Abstract

ABSTRACTNowadays, education is required to grow in accordance with the increasingly sophisticated era. Changes in the composition of high-level thinking skills in 21st Century skills as a consequence of changing demands for educational standards that require graduates who are critical, creative, communicative, and collaborative. The learning process that occurs in schools at the moment emphasizes more on Hard Skills and less emphasis on Soft Skills. This is due to the fact that in practice learning done in schools there are still many that run as is where the learning is still transferring knowledge from teachers to students, so to overcome these problems the Models of  Cooperative Learning Type Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) is applied in the learning process carried out by the teacher with the aim of developing aspects of Soft Skills especially in the communication skills of students. This study uses qualitative and quantitative approaches with classroom action research methods. The purpose of using classroom action research methods is to improve and improve the quality of the process and learning outcomes (students' communication skills). The stages in this study include the stages of planning, implementing actions, observations, and reflections. Data obtained in this study includes activity observation sheets the teacher, and the observation sheet of students 'activities.The results of observations of students' communication abilities in the first cycle of actions obtained enough categories (65.72%) and in the second cycle of actions experienced an increase that is obtained a good category (81.71%). It was concluded that by applying the models of  Cooperative Learning Type STAD in Social Sciences learning can improve students' communication skills.Keywords: Cooperative Learning Type STAD, Soft Skills, Communication ABSTRAKDewasa ini pendidikan dituntut  untuk terus berkembang sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman yang semakin canggih. Perubahan komposisi kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi pada keterampilan Abad 21 sebagai konsekuensi perubahan tuntutan-tuntutan standar-standar pendidikan yang menghendaki lulusan yang kritis, kreatif, komunikatif, dan kolaboratif.  Proses pembelajaran yang terjadi di sekolah saat ini lebih menekankan kepada Hard Skills dan kurang menekankan kepada Soft Skills. Hal ini disebabkan karena dalam praktiknya pembelajaran yang dilakukan di sekolah masih banyak yang berjalan apa adanya yang mana pembelajarannya masih transfer  pengetahuan dari guru kepada siswa, maka untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut diterapkan model Cooperative Learning Tipe  Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) dalam proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru dengan tujuan untuk mengembangkan aspek Soft Skills  khususnya dalam kemampuan komunikasi peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian tindakan kelas. Tujuan dari penggunaan metode penelitian tindakan kelas yaitu untuk memperbaiki dan meningkatkan mutu proses dan hasil pembelajaran (kemampuan komunikasi peserta didik). Adapun tahapan dalam penelitian ini meliputi tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini meliputi lembar observasi aktivitas guru, dan lembar observasi aktivitas peserta didik. Hasil observasi kemampuan komunikasi peserta didik  pada tindakan siklus I diperoleh katagori cukup (65,72%) dan  pada tindakan siklus II mengalami peningkatan yaitu diperoleh katagori baik (81,71%). Berdasarkan hasil observasi dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menerapkan model Cooperative Learning Tipe STAD pada pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial   dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi peserta didik.Kata Kunci:  Cooperative Learning Tipe STAD, Soft Skills, Komunikasi

Abstract

Tabot is the local wisdom of Bengkulu whose existence plays an important role in society. As a pearl of local wisdom, the values contained in Tabot tradition are very important to be internalized to students as young people. One of the strategies is through integrated Tabot local wisdom in history learning in senior high school, especially as a source of learning. The purposes of this research are to describe Tabot local wisdom and analyze the relevance of Tabot local wisdom as a source of history learning in senior high school. This research was conducted with library research. The research steps undertaken are: 1) preparing tools and equipment; 2) compiling a working bibliography; 3) arranging research time; 4) reading and making research notes, and 5) concluding and analyzing the results of the research. The results of the research showed that: 1) Tabot tradition in one tradition that has been entrenched in Bengkulu, whose existence has been going on for hundreds of years. As a tradition that breathes Islam, Tabot tradition in Bengkulu has experienced acculturation with a local culture so that it can survive until now. Also, the Tabot tradition is a tradition that is rich in values, especially religious and social values such as cooperation, brotherhood, social care, responsibility, and others; 2) Tabot local wisdom is very relevant to be used as a source of history learning in senior high school, especially on three Basic Competences, namely Basic Competence 3.7. and Basic Competence 3.8. for X classes and Basic Competence 3.2. for the XI class.

Abstract

The controversy of Syekh Lemah Abang in Cirebon manuscripts occurs in his ambiguous narrative. This ambiguity of Syekh Lemah Abang narrative refers to the anachronism of historiography of manuscript. Based on this narrative ambiguity and anachronistic story, this research answer the question of what is relationship between story of Syekh Lemah Abang of 16th century. and the situation of Cirebon people in VOC and Dutch colonial Era in 18th century. the time when the manuscripts on it are produced and reproduced.First, political history of Cirebon society is covered by domination of the foreign ruler. Only in the period of Sunan Gunung Jati until Panembahan Ratu II is an independence occurred in Cirebon. This situation was expressed in the narrative of Syekh Lemah Abang by presenting opposition between “Islamic state” represented by Wali Songo, and “the deviate community” represented by Syekh Lemah Abang 16th century. Second, resurrection of Syekh Lemah Abang narrative is the call for resurgence of Cirebon society against VOC and Dutch colonial domination. Syekh Lemah Abang and Wali Songo, both of them are the riches and heritage of Cirebon society. This resurrection answer the unrest feeling against the domination of VOC and Dutch colonial in 18th, the time when the manuscript on Syekh Lemah Abang written and reproduced.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The development of today's world is a challenge for education. Obviously, the development of emerging from and in education. However, developments on the other side could have an impact on the disorientation of the meaning and practice of education. Education should ideally be a vehicle for the establishment of a human into a more humane, just disoriented meaning and praxis. The existence of facts and experience degradation, disparity, discrepancy, dehumanization, and the ecological damage suggests that the failure of education, in terms of both concept and practice. To be able to restore the sense and understanding of education as a human being human activity make the necessary efforts to restore the concept and praxis of real education. The initial step is an effort to re-define and re-orientation of transformative education. Today, initiated the re-education of character transformative become very urgent and relevant in order to reposition the image of humanity that is eroded by the effects of negative developments.  ABSTRAK Perkembangan dunia dewasa ini menjadi tantangan tersendiri bagi dunia pendidikan. Sudah jelas, perkembangan muncul dari dan dalam pendidikan. Namun perkembangan pada sisi lain bisa berdampak pada disorientasi terhadap makna dan praksis pendidikan. Pendidikan yang idealnya menjadi wahana pembentukan manusia menjadi lebih manusiawi, justru mengalami disorientasi makna dan praksisnya. Adanya fakta dan pengalaman degradasi, disparitas, diskrepansi, dehumanisasi, dan kerusakan ekologis memberi kesimpulan bahwa pendidikan  mengalami kegagalan, baik dari segi konsep maupun prakteknya. Untuk bisa mengembalikan pengertian dan pemahaman pendidikan sebagai aktivitas membuat manusia menjadi manusiawi maka perlu berbagai upaya mengembalikan konsep dan praksis pendidikan yang sebenarnya. Langkah awal adalah upaya definisi ulang dan orientasi kembali pendidikan yang transformatif. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan berpikir spasial mahasiswa jurusan Pendidikan Geografi FKIP USK. Keterampilan berpikir spasial dapat dibangun melalui pembelajaran geogarfi. Berpikir spasial merupakan kemampuan proses berpikir seseorang dalam mengenal kondisi ruang tertentu. Berpikir spasial memberikan keuntungan terhadap seseorang agar mampu memanfaatkan informasi keruangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian survei. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Geografi angkatan 2018 yang berjumlah 53 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes kecerdasan spasial menggunakan kisi-kisi Spatial Thingking Ability Test (STAT). Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diketahui bahwa kategori keterampilan berpikir spasial mahasiswa jurusan Pendidikan geografi lebih dominan pada kategori sedang dengan persentase sebesar 37,90%. Indikator yang paling tinggi persentasenya pada variabel keterampilan berpikir spasial adalah indikator gradien yakni membayangkan profil lereng berdasarkan peta topografi dengan tingkat persentase yang tergolong tinggi yaitu sebesar 88,68%. Sementara indikator dengan tingkat persentase yang tergolong rendah terdapat pada variabel koordinat yakni memahami letak objek berdasarkan koordinat melalui garis grid pada peta dengan persentase sebesar 50,94%. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian disarankan kepada mahasiswa untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir spasial melalui pembelajaran mata kuliah yang memiliki teori-teori yang dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir spasialnya

Abstract

This article was written for the anxiety of the phenomenon of the rise of the idea of ​​democracy as if change is to be erratic form of government, not driven by reason and rational needs. That since its inception, the idea of ​​democracy increasingly widespread after experiencing various historical events, especially when the formulation of the American Constitution in 1776 and the French Revolution of 1789. The democratic system is becoming more popular among followers of republicanism and is a critique of the dominance of the monarchy system in Europe. Nowadays, democracy can be seen as a ‘product’ as that term is defined previously as a ‘source of power’ rather than as ‘a method of governance’. Despite modern democracy is a complex device, but logic is expressed seem to contain a single principles. That democracy contains elements of popular participation, majority rule, minority protection, individual freedom, freedom guaranteed by law, participation in policy formulation at all levels, as well as equality. Abstract

This research aims to reveal the ability of interpersonal communication among students after the implemention of the learning model of concept map, two stay two stray, and two stay two stray with concept map. This research was experiment type designing the factorial pre test – post test involving two variables – two stay two stray and concept map. The object of this research was two senior high schools at Barru, South Sulawesi. The respondents in this research were 122 students. The result disclosed that the instrument of the ability of interpersonal communication among students has valid and reliable of Cronbach Alpha 0.822. The change of  communication as independent variable revealed that the learning model of concept map, two stay two stray, and two stay two stray with concept map provides positive effects on the ability of interpersonal communication among students. The learning model of two stay two stray provided the greatest effect with the value of 32.4%. The effect of concept map using the same size only provided the value of 7.8% and  the combination of both only provided the value of 4.4%. The further result revealed that the response of teachers on the the given treatment has positive and students have positive response and assess that the given treatment supports their learning in the classroom.

Abstract

This study was conducted to gain an overview of togetherness and harmony in the life of a multi-religious society Cigugur. The study was conducted using descriptive-qualitative methods deskriktif, with the observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation study as data collection techniques. The results showed that  Cigugur people who have a diversity in religion, namely Islam, Christianity, Catholicism, Protestantism, Aga ma Djawa Sunda (ADS) can coexist peacefully. They can live together respectfully because they have strong blood ties. For the people together is more important than the divisions caused by differing views. The unifying fac tor is the chairman of each religion, in addition to the prominent role of Pangeran Djatikusumah as Madrais descent.As the dominant culture, Agama Djawa Sunda (ADS) implement a full tolerance for Cigugur society to embrace and practice religious.

Abstract

This study aims to determine differences in social studies achievement in students who use instructional media visuals that do not use. The study was conducted in Yasmine School with a sample size of 40 students. The study used an experimental method, namely by providing pre-test and post-test. Visual learning media can facilitate understanding and strengthen memory, and cultivate students' interest and can provide the relationship between the content of the subject matter with the real world. The use of visual learning media, hopefully not boring learning social studies only look at the text, but with the visualization of the material presented by the teacher, the learning more interesting and challenging.

Abstract

AbstractThe problem in this research is the declining student achievement in economic subjects seen from the UN (National Examination) SMA throughout Ciamis District. The method used was a survey, while technical analysis of test data using path analysis. Samples used as many as 33 teachers.The results showed that teachers’ self-efficacy and motivation to learn in the medium category, while the creativity of teachers in the low category.The conclusion of the study are (1) self-efficacy of teachers negatively affect students’ motivation, (2) creativity teachers have a positive influence on the students motivation, (3) self-efficacy of teachers have a positive influence on student achievement. (4) the creativity of teachers have a positive influence on student achievement. (5) students’ motivation negative effect on student achievement.AbstrakArtikel ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keprihatinan terhadap menurunnya prestasi belajar siswa pada Matapelajaran Ekonomi dilihat dari nilai UN (Ujian Nasional) anak-anak SMA Negeri se-Kabupaten Ciamis. Metode yang digunakan adalah survey, sedangkan teknis analisis data menggunakan uji path analysis. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 33 guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) self-efficacy guru berpengaruh negatif terhadap motivasi belajar siswa, (2) kreativitas guru berpengaruh positif terhadap motivasi belajar siswa, (3) self-efficacy guru berpengaruh positif terhadap prestasi belajar siswa, (4) kreativitas guru berpengaruh positif terhadap prestasi belajar siswa.
