Abstract

This research is intended to provide an understanding of Islamic financial accounting standards. In carrying out its sharia principles, sharia banks must also uphold the values of justice, trust, partnership, transparency and mutual benefit for both the bank and for customers which are the pillars in carrying out muamalah activities . With the rapid growth rate of Islamic Financial Institutions in the world, an appropriate standard is needed in presenting financial reports to overcome differences in the preparation of each country. The role of AAOIFI in this regard has greatly contributed in terms of the formulation of standards, although in practice there are many obstacles to its application, moreover the standard that is widely used by countries is IFRS and it is not easy for countries to adopt AAOIFI standards in a short time . Most of the standards used by Islamic banking follow the AAOIFI standards adopted in the Sharia PSAK but in relation to IFRS standards are also applied as long as they do not conflict with sharia principles and values.

Abstract

The application to the Constitutional Court with the Constitutional Court decision number 77/PUU-XII/2014 was based on the dissinting opinion of Hakum Alecander Mawarta in the TPPU case of the Central Jakarta District Court with Case Number 10.Pid.Sus-TPK/2014/PN.JKT.PST. Based on this judicial review, the Constitutional Court stated that the existence of Article 69 in Law No. 8/2010, which states that law enforcement officials are allowed to investigate, investigate and examine ML/TF cases without proving the original crime, is questionable because it is not in accordance with the characteristics of ML/TF as a continuation of the original crime. Thus, there are juridical implications that will occur related to the prevention of ML, among others: potential acquittal of the defendant; violation of the principle of presumption of innocence, contrary to the concept of proof adopted in Indonesia and so forth. Of course, in this research, the author will reconstruct the placement of the Money Laundering Crime as Independent Crimes along with its legal implications in practice. This is because the placement of the Money Laundering Crime as Independent Crimes has given legal consequences to the legal system adopted in Indonesia, one of which is the Presumption of Innocence. This research is a descriptive analytical literature research using juridical-normative approach and qualitative deductive method. In doing so, it is concluded that the development of ML has experienced increasingly complex developments and legal breakthroughs that place ML as a stand-alone criminal offence.

Abstract

The development of technology in the military field has changed from time to time. This dynamic must be taken seriously because they are a challenge, and pose a potential threat to the sovereignty of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), As well as the trend of the technology-based warfare today. So it has become a necessity for the Indonesian National Army (TNI) to accept it. One of the popular technologies today, war robt technology(warbo), and including multimodal robots with a variety of basic missions. Furthermore, developing a multimodal robot concept design that can fulfil TNI surveillance needs. The methodology used is in the form of interview, observations, comparison, and literature studies by applying system engineering theory and life cycle models. This research has successfully formulated user requirement objectivies which are then elaborated into robot design concepts including characteristic design, and architecture design of multimodal monitoring robots. The hardware on the robot is design differently from others because it has the ability to fly and walk on the ground. The robot is also conceptualised to have advantages in terms of durability with agility, silence, and operate with various terrain conditions. Equipped with sensors to see, hear, measure ambient temperature, and read surrounding conditions using camera sensors, where the robot moves autonomously equipped with GPS and Lidar can send data in the form of audio visual directly to the Ground Control System (command centre). The concept design of the multimodal monitoring robot called Tsunhan-14 is expected to be the basis for determining technical requirement and further developed into a national innovation that is utilized as part of the TNI’s war strategy.

Abstract

The problem of finite mineral and coal natural resources has been reopened by the growing demand for development and mining resources, which impacts the global arena. Environmental issues are just one of the issues caused by mining activities, which are another. In mining sites, there has to be an ongoing planning process based on the environment. This study addresses the existing mining regulatory framework and the problem of harmonization between spatial plans for mining regions based on environmental sustainability, with a particular emphasis on spatial planning for mining sites in Indonesia. Under the provisions of spatial planning, this article outlines the fundamental concepts of strategic environmental sustainability as a roadmap for sustainable growth in the mining industry. This study concludes that the idea of creating a mining business permit area is predicted to function as a tool for prevention against the emergence of significant environmental pollution and damage due to mining activities with the existence of an integrated concept of environmental licensing and spatial planning. Because this authority can be determined based on the size of "geographical-ecological", "economical", or "administrative" conditions, recommendations made with the existence of legal criteria relating to the determination of mining areas to become the authority of the Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, Governors, and Regents/Mayors will result in the principle of environmental sustainability.

Abstract

Flood disasters are the third cause of economic loss of all natural disasters throughout the world. Jakarta, as a waterfront city, is often hit by floods every year, especially during the rainy season. This research is focused on identifying and analyzing community responses and their relationship with their knowledge, preparedness and level of action towards disasters. This research is an exploratory case study research based on primary and secondary data. Research findings show that people in coastal areas have a high level of knowledge about floods (64%). This knowledge is high relative to the sum of their past experiences; However, they are less prepared (43%) because most of the residents are fishermen with low incomes so they don't have to make much effort to adapt to flood-affected houses. On the other hand, people in the interior, they lack knowledge (18%), but they have a good level of preparedness (24%) because of their relatively high-income level. Furthermore, both communities in coastal and inland areas had a high level of action due to high levels of knowledge and experience for coastal residents and good preparedness for inland residents.

Abstract

Geological and hydrometeorological disasters are disasters that are often experienced by every region in Indonesia. Hydrometeorological disasters such as floods are influenced by strong westerly winds and world climate change. Apart from that, inappropriate land conversion is also one of the factors causing this disaster. One of the regions in Indonesia that is highly vulnerable to flood disasters is the city of Manado. Geographically, Manado City is surrounded by mountains and 5 large rivers that pass-through Manado City, namely the Tikala river and the Tondano river which merge in the Paal 2 area, the Malalayang river, the Sario River and the Bailang River. To overcome this disaster, it is necessary to carry out appropriate mitigation efforts to minimize the impact caused by the flood disaster in Manado City. The aim of this research is to analyze the risk level of flood disasters in Manado City and provide appropriate recommendations related to flood disaster mitigation in Manado City. This research uses analysis with quantitative descriptive research methods. The results of this research are that there are 3 classes of flood disaster risk levels in Manado City. In the high class there are 53 subdistricts, medium 2 subdistricts and low 32 subdistricts. Policy recommendations are made based on the level of risk by taking into account the main causal factors. Furthermore, it is recommended in every sub-district.

Abstract

This research explores the multifaceted concept of translanguaging in the context of teaching English as a foreign language in three universities in North Sumatra. Translanguaging, a term encompassing various aspects of multilingualism, is examined as a pedagogical approach that utilizes multiple languages within a classroom setting. The study investigates translanguaging practices among lecturers and aims to address three key research questions: the types of translanguaging practices, perceptions of lecturers and students, and the motivations behind incorporating translanguaging in teaching and learning activities. The research method is a qualitative method with a case study approach model focusing on the exploration of a "bounded system" on one specific case or on some cases in detail by exploring data in depth. Through a combination of surveys and interviews with lecturers, the study identifies eight motivations for the intentional use of translanguaging practices. These motivations include adjusting to students' proficiency levels, clarification, and emphasis, translanguaging as an academic strategy, providing challenges for student growth, considering diverse student demographics, expressing firmness and solidarity, addressing real lexical needs in communication, and expressing group identity. The findings reveal positive responses to translanguaging from both lecturers and students, highlighting its versatility in meeting educational objectives and fostering effective communication in diverse learning environments. The motivations align with existing literature, emphasizing the adaptability and significance of translanguaging in enriching the teaching and learning experience. The study concludes with several insights into translanguaging practices in North Sumatra's universities and recommends possibilities for future research and practical implementation. The proposed recommendations include professional development for lecturers, curriculum design, student training, and calls for more studies in tranlanguaging. Overall, this research contributes to the understanding of translanguaging motivations and offers practical suggestions for enhancing its integration in higher education institutions.
