Abstract

The development of digital technology has changed consumer behavior in choosing payment methods on e-commerce platforms. This study involved 100 respondents who have used the PayLater and Cash on Delivery (COD) payment methods at TikTok Shop and Shopee, to compare consumer preferences for the two payment methods using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The four main criteria analyzed include convenience, security, ease, and trust, with sub-criteria such as customer protection, transaction security, payment flexibility, and service reliability. The results show that consumers prefer the COD payment method at Shopee compared to other methods on both platforms. This is due to the better security, trust, and ease of transaction factors at Shopee. The urgency of this research stems from the increasing competition among e-commerce platforms and the need to understand consumer preferences when choosing payment methods, thereby providing strategic insights for platform managers to optimize their services. As such, Shopee is still the more dominant platform in meeting consumer needs regarding cash-on-delivery payment methods.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of e-banking and QRIS usage on business development through employee performance at PT. Arsinum Uniba Madura. A quantitative research approach was employed, involving a survey of 79 respondents comprising owners, managers, employees, suppliers, and customers. Data were collected in December 2024 and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0 software. The findings reveal that e-banking significantly enhances employee performance but does not have a direct effect on business development. Conversely, QRIS usage significantly improves employee performance and indirectly drives business development through this improvement. Employee performance itself shows a strong and significant positive impact on business development. These results highlight that adopting financial technology alone is insufficient; it must be accompanied by strategies to strengthen employees’ digital skills and adaptability. The study contributes to the literature on FinTech adoption in MSMEs and offers practical guidance for integrating digital payment systems with workforce development. Future research should expand the sample across multiple sectors and regions and examine other mediating factors such as innovation capability and customer satisfaction.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of influencer credibility and trust in user reviews on skincare purchasing decisions via social media. Addressing a gap in prior research that largely focuses on general consumer goods, it highlights the skincare sector’s unique characteristics of high involvement, personal preference, and perceived risk. Influencer credibility dimensions include expertise, honesty, sincerity, and engagement, while trust in user reviews is measured through the impact of positive/negative feedback and the credibility of information on product ingredients and long-term effects. Using a quantitative survey with purposive sampling, questionnaires were distributed to frequent skincare buyers on social media. Data were analyzed through multiple regression. Results indicate that influencer expertise and honesty significantly boost purchasing decisions, with engagement fostering trust indirectly. Positive user reviews emphasizing product ingredients and long-term effects also significantly influence decisions, underscoring the value of credible peer content. Findings align with previous studies on the role of credibility and trust in online purchasing but stress the skincare industry’s reliance on transparency and product efficacy. Practically, marketers should collaborate with knowledgeable influencers, ensure transparent communication, and encourage detailed user reviews. Future research should consider moderators like brand loyalty, price sensitivity, and perceived safety.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has changed shopping behavior, especially among students, as the digital native generation. This study aims to analyze the influence of Shopee's information system quality and digital marketing strategy on changes in online shopping behavior among Asahan University students in 2025. The method used was quantitative with a causal associative approach. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using F-tests, t-tests, and the coefficient of determination (R²). The results show that Shopee's information system quality and digital marketing strategy simultaneously and partially significantly influence changes in online shopping behavior among students. A fast and user-friendly system, along with digital promotions such as flash sales and personal discounts, increases shopping intensity and patterns. These findings emphasize the importance of technology and marketing synergy in shaping digital consumer behavior.

Abstract

Micro-enterprises engaged in tofu production in Sidodadi Village, Asahan Regency, play an important role in supporting the local economy. However, these enterprises often encounter challenges in optimizing key production factors, particularly the availability of labor and raw materials. The core issue of this study is to determine how far these two factors influence the level of tofu production. This research aims to analyze the effect of the number of workers and the volume of raw materials on tofu production among micro-enterprises in the region. A quantitative method with multiple linear regression analysis was applied, supported by data collection through observation, interviews, and questionnaires distributed to business actors and workers. The results revealed that both labor and raw materials have a significant partial and simultaneous effect on tofu production volume. The F test confirmed the model’s feasibility (F = 69.238, Sig. = 0.000), while the t test showed that each independent variable significantly affected production (Sig. < 0.05). The Adjusted R² of 0.064 indicates that 6.4% of the variation in tofu production can be explained by the two variables. These findings imply that improving labor efficiency and managing raw material availability are essential strategies for enhancing productivity and strengthening the economic empowerment of micro-enterprises in Sidodadi Village.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between communication, interpersonal, and perception of Organizational cohesion among employees of private companies in Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek). Interpersonal communication involves the direct exchange of messages involving aspects such as self-concept, self-expression, and openness. Organizational cohesion reflects the extent to which members feel socially connected and connected in carrying out group tasks. This study used a quantitative correlational approach with 100 respondents selected through purposive sampling. The instruments used were an interpersonal communication questionnaire based on Bienvenu's theory and organizational cohesion based on the GEQ by Carron et al. The results of the analysis showed no significant relationship between interpersonal communication and organizational cohesion (r = -0.084). This finding differs from previous research and is thought to be influenced by contextual factors such as organizational culture and the dominance of formal communication. Nevertheless, interpersonal communication remains important in creating a healthy and harmonious work environment.
