through symbolic practices and assess their effectiveness using environmental leadership indicators: ecological vision, motivating others, exemplary leadership, effective communication, and goal orientation. A qualitative case study approach was employed, involving participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings reveal that while the Bissu maintain a strong cultural and symbolic presence in ritual leadership, their influence on practical agricultural and environmental practices has significantly diminished. Their role has shifted from active agents in environmental management to ceremonial figures. Although they promote traditional ecological wisdom, modern agricultural practices and the lack of institutional collaboration limit their communicative effectiveness. This research implies the need to integrate indigenous knowledge with contemporary environmental strategies through policy dialogue and community engagement to preserve cultural identity and promote sustainable development.

Abstract

The Cultural and Creative Industry (CCI) has a major contribution to economic and social development, but arts workers in Indonesia still face challenges in digital job search. This study aims to analyze the perception and experience of art workers towards Job Search Efficacy (JSE), which is an individual's belief in finding work effectively through digital platforms. Using a qualitative approach and Participatory Action Research (PAR) design, data was collected through in-depth interviews with ten art workers in Jakarta from various subsectors. The results showed that JSE was influenced by three main factors: personal factors (confidence, motivation, and digital literacy), social and community factors (support from family, friends, and art collectives), and technological factors (adaptability to algorithms and digital work platforms). Most of the informants said that conventional platforms such as LinkedIn or JobStreet have not supported the need for freelance and portfolio-based art work. Therefore, this study recommends four main policies: (1) contextual digital training based on the art subsector, (2) the development of art-specific digital work platforms, (3) increasing access to devices and internet connections, and (4) strengthening communities as spaces for learning and collaboration. These findings are expected to form the basis for policies to create a more inclusive and sustainable digital work ecosystem for arts workers.

Abstract

Firm value reflects investor perceptions and is influenced by environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. Prior studies show conflicting results on how green initiatives impact company value, particularly in emerging markets like Indonesia. This study investigates the effects of green accounting, green innovation, environmental performance, and sustainability reports on company value in Indonesia’s basic and chemical industry sector (2021–2023). Using purposive sampling, 84 companies were analyzed via multiple linear regression (SPSS 27). Variables were measured through environmental cost disclosures (green accounting), PROPER ratings (environmental performance), and sustainability report indices. Green accounting and sustainability reports negatively affect company value, while green innovation has a positive impact. Environmental performance shows no significant effect. The model’s low Adjusted R² (0.142) indicates other unexplored factors. Companies should prioritize cost-efficient green innovations over symbolic disclosures. Policymakers may need to incentivize genuine sustainability efforts. Future research should expand sectors (e.g., energy) and incorporate variables like profitability to enhance explanatory power.

Abstract

Leprosy (Morbus Hansen) is a chronic infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium leprae, primarily affecting the peripheral nerves and leading to sensory loss and the formation of chronic ulcers. This study investigates the efficacy of Curcuma longa rhizome and Moringa oleifera leaf extracts, known for their antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, in promoting wound healing in leprosy-related ulcers. Utilizing a pre-post, randomized, single-blinded controlled trial design, the study was conducted at Kelet Regional Hospital, Jepara, from January to April 2024. Participants included leprosy ulcer patients with a mean disease duration of 101.5 months, predominantly male (63.6%), and largely in the 51–60 age group (39.4%). Results indicated significant improvements in PUSH (Pressure Ulcer Scale for Healing) scores from pre-test to post-test within both the intervention and control groups (p<0.001). However, intergroup analysis showed no statistically significant difference in PUSH scores between groups (pre-test p=0.669; post-test p=0.198). These findings suggest that while C. longa and M. oleifera extracts have promising therapeutic potential in enhancing ulcer healing, their clinical efficacy may be limited by factors such as oral bioavailability. This research contributes to the limited literature on the use of plant-based adjunctive therapies in leprosy ulcer management and underscores the need for further studies with larger samples and improved delivery mechanisms to optimize clinical outcomes.
