Abstract

The mergence of COVID-19 in 2019–2022 has impacted social change in Indonesian society. The need to implement health protocols to prevent COVID-19 also has an impact on religious activities. For that reason, religious organisations such as Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and Muhammadiyah, which are agents of social change, play an active role in tackling this phenomenon. This research employs a qualitative, phenomenological approach. The Nahdlatul Ulama Branch Manager (PCNU) and the Muhammadiyah District Manager (PDM) of Balikpapan City, Paser District, and East Kutai District, along with religious figures, public figures, and communities in the three locations, serve as the primary data sources in this study. Gathering techniques through interviews. Data analysis techniques consist of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The research results revealed that the Nahdlatul Ulama Branch Manager (PCNU) and the Muhammadiyah District Manager (PDM) in the Eastern Kalimantan district continued to conduct limited face-to-face religious social activities while also increasing their use of Zoom and social media. In addition, the social programmes carried out by the PCNU and the PDM collaborated with the government and MUI, including vaccination programmes, socio-economic assistance, and the development of health protocols in even cross-religious communities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to see the effect of differences in welding swing on the tensile strength of 5 mm strip iron. The number of research samples was 6 pieces divided into two groups, the first group of 3 pieces welded with zig-zag welding swing, the second group of 3 pieces welded with spiral welding swing. The tensile test object used a tensile testing machine to determine the tensile stress value of the welding swing of each test object by slowly applying a load or force until the test object broke. This research method uses quantitative with a comparative experimental approach. The results of the welding tensile stress test of each test object sample welded with zig-zag and spiral welding swing joints showed that there was a similarity in the tensile test data, namely normal distribution, and similarity in variance. Hypothesis testing was obtained from the results of the tensile stress test of SMAW welding results with zig-zag and spiral welding swings showing a Tcount value of -8.021 (dk) = n1 + n2-2 at a significance level of 0.01 or 1%, a Ttable of 4.604 was obtained. So that the magnitude of the tensile stress of SMAW welding results with zig-zag and spiral welding swings has no significant influence.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the importance of teacher pedagogical competence on student learning discipline at SDN 008 Kemuning Muda, Bungaraya District, Siak Regency. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects of this research were class VI teachers, class I teachers, and the principal at SDN 008 Kemuning Muda. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The main instrument is the researcher using observation guide tools, interview guidelines, document sheets. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The data validity checking technique uses triangulation of techniques and sources. The research results show that the importance of pedagogical competence has a big impact on student learning discipline. The research results show that the pedagogical competence of class VI teachers and class I teachers at SD Negeri 08 Kemuning Muda is quite good but not optimal. This is because the teacher's pedagogical competence makes some students disciplined in learning, but the teacher has not optimally implemented learning according to the indicators of pedagogical competence. Of the seven indicators of pedagogical competence in this research, there are 2 indicators that teachers do not yet have optimally, such as indicators of mastery of learning theories and learning principles, and assessment and evaluation of learning.

Abstract

Phonological errors in pronunciation are common practices not only among beginners who just started to learn English but also among English major students who have been dealing with English study for many years. While speaking in English as a second language in formal situations, they often mispronounce words with similar spellings. This study investigated how the pronunciation of English learners was influenced by words with the same spelling. The participants were the Linguistics III students from the English Department of the Faculty of Education at Klabat University. They were required to pronounce a list of commonly mispronounced words. The results of this research showed that the students frequently mispronounced words with similar orthography. These phonological errors were prevalent among English learners, including those majoring in English.

Abstract

This research aimed at identifying errors in translating phrases from English into Indonesian of The Rich Young Man Story in Gospel Matthew 19:16-26 (KJ Version) to Indonesia Masa Kini Bible Version, and what factors caused these errors. The study utilized a descriptive method with a qualitative approach as described by Cresswell and Lodico. The results of the research showed that there were several translation phrases errors found in the Indonesia Masa Kini Bible Version that were caused by translators' tendency to use free translation system, resulting in addition, omission, or replacement of phrases, as well as inaccuracies in selecting appropriate equivalents, making the translation sound unnatural in the target language. These errors indicated there are some incompetence on the translator’s part, namely lack of understanding of translation theory, errors in applying omission and addition strategies, the inability to understand English phrases, inability to interpret the meaning and message of the source text, and lack of concentration and carefulness while translating.

Abstract

This writing discusses the interpretation of al-mawaddah from the perspective of the Qur'an. The aim of this research is to understand how al-mawaddah is interpreted from the perspective of the Qur'an. To obtain data, the author conducted data collection through a literature study to understand the concepts of interpreting the term from the perspective of the Qur'an. From the data analysis conducted, the author found that al-mawaddah can be interpreted as "love expressed through attitudes and behaviors similar to obedience as a result of admiration for someone." The interpretation of the word mawaddah is not only associated with the context of marriage. However, after further research, it was found that the word mawaddah also speaks in the context of peace or friendship and even war. From the analysis of the verse on al-mawaddah, we can draw several important conclusions: compassion as the foundation of relationships, emotional involvement in relationships, mutual understanding and self-respect, relationships that understand and respect each party's uniqueness have the potential to develop well, compassion as an expression of love, emphasis on "signs for those who reflect" indicates that loving human relationships are one of the manifestations of Allah's greatness, and humans are invited to reflect and appreciate this blessing. The verse on al-mawaddah teaches that relationships based on love, mutual understanding, and compassion are not only desirable but also a religious mandate. This serves as a guideline for building a society characterized by love and tolerance, creating a peaceful and blessed environment. With this article, the author hopes to present a comprehensive understanding of the meaning of al-mawaddah

Abstract

This study aims to determine the contribution of traditional games to improving the physical condition of students aged 10-12 years and to determine how much traditional games contribute to improving the physical condition of students aged 10-12 years. The research design is pre-test-post-test control group design. The research location is at SD Muhammadiyah 23 Surakarta, the research time was carried out in March 2024 to April 2024. The research subjects were 25 students in class V C as the experimental class and 26 students in class V A as the control class. The data collection technique used the Indonesian Student Fitness Test (TKSI). The collection method uses the test method. The analysis used is the independent sample t-test. The results of the statistical analysis of the independent sample t-test results obtained a calculated t value> t table (2.414 > 2.021) a significance value of 0.020 <0.05, it can be concluded that there is a contribution of traditional games to improving the physical condition of students aged 10-12 years. The average value in the experimental group TKSI through traditional games 17.84 > from the average of 16.65 in the control group without going through traditional games. The average value of the pre-test of the experimental class was 16.08 after receiving treatment through traditional games the average value of the post-test increased to 17.84. In the control group the average physical condition of the pre-test was 16.19 and the average value of the post-test was 16.65. Therefore, it can be concluded that traditional games (experimental class) are quite effective in improving the physical condition of students aged 10-12 years at SD Muhammadiyah 23 Surakarta.

Abstract

The aim of this learning is to see an increase in the learning outcomes of class V students at SDN Kandangan 1 Ngawi in science and technology subjects, Ecosystem component material using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. The subjects in this research were class V students at SDN Kandangan 1 Ngawi Regency with a total of 17 children. Data collection techniques in this research were observation, tests and documentation. The research data analysis technique uses quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of this research show a significant improvement from each cycle. In the pre-cycle or before using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model, it was discovered that only 23.52% of students or the equivalent of 4 children had achieved the science and science learning objectives on land ecosystem food chains. Furthermore, in cycle 1 there was a significant increase in learning outcomes as evidenced by the fact that 64.7% of students or the equivalent of 11 children had achieved the learning objectives. Continuing in the second cycle, learning outcomes also increased in the second cycle, amounting to 88.23% or the equivalent of 15 students having achieved this learning objective. The conclusion of this research is that there is an increase in student learning outcomes in science and science lessons on Ecosystem Components using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of Brand awareness and Brand Associations on Purchasing Decisions on OPPO Smartphones (Case Study of Oppo Plaza Millennium Medan Consumer Counters)". This research uses quantitative methods with non-probability sampling techniques. With a total sample of 108 people who are consumers from the Oppo Plaza Millennium Medan counter. The data collection technique in this research was carried out by distributing questionnaires whose measurements were on a Likert scale and processed statistically using multiple linear regression analysis and hypothesis testing with the t-test, F test, and coefficient of determination (R2), which were previously data. It has been tested using validity, reliability, and classic assumption tests—the data’s processing using the SPSS For Windows 25.0 program. Based on partial hypothesis testing, there is no influence or significance between Brand Awareness and Purchasing Decisions, with a value of count < Tabel, 1.221 < 1.982, and a sig. 0.225 > 0.05. Brand Association positively and significantly influences Purchasing Decisions, with a value of count> Tabel, 7.250 > 1.982, and a sig. 0.000 < 0.05. Furthermore, the research results show that the variables Brand Awareness and Brand Association simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions. This can be seen from the value of Fcount > FTabel, 49.443 > 2.30, and the sig level. 0.000 < 0.05. The coefficient of determination test shows a value of 0.549, which means that the influence of brand awareness and brand associations on purchasing decisions is 54.9%. In contrast, other variables outside this research influence the rest.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning model on PPKn learning outcomes in grade V students of Pangkabinanga Elementary School, Pallangga District, Gowa Regency. The type of research used in this study is experimental research, especially Pre-experimental. The sample in this study was 25 students. Data collection techniques were carried out using learning outcome tests and observation sheets. Data analysis techniques in this study were descriptive data analysis techniques and T-Test tests. The results of the study showed that PPKn learning outcomes before the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model in the pretest with an average value of 65.2. While in the posttest increased with an average value of 94.8. The results of the t-test analysis on the effect of the Problem Based Learning model on student learning outcomes showed that the significance value obtained was good, namely the effect of the Problem Based Learning model on PPKn learning outcomes (Sig = 0.01) was smaller than the specified alpha value of 0.05 (0.01 <0.05). Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted, which states that there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning model on the learning outcomes of PPKn students in grade V of Pangkabinanga Elementary School, Pallangga District, Gowa Regency.
