Pterygium is a pathological fibrovascular growth resulting from thickening and folding of the bulbar conjunctiva, characterized as both degenerative and invasive. In Indonesia, the recurrence rate of pterygium after surgery is reported to be around 35–52%. The exact etiology remains unclear, but several risk factors have been identified, including ultraviolet exposure, chronic microtrauma to the eye, and microbial or viral infections. This case report presents a 48-year-old woman who complained of a foreign body sensation in her left eye. Management consisted of topical betamethasone eye drops administered every 2 hours. Since the symptoms did not impair vision, surgical intervention was not performed. The prognosis in this case is ad bonam. The purpose of this case report is to describe the clinical problem, identify potential risk factors, and provide the most appropriate management for the patient with pterygium

Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) among adolescents gives rise to compulsive social media use. Young people often feel compelled to remain connected to the digital world in order not to fall behind, generating persistent anxiety that may disrupt their mental well-being. The phenomenon of FoMO was observed in Kalang Magetan Village, where it was found that FoMO among rural adolescents is primarily influenced by limited social interaction (life satisfaction). The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between life satisfaction, Self-Control, and FoMO. The participants comprised 186 adolescents from Kalang Magetan Village. The research adopted a quantitative, correlational design. Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire with five response options, and analysis was conducted through multiple linear regression. The findings revealed a significant negative relationship between both life satisfaction and Self-Control with FoMO tendencies in adolescents. Specifically, there was a significant negative correlation between life satisfaction and FoMO, as well as between Self-Control and FoMO. The practical contribution of life satisfaction to FoMO was 2.5%, while that of Self-Control was 32.1%, resulting in a combined effective contribution of 34.6% from both variables.

This study examines the empowerment of the elderly at UPT Tresna Werdha Pasuruan using a descriptive qualitative approach through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation analysis. The study applies Zimmerman’s empowerment quality theory, which encompasses intrapersonal, interactional, and behavioral dimensions. Findings reveal that empowerment programs—covering spiritual guidance, skills training, arts, and recreational activities—contribute to enhancing self-confidence, self-esteem, optimism, and strengthening social relationships among the elderly. These outcomes are supported by a well-structured organizational system, stable funding from the regional budget, and empathetic communication between staff and the elderly. Importantly, the elderly are positioned as active subjects rather than passive recipients of services, thereby maintaining social functioning and independence. While the program has proven effective, further development is necessary through the formulation of measurable long-term objectives and the expansion of partnerships with external stakeholders. Cross-sector collaboration is expected to enrich activities, mobilize additional resources, and reinforce social support, ensuring that the sustainability of elderly life can be achieved in a holistic and enduring manner.

This research aims to analyze the influence of perceived value directly and indirectly through customer involvement on cooperative customer loyalty. The approach used is quantitative with the path analysis method. The application used for data analysis techniques is Lisrel 10.2. Data was collected through a questionnaire in the form of a Googleform link from 391 employee cooperative members from 22 cooperatives in DKI Jakarta. The questionnaire is structured based on the development of the dimensions of each variable. The perceived value variable has the dimensions emotional value, social value, quality value, and price value. The customer involvement variable has the variables enthusiasm, attention, absorption, interaction and identification. The customer loyalty variable has the dimensions of repeat purchases, recommendations, commitment and purchases outside the product or service line. Data analysis techniques use measurement model analysis and hypothesis testing. The results of research using Confirmatory Factor Analysis show that all dimensions contained in the variables of perceived value, customer involvement and customer loyalty in the research are in the fit category so they are suitable for use in research. Perceived value can be a good predictor variable for customer engagement and customer loyalty. Perceived value has a greater influence and contribution when compared to customer involvement on customer loyalty.

Charcoal briquettes produced from lignocellulosic biomass represent a renewable alternative to fossil fuels for household cooking and small-scale energy use. This study assessed the influence of raw material composition on the physical, mechanical, and chemical characteristics of briquettes made from red meranti (Shorea leprosula Miq.) wood waste and betung bamboo (Dendrocalamus asper). A Completely Randomized Design with five treatment ratios—100% red meranti, 75:25, 50:50, 25:75, and 100% bamboo—was applied with five replications for density, moisture content, compressive strength, volatile matter, ash content, and fixed carbon, and three replications for calorific value. Results showed that 100% red meranti briquettes had the highest calorific value (6647.91 cal/g) and fixed carbon content (68.18%). The 75% red meranti + 25% bamboo treatment exhibited the most balanced performance, with good density, compressive strength, moderate ash content, and high calorific value (6288.60 cal/g). Increasing bamboo proportion improved density and volatile matter but lowered calorific value. Overall, red meranti-dominant briquettes provide superior energy quality, while mixed compositions offer a balanced alternative for sustainable domestic fuel production from local biomass resources

The Mekaar Program is an ultra-micro financing program that aims to improve the economic independence of productive underprivileged communities, especially women. The success of the Mekaar Program is greatly influenced by human resource management, particularly Account Officers (AOs) as the main implementers of assistance in the field. This study aims to analyze the internal and external factors that influence the development of the Mekaar Program in the Bengkulu Region, formulate development strategies, and determine the most appropriate priority strategies. This study uses a qualitative approach, with data analysis conducted using Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE), External Factor Evaluation (EFE), IE Matrix, SWOT, and Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). The results show that the Mekaar Program has fairly strong internal conditions (IFE = 2.76) and enormous external opportunities (EFE = 3.11), placing it in the Grow and Build position. The QSPM results indicate that the strategy of fulfilling and structuring the human resources of Account Officers is the priority strategy for developing the Mekaar Program in the Bengkulu Region.

Aggressive behavior among adolescents is a global psychosocial problem that continues to increase and poses serious implications for mental health, educational outcomes, and social stability. Previous studies have demonstrated that adolescent aggression is influenced by a complex interaction between internal and external factors; however, empirical findings remain fragmented and have not been systematically integrated. This study aims to identify the most salient internal factors and to analyze external factors that function as predictors of aggressive behavior in adolescents. This study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach guided by the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) framework. Literature searches were conducted in November 2025 across four major databases—Scopus, PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar—covering articles published between 2015 and 2025. Of the 2,637 articles initially identified, 27 empirical studies met the inclusion criteria and were included in the final analysis. The findings indicate that adolescent aggression is significantly associated with internal factors such as low self-control, poor emotion regulation, and low self-esteem, as well as external factors including maladaptive parenting practices, exposure to violence, peer influence, and digital media addiction. These results highlight the importance of integrative and context-sensitive intervention approaches in addressing aggressive behavior among adolescents.
