Abstract

This study aims to reveal the content of da'wah messages in voicing the defense of Palestine which includes aqidah, sharia and ahlak contained in Ustadz Felix Siauw's da'wah material in his YouTube account with the title "The War Is Not Only In Gaza, But Also In Our Heads". This research uses Critical Media theory where social media can be used as a forum for sharing knowledge to free humans, especially the small and poor people from the oppressive system structure such as the people in Palestine. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach that describes a message or text in detail until the results are found in the form of words not numbers. Primary data in the study were obtained from the transcripts of Ustad Felix Siauw's lectures and secondary data were taken from related journals and articles. Data collection techniques using observation and documentation, with Hermeneutic analysis techniques convey and translate God's messages into a more understandable language. The results obtained are seven points of da'wah messages in the Aqidah category, five points of da'wah messages in the Sharia category and seven points of da'wah messages in the Akhlak category.

Abstract

The paper describes the synergy of the Indonesian Islamic calendar with the local wisdom of the 10 Muharram tradition in ethnic Bugis. Ethno-cultural issues associated with Bella Pitunrupa's staple purchasing decisions at the Palakka central market in Bone. The instrument of analysis is not just a scientific play on price fluctuations, supply and demand, market price competition hunting for blessings and related socio-economic ethno-culture, formal juridical, living philosophy of humanism and the urgency of the Islamic calendar in daily life itself. The ethno-cultural analysis of 10 Muharram on the decision to purchase Bella Pitunrupa staples for ethnic bugs in the central market of Bone Regency is very important to study to understand the synergy of the Indonesian Islamic calendar with the local wisdom of the 10 Muharram tradition. The type of verification qualitative research is the analysis of theory and field research through a casuistic normative approach. The data analysis method in this research is qualitative cross-science with ideal-normative deductive reasoning. The results showed that theoretically there is no harm in traders understanding and using the Indonesian Islamic calendar as an indicator of understanding price fluctuations in general ahead of 10 Muharram. After the data is collected and data checking or verification is held to test the validity of field data in the central market of Bone regency related to Bella Pitunrupa's staples. Analyzing the collected data and classifying the quality of primary and secondary data needed. The author makes conclusions and suggestions relating to the purchase decision of Bella Pitunrupa ethnic bugis in the central market of Bone district.

Abstract

The study investigates the impact of a new teacher education curriculum emphasizing cross-cutting approaches for equal and inclusive mathematics teaching. Following from this, this study aims to assess the impact preservice teachers said the programme had on their practices. Employing a qualitative approach, this case study involved interviews with five preservice teachers. The investigation focused on understanding how the curriculum assisted them in addressing egalitarianism in mathematics education. Findings indicated that preservice teachers gained insights into equity-oriented mathematics teaching, emphasizing equal accessibility. They encountered challenges and opportunities associated with inclusive mathematics instruction, navigating complex situations to ensure equal student achievement. The results also underscored their enhanced understanding of equality in mathematics education. The study draws conclusive insights from the results, emphasizing the importance of teacher education programmes in shaping preservice teachers' perspectives on egalitarian practices in the mathematics classroom. Implications: The research suggested that fostering egalitarianism in mathematics education necessitates active involvement from teacher educators. They should play a pivotal role in guiding preservice teachers to enact egalitarian practices during their practicum experiences.

Abstract

The current study sought to improve student performance in mathematics by focusing on motivation, student self-efficacy, and teaching quality. The study's descriptive correlation design used a questionnaire to gather data from the intended students. With a sample size of 355 students, the study's population consisted of 3139 students pressuring agric, business, general science, and general arts. Respondents from each stratum were chosen using simple random sampling that was stratified and purposeful. An analysis of the hypothesis routes was conducted using Amos' structural equation model (ver. 23). The student's results showed that improving student performance in mathematics was directly impacted by teaching quality, motivation, and student self-efficacy.

Abstract

This research phenomenon is due to the low ability of teachers to utilize information technology in learning. The purpose of this research is to find out and analyze the influence of teacher competence on the use of information technology and to determine the influence of motivation teachers' work on the use of information technology in secondary education. Benefit study This It can be a reference source and contribute to the development of the field of human resource management, especially those related to educator competency and motivation and utilization of information technology. Then this research can provide input for secondary education in developing educational technology competencies and how to increase teacher motivation in improving their skills in using information technology. Type study This is study quantitative research approach used is explanatory research. Location study This is on UPT SPF Junior High School Negeri 6 Makassar. The population in this study were all teachers at UPT SPF SMP Negeri 6 Makassar, totaling 50 people. The method used in sampling is saturated sampling, or the entire population is used as a sample is as many as 50 people Because amount population is small everything is sampled. Data analysis used on study is quantitative with multiple Linear regression.  The results of this research show that human resource competence has a positive and significant effect on the use of information technology. Teacher work motivation has a positive and significant effect on the use of information technology.

Abstract

This study used descriptive research methods to determine the understanding, perceived effects, and implications of climate change on the livelihood of the farmers in Barangay Sarip-Alawi, Balo-I, Lanao Del Norte. Interview Schedule was used as an instrument to obtain necessary information from the respondents of this study and the data were presented and analyzed using frequency, percentage and the weighted mean. As to level of understanding on climate change, the respondents held a very high level of understanding. The respondents strongly agreed that climate change has already occurred; that it is a global issue; it happened in their community; and it affects their livelihood. They strongly agreed that they perceived the effects of climate change on their farming activities. Moreover, the respondents strongly agreed that climate change can cause failures in their crop production, decrease of yield harvest, affect their farming schedule, affect the soil, and delay their harvesting activity. Thus, different strategies were used by the farmers to mitigate the effects of climate change on their farming and livelihood activities. Some of those mitigation and adaptation practices are by changing in cropping pattern and cropping technique calendar, diversifying of income-generating and other livelihood activities, and practicing multi-cropping.

Abstract

This study investigated enhancing professionalism through counselling in public universities in Edo and Delta States of Nigeria. The purpose of the study was to find out if professionalism predicts counsellor competencies of prospective counsellor in public Universities in Edo and Delta States. Two research questions were raised and one hypothesis was formulated and tested at 0.05 level of significance. Survey research design adopting the correlational approach was used in this study. The population of the study comprised all Masters Students in public universities in Edo and Delta States in the 2020/2021,2021/2022 and 2022/2023 sessions who had completed practicum counselling course. A sample of 89 prospective counsellors was used for the study. Reliability coefficients of 0.914, 0.630,0.818, 0.691, 0.607, were obtained for competence and skill, communication, teamwork, critical thinking, ethics respectively for the Counsellor Personality characteristics questionnaire subscale. 0.810, 0.896, 0.796 were obtained for knowledge, skills and behavioural sub-scales respectively for Counsellor Competency Questionnaire. Descriptive statistics and Regression analysis were used for analysis of data and testing of hypothesis respectively. The outcomes of the study revealed the following: The level of counselling competencies of prospective counsellors in public universities in Edo and Delta States is high; The five points professionalism do not significantly predict Counselling Competencies. It was recommended among other that professional counsellors should concentrate on the training programme of the prospective counsellors in order to inculcate in students the techniques and ethics of the profession since it has been proven that the five points professionalism do not predict counselling competencies.

Abstract

This paper discusses the transdisciplinary approach and its importance to be discussed and applied in the world of higher education research to understand and address the complexity of socio-cultural problems. Gillez Deleuze and Felix Guattari through a famous book, A Thousand Plateaus proposed two terms "arborescent" and "rhizome" as a metaphor for two paradigms and scientific approach in teaching and research. The concept “aborrescent” in many respects considered inadequate applied in the scientific world that tends to see reality is atomistic, but complex and mutually overlap (networking). Giles Deleuze and Felix Guattari proposed the concept of the rhizome as a metaphor for the paradigm and post-disciplinary scientific approach. UNESCO, CIRET and many scientific institutions and university in developed countries have done symposium, seminars and carry out research with a trans-disciplinary approach. The development of science-technology and complex and fast-changing cultural reality, requires colleges to understand and apply the trans-disciplinary approach.

Abstract

This research evaluates the implementation of the Independent Community-Based Curriculum in Tidore Islands City madrasah, with a focus on the quality and suitability of the Madrasah Operational Curriculum (KOM) documents and the Mapping of Strengthening Character Education and Religious Risk Assessment (P5 P2RA). Through a qualitative approach with case study methods, this research involved four state madrasas as the main locations: MAN 1, MAN 2, MTsN 2, and MTsN 3. The results of the research showed that the level of suitability and quality of documents varied, with MAN 1 and MAN 2 having documents that superior to MTsN 2 and MTsN 3. The curriculum at these madrasah successfully integrates local cultural values, character education, and 21st century skills such as critical thinking and collaboration. However, the main challenges include a lack of supporting facilities and the need to increase teacher competency. Research recommendations include teacher training, strengthening facilities, and collaborating with the community. This research emphasizes the importance of curriculum relevance to local contexts to create more inclusive and contextual education.
