Ilmu sosial tersebut adalah sosiologi, antropologi, psikologi, pendidikan, ekonomi, dan politik. Sedangkan ilmu humaniora meliputi bahasa, linguistik, sastra, pendidikan, sejarah, hukum, filsafat, arkeologi, seni, dan ilmu sosial yang memiliki muatan humanistik.

Abstract

This study analyzes the meaning of female power represented through the character of Jinda in the film The Empress of Ayodhaya using Roland Barthes' semiotic approach. This film was chosen because it significantly depicts the theme of female power through the construction of the main character, Jinda, who is portrayed as an active and strategic figure in facing the political conflicts of the Ayodhaya kingdom. Using a descriptive analytical qualitative research method, this study analyzes the symbolic, narrative, and visual elements in the film. Primary data was collected through observation of film scenes and in-depth interviews with informants knowledgeable about historical films and royal dramas. Secondary data included academic journals and relevant documents. Data analysis was conducted using Barthes' three levels of semiotics, namely denotation, connotation, and myth, with triangulation techniques to ensure data validity. The results show that at the denotative level, Jinda's strength is her courage and determination in facing difficulties after being forced to become queen. Connotatively, her strength is her ability to turn suffering into courage and build solidarity within the patriarchal system. And mythologically, Jinda symbolizes an eternal moral legacy and courage despite defeat. Overall, this film reveals that women's strength lies not only in their position or power, but also in their determination, sacrifice, and the legacy of courage created from suffering.

Abstract

Rapid development in the digital era has brought about a major transformation in the mass media industry, including radio media. Mass media plays an important role as the main source of information for modern society and continues to innovate to remain relevant amidst increasingly tight industry competition. Radio, as one of the oldest electronic media, continues to exist by making various adaptations, both in content and broadcasting technology. In the radio broadcasting process, producers have a strategic role as gatekeepers who are responsible for filtering and determining broadcast content that is worthy of being conveyed to the public. This study aims to analyze the role of producers as gatekeepers in the selection of broadcast content on Radio OZ, a private radio station known for its creative programs and clear audience segmentation. The study uses a case study approach to gain an in-depth understanding of the content selection mechanism, the standards used, and the dynamics of decision-making behind the scenes. The results of this study are expected to contribute to media communication studies, especially in understanding gatekeeping practices in the radio broadcasting industry, and can be a reference for media actors in improving the quality and professionalism of broadcasts.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the interactive communication strategy implemented by Suplier Merpati Indah through the Instagram platform in fostering a positive customer image towards its Roda Pagar products. The background of this study is driven by the development of social media as a strategic tool for building emotional relationships and customer loyalty. This study employs a qualitative research method, utilizing in- depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation as data collection techniques. The results indicate that Merpati Indah consistently applies communication strategies focusing on strong visual branding, active two-way interactions, and the presentation of educational and narrative content through storytelling. Instagram features such as posts, stories, and direct messages are optimally utilized to build engagement and customer trust. Visual consistency in the feed, prompt responses to inquiries, and a human-centered approach in digital interactions are key factors in creating positive perceptions and customer loyalty. The study concludes that interactive communication strategies through Instagram, when strategically designed, play a crucial role not only in increasing brand awareness but also in shaping a positive brand image and strengthening emotional bonds with customers. These findings are expected to serve as a practical reference for business practitioners in developing effective digital communication strategies in the era of social media.

Abstract

Interpersonal communication plays a vital role in determining the success of managed service delivery, particularly in information technology-based companies. This study investigates how the interpersonal communication practices of Infrastructure Support at PT Profescipta WahanaTehnik influence client satisfaction across various service touchpoints. Employing a quantitative descriptive approach, the research was conducted through a survey using a structured questionnaire distributed to 54 employees across five active client organizations of the company. The collected data were analyzed using several statistical tests, including validity and reliability tests, simple linear regression analysis, t-test (partial), and coefficient of determination (R²). The findings demonstrate that interpersonal communication has a positive and significant effect on client satisfaction, as reflected in a t-value of 10.278 > t-table value of 2.007 and a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. Furthermore, the R² value of 0.670 indicates that interpersonal communication contributes 67% to the variation in client satisfaction. These results affirm that well-established interpersonal communication by Infrastructure Support personnel significantly enhances client satisfaction with the managed services provided by PT Profescipta WahanaTehnik.

Abstract

The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency is one of the Non-Departmental Government Institutions (LPND). BMKG has offices spread throughout Indonesia, and is centered in Kemayoran, Jakarta. This study aims to describe the public relations campaign strategy implemented by BMKG Public Relations in providing hydrometeorological early warnings to the public through Instagram media @PPID_BMKG. This study uses a qualitative research method. Data collection techniques are carried out by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that BMKG's public relations campaign strategy is based on the approach proposed by Cutlip, Center, & Broom. This campaign strategy is carried out through several stages including systematic content planning, using easy-to-understand visual language, and measuring effectiveness using social media insight analysis and making monthly reports every three months. This study emphasizes the importance of cooperation between BMKG and social media to increase public awareness and preparedness in facing hydrometeorological disasters.

Abstract

Human resources are a crucial factor in determining the success or failure of an organization. Organizations continually strive to acquire resources that can ease the burden of achieving their goals. This study employed a quantitative, descriptive design, collecting primary data by distributing questionnaires to respondents, namely employees at PT. Sarana OTW Indonesia, using a sampling method. The results of the study include work discipline as an independent variable X1 having a significant influence on employee performance with a calculated t value> t table of 5.715> 2.008 with a significance of 0.000 <0.05. In addition, variable X2, namely Communication, has a significant influence on employee performance with a calculated t value> t table of 3.493> 2.008 with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. Then, together, work discipline and communication have an effect on employee performance with a calculated F value> F Table of 38.928> 1.659 with a significance of 0.000 <0.05. The conclusion of this study is that work discipline and communication influence employee performance at PT. Sarana OTW Indonesia. The R value of 0.747 or 74.7% means the relationship between work discipline and communication on employee performance. The R Square value of 0.694 or 69.4% of work discipline and communication is able to influence employee performance, while the remaining 30.6% is influenced by other variables.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has encouraged government institutions to utilize social media as an effective public communication tool. This study aims to analyze the role of public relations communication patterns in building the image of the National Legal Development Agency (BPHN) through the Instagram platform. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation of the official Instagram account of BPHN (@bphn.kemenkum) and relevant informants. The findings reveal that BPHN’s public relations apply an active, responsive, and participatory two-way communication pattern in managing content and public interaction. Features such as comments, direct messages, and interactive stories facilitate reciprocal communication that strengthens public engagement. Feedback evaluation is also conducted regularly as a basis for improving communication strategies. The study concludes that the communication pattern implemented by BPHN’s public relations significantly contributes to shaping an informative, transparent, and professional institutional image in the eyes of the public.

Abstract

Social institutions are places for the elderly to live their old age together, but it is not uncommon for conflicts to arise between residents. This conflict is triggered by mutual mockery, arrogance, stinginess, self-centeredness, suspicion, divide and conquer, and jealousy over uneven provision. This study aims to examine the implementation of religious guidance in overcoming elderly interpersonal conflicts at the Tresna Werdha Khusnul Khotimah Social Service Unit of the Riau Province Social Service. Using a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, data is collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that religious guidance was carried out through three stages: (1) planning, which includes the preparation of schedules, materials, and methods; (2) implementation of guidance activities according to plan; and (3) evaluation, which aims to assess and improve the quality of implementation. However, this evaluation stage has not run optimally.

Abstract

A translator should be able to convey the intended meaning contained in the source language into the target one. The results of the initial observation depicted that some students in the translation class tended to translate without reading the whole text that might lead to misunderstanding of source text. This study aimed at analysing the problems faced by the student translators in translating the good Samaritan’s story from English language into Bahasa Indonesia. This study used a descriptive method. The participants were the 4th Year English Department students who took the course of Linguistic 3 as their major course. The data were taken from the Christian Biblical story in Luke 10:25-37. The data were analysed using a translation procedure. The results indicated that there are ten of problem found in the students’ translation, which are the improper use of generalization technique, improper of borrowing technique, missing the target language structure, meaning deletion, improper use of literal technique, context misunderstanding, target language interference, meaning addition, inability to find right equivalent, and source text misunderstanding.

Abstract

The Qur'an is a holy book that is believed to be true by Muslims, and guaranteed its purity and authenticity by Allah SWT. Therefore, there is no doubt as to its contents. The first step in such an introduction is the ability to read it well. Referring to the first revelation revealed to the Prophet Muhammad SAW, it is implied that the command to read contains the meaning that through reading activities, humans can obtain knowledge and are encouraged to continue to seek and explore knowledge, especially from the Qur'an. This study aims to examine the strategies of Qur'an literacy teachers (BTQ) at MI Mamba'ul Hikmah in improving the Qur'an reading ability of grade 2 students. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data sources obtained from interviews, observations and documentation activities and then supported by several literacy related to the research theme. The results of the study show that the strategies applied by BTQ teachers are in 3 ways, namely the application of the lecture method, the practice method and the question and answer method, of the three strategies are then implemented in 2 ways, namely by grouping students based on the ability to read the Qur'an and also by habitual activities of reading the Qur'an in congregation. The supporting factors for BTQ teachers include the existence of guidebooks and also parental support. The inhibiting factors are the limited teaching time and also the lack of facilities and infrastructure to support learning.
