Abstract

This study aims to determine the effective archive maneuver strategy at Dispusdik Malang. The method in this study is field research with a qualitative approach. The data used in this study were obtained through direct observation, interviews with Dispusdik Malang employees involved in archive management, and literature studies on good archive management. Interviews were conducted with several officials who have responsibilities in the field of administration and archive management. In addition, this study also involved an analysis of the archiving system currently used by Dispusdik Malang, both in manual and digital forms. The results of the study indicate that effective archive management is highly dependent on the systematic application of four main stages, namely sorting, grouping, describing, and creating archive schemes. Overall, these four components are interrelated and support the creation of an efficient, transparent, and accountable archive management system. With proper implementation, organizations can improve the quality of information services, maintain data integrity, and support decision-making processes based on accurate and reliable data.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the strengthening of Islamic-based character education through a literature study approach, by tracing the relationship between Islamic values ​​and the Islamic psychology approach in shaping students' personalities. The method used is descriptive qualitative with content analysis techniques on scientific literature published in 2018–2025. The results of the study found ten main themes that underlie the formation of Islamic character, including the values ​​of monotheism, the morals of the Prophet Muhammad, purification of the soul (tazkiyatun nafs), habituation of worship, spiritual balance, and teacher role models. Character in Islam is seen as a manifestation of spiritual, moral, and emotional integrity, not just normative behavior. This study concludes that the success of character education is largely determined by the synergy between the roles of teachers, families, and curriculum that are integrated and relevant to the challenges of the digital era. Therefore, an adaptive education strategy is needed but still rooted in Islamic values, as well as training for teachers and parents as moral role models. This study confirms that the Islamic-based character education approach can be a conceptual solution in addressing the moral crisis among the younger generation.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of teachers’ expectations lead to improved performance on students’ motivation in learning English. Focusing on English major students at Universitas Klabat, the research employs a qualitative design utilizing thematic analysis of semi-structured interviews with four participants. The main question addressed in this study is: What are the students’ perspectives of teachers’ expectations on students’ motivation in learning English in terms of (a) Nature of Teacher Expectations, (b) Communication of Expectations, (c) Impact on Motivation, (d) Support Needed, and (e) Effect of Low Expectations? The study uses a qualitative approach, collecting data through semi-structured interviews with four students. Results show that when teachers set clear and realistic expectations, students tend to be more motivated, putting in extra effort and participating more actively in class. On the other hand, unclear or overly high expectations can lead to stress or a drop in motivation. Interestingly, one student remained driven by personal goals, regardless of teacher expectations, highlighting that not all students respond the same way. Overall, the study suggests that teacher expectations can be a powerful motivator when used effectively and supported with proper feedback and encouragement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of emotional intelligence on the communication ethics of Karang Taruna teenagers in the RT 005 Mustika Jaya Bekasi environment, with the background that emotional intelligence is a key factor in forming effective and ethical communication among teenagers. Emotional intelligence, which includes the ability to recognize, understand, and manage one's own and others' emotions, is believed to play an important role in encouraging ethical communication behavior, such as honesty, responsibility, and respect for others. Karang Taruna teenagers as an age group that is experiencing dynamic emotional and social development, often face challenges in maintaining communication ethics due to low emotional intelligence, which can trigger internal conflicts, misunderstandings, and decrease the quality of social interactions. Through a quantitative approach, this study examines the relationship between emotional intelligence and communication ethics, with the hope of providing both practical and academic contributions in efforts to strengthen the character of the younger generation who are able to communicate politely, ethically, and build positive social relations in society, especially in youth organizations such as Karang Taruna RT 005 Mustika Jaya Bekasi.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the TikTok Velocity trend on the changes in cultural communication among members of the Communication Science Student Association (HIMAKOM) at Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI) Kaliabang and Cut Mutia campuses. TikTok Velocity is a popular visual trend among students, characterized by fast-cut motion effects used to express personal identity through short videos. The research adopts a quantitative approach using a descriptive-correlational method. The sample consists of 33 respondents selected from a population of 48 active HIMAKOM members using simple random sampling. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires with a Likert scale and analyzed using validity and reliability tests, Pearson correlation, and t-test. The results show a significant influence between the TikTok Velocity trend and changes in cultural communication, with a correlation coefficient of 0.992 and a significance value of p < 0.001. Most respondents demonstrated high involvement in the velocity trend and acknowledged a shift in their communication style towards more visual, expressive, and symbolic forms. Theoretical frameworks used include the Diffusion of Innovations, Cultural Communication, Uses and Gratification, and New Media Theory. It can be concluded that the TikTok Velocity trend plays a role in shaping new ways for students to interact and convey cultural messages in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of digital innovation and Islamic financial technology (fintech, crowdfunding, and P2P lending) in supporting green banking practices at BSI Padang. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study to analyze the integration strategy of digital innovation and Islamic finance in environmentally friendly banking practices at BSI Padang. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews with internal and external parties of BSI, and documentation studies, with researchers present directly in the field. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model, with validity maintained through triangulation, member checks, audit trails, and peer debriefing to ensure that the findings reflect real conditions in the field. The results of the study show that BSI Padang has succeeded in integrating digital innovation and Islamic financial technology to support green banking practices. Innovations such as BSI Mobile, Islamic crowdfunding, and P2P lending are implemented strategically to improve service access, time efficiency, and reduce the use of physical documents. Acceptance of innovation is strengthened through education, training, and financial literacy campaigns. In addition, the commitment to sustainability is reflected in green MSME financing and CSR programs that focus on the environment.

Abstract

This study compares the concept of hikmah (wisdom) as interpreted in Tafsir Al-Azhar and Tafsir Al-Misbah using a comparative-descriptive approach. The research focuses on four Qur’anic verses: Al-Baqarah [2]:129, Al-Baqarah [2]:151, Ali ‘Imran [3]:164, and Al-Jumu‘ah [62]:2. It is a library-based study, with data gathered through a literature review. The findings show that both tafsirs agree on viewing hikmah as part of the prophetic educational mission. However, they differ in emphasis and interpretation: Tafsir Al-Azhar associates hikmah with moral guidance and spiritual wisdom, while Tafsir Al-Misbah presents hikmah as religious insight, legal wisdom, and practical benefit. This study contributes to the development of comparative Qur’anic interpretation, especially within the context of Indonesian Islamic scholarship

Abstract

Sighat taklik talak is one of the essential aspects of marriage that aims to provide protection for both husband and wife in anticipating potential violations of rights within the household. This study aims to explore the role of the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) of Medan Petisah, Medan City, in implementing sighat taklik talak as an instrument for household protection. This research employed a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and document studies. The findings indicate that KUA Medan Petisah plays a strategic role in educating and guiding prospective spouses on the importance of sighat taklik talak. This role is carried out through two main efforts: first, direct socialization with prospective couples regarding the meaning and urgency of sighat taklik talak as a form of legal and moral protection in marriage; and second, the organization of premarital courses that equip couples with in-depth understanding of the rights and responsibilities of husbands and wives, including the position of taklik talak in Islamic law and its role in preventing marital disharmony. Thus, this paper asserts that the existence and active role of KUA in implementing sighat taklik talak contributes significantly to strengthening family resilience in Medan City

Abstract

The Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) plays a crucial role in guiding prospective spouses to understand the legal, social, and psychological aspects of marriage. This study aims to analyze the role of the KUA in Medan Tembung in providing premarital guidance and consultation services. The research uses a qualitative approach with interview techniques, observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that KUA is not only an institution for marriage registration but also an entity that educates prospective spouses to build a harmonious family. The main challenge faced is the low awareness of the importance of premarital guidance. Therefore, innovative strategies are needed to increase community participation in marriage guidance programs.

Abstract

This study examines the practice of buying and selling goat sperm among breeders in Baosan Kidul Village, Ngrayun, Ponorogo. The transaction, which has become a local custom, involves natural insemination services with payments ranging from IDR 50,000 to 300,000 depending on the male goat used. Opinions differ: some justify it based on ‘urf (customary practice), while others raise concerns about gharar (uncertainty). Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings show that the payment is not for the sperm itself but as compensation for insemination services. From the perspective of Islamic law and ‘urf, this practice is permissible, as it causes no harm and aligns with local traditions and Islamic ethical principles
