Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology has significantly influenced the financial sector, driving the digitalization of banking, especially post-COVID-19. This study analyzes banking efficiency in Indonesia, the United States (US), and China from 2019–2023 using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method. Results reveal that US banks maintain the highest and most stable efficiency (average 0.99), followed by China with a positive trend (average 0.98), and Indonesia with stable but slightly lower efficiency (average 0.97). Key findings highlight US efficiency stability, China’s upward trend, and Indonesia’s credit risk management challenges. Recommendations include enhancing risk management in Indonesia, sustaining efficiency in the US, and improving cost efficiency in China.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to understand the impact of digital campaign strategies on changing people's behaviour and actions towards environmental protection. This research method uses a qualitative study by looking at social media posts on @walhi.national. The findings show that Walhi has played an important role in promoting the environmental awareness movement in Indonesia. The dominant themes include the criminalisation of environmental activists, opposition to mining and land reclamation projects, and forest conservation. Through the use of hashtags, Walhi has been very effective in raising awareness of environmental issues. However, the extensive use of hashtags reduces the connectivity between content. The strategies used by Walhi, the use of relevant hashtags, strong narratives and collaboration between central and regional Walhi are considered capable of building an environmental movement. Strengthening the environmental movement and raising public awareness are Walhi's strategies for mobilising support.

The population of this study is generation Z men and women born in 1997-2012 who have made impulse purchases on the Shopee platform. The sample consists of generation Z of Shopee e-commerce users. The collected data will be analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach using the Smart PLS 3.0 SEM-PLS application. The results showed that hedonic shopping motivation, fear of missing out, shopping lifestyle and positive emotion as mediating factors had a significant and positive influence on impulse buying.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of post-positivism, critical theory, and constructivism paradigms in social research in the field of management. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with descriptive and analytical data analysis, through the elaboration of main ideas related to the topic discussed. The results of the study indicate that the three paradigms, namely post-positivism, critical theory, and constructivism, all strive to advance science, although with different approaches. However, in essence, the three paradigms complement each other in providing a deeper and contextual understanding of managerial practices, as well as opening up opportunities for a more inclusive, fair, and socially dynamic managerial approach in the organization. The application of these three paradigms also encourages changes in the way of viewing roles and power in the organization, which can lead to improvements in overall managerial practices.

Abstract

This study critically examines the relationship between capital structure, leverage, and initial public offerings (IPOs) on firm performance through a systematic literature review. Using Scopus-indexed articles and keyword combinations such as “capital structure,” “leverage,” and “initial public offering” 29 studies were identified and analyzed. The findings reveal that each factor plays a distinct role in influencing firm performance. While capital structure and leverage significantly affect long-term performance and financial stability, IPOs introduce unique dynamics in terms of market valuation and stakeholder expectations. This review highlights key gaps in existing research, including the need for more comprehensive methodologies to explore these interconnected factors. The study contributes an integrative perspective for future research and strategic decision-making in financial management.
