Abstract

Abstact The purpose of this studi is to describe reasoning in the expositive writings of students of class X SMK Negeri 5 Kabupaten Tebo based on the types of reasoning, namely: (1) inductive reasoning and (2) deductive reasoning. This research uses quantitative descriptive method. The population of this study are the students of class X SMK Negeri 5 Kabupaten Tebo consisting of 4 classes with 104 students. The sampling technique was randomized using a random proportional sampling method. The sample used is 25% of 104 students is 26 students. The results show that reasoning in expositive writing is considered good quality criterion. This is evident from both reasoning elements: (1) the reasoning of induction includes: (1) generalized induced reasoning in expository paragraphs, (2) reasoning of inductions by analogy in expository paragraph, (3) (2) deductive reasoning in the expository paragraph, and (2) the deductive reasoning in entiphat in the expository paragraph turns out the student's average score of 80.48%. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of the scientific approach in planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning to write the text of student procedures in class VII CI SMP Negeri 1 Kota Jambi. This research method using qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected by using documentation method, observation, and interview. The data of this research is the lesson planning in the form of RPP, the process of writing text writing procedure in class VII CI SMP Negeri 1 Kota Jambi, transcript of interview with teacher of teaching field and documentation of learning process happened. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to Research and Development research or research and development. This research produces an assessment instrument based on authentic assessment characteristics as an evaluation tool on exposition text material in grade X SMA N 1 Kota Jambi. Through this research, it is expected that the assessment instrument based on authentic assessment characteristic used as an evaluation tool on exposition text material in grade X SMA N 1 Kota Jambi becomes more qualified and effective in order to achieve the objectives of the learning itself. From the results of the current study, the assessment instrument used by teachers in Class X SMA N 1 Kota Jambi is in the category of eligibility and suitability of 60.00% (quite appropriate). Therefore, the analysis of the shortage of instruments to be further developed. The development of the instrument is carried out to improve the quality and effectiveness expected to increase the chances of achieving the maximum learning objectives. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to describe the form, meaning, and use of ancient Malay language in the area of ​​Seberang Jambi with descriptive reviews. The scope of this study discusses the form, meaning, and use of Malay archipelago language Jambi. The location of this research is across Seberang Jambi city. The data in this research is native speakers of Malay Seberang Jambi city. Data analysis techniques in this study using extralingual and intalingual methods. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to describe how the ability of students in writing short stories based on the experience of students of class IX A SMP Negeri 17 City of Jambi Academic Year 2016/2017. From the results of data processing is known short story writing based on the experience of students of class IX A SMP Negeri 17 17 City of Jambi berkriteria quite capable (CM). This is proven by obtaining the average value of the appraiser 1 and appraisal 2 of 63.2 value is seen from the table of percentage calculation is at intervals of 56-74 with adequate criteria (CM). In detail the value is obtained from the elements of the formation of short stories, the theme selection with an average value of 62.7 with enough criteria (CM), the mandate to obtain an average value of 49.3 criteria less able (KM), plot description / plot obtained an average score of 80 capable criterion (M), the figures scored average of 60.7 with sufficient criteria (CM), background description earned an average of 86.3 highly qualified (SM) scores, the average score of 46 criteria for underprivileged (KM), and the drawing for the point of view obtained an average rating of 57.3 with sufficient criteria (CM). Abstract

ABSTRACT The acquisition of language can not be realized this happens naturally that takes place in a child's brain. Processes when the child is acquiring a language consists of two aspects: the first aspect of performance that consists of aspects of understanding and delivery. Both aspects of competence (linguistic ability). The linguistic ability of the child consists of three components, namely: phonological ability, semantics and sentences. The acquisition of this language is also commonly divided into the acquisition of syntax and semantic acquisition. Semantic acquisition is the acquisition of lexicon or vocabulary. This study aims to analyze the acquisition of language on the semantic level where the child's residence is multilingual, in children aged 2-5 years in kos-kosan western region west, klojen district, Malang, East Java. To obtain accurate results, the need for accurate research methods as well. This study uses a qualitative method. The data in this research were collected using observation method with recording technique and recorded then analyzed by collecting data through observation and recording of conversation conducted by children of Java 2-5 years into field note then describing data result and concluding data analysis result. Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa eksistensi dari nilai pendidikan karakter pada buku teks yang digunakan pada mata kuliah Reading di STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dimana data pada penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan wawancara. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah dosen yang telah dan mengajar pada mata kuliah Reading dan mahasiswa yang telah mengikuti mata kuliah tersebut. Objek dari penelitian ini adalah buku teks yang digunakan pada mata kuliah Reading di STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. Berdasarkan hasil interview diketahui bahwa buku teks yang digunakan tersebut belum mengandung nilai pendidikan karakter yang harus dipelajari dan dibutuhkan oleh mahasiswa. Buku teks tersebut hanya mengandung sembilan nilai pendidikan karakter dari 18 nilai yang terdapat pada Permendikbud tersebut. Nilai karakter yang terdapat dalam buku teks Reading adalah religius, jujur, kreatif, mandiri, kerja keras, rasa ingin tahu, gemar membaca, peduli sosial dan tanggung jawab. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa buku reading yang telah digunakan di jurusan bahasa Inggris di Sumatera Barat belum sepenuhnya mengandung nilai pendidikan karakter. Kata kunci: Pendidikan karakter, buku teks reading, analisa kebutuhan Abstract The aim of this research is to analyze the existence of character education which is included in the textbook used in Reading subject at STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. This research is qualitative research which the data were collected through interview. Subject of this research is the lecturers who have taught Reading subject and the students who have complied that subject. The object of this research is the textbook used in Reading subject at STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. Based on interview results, it is known that the textbook used in Reading subject does not have character education contents which is needed and learnt by the college students. The textbook used only have nine out of eighteen characters mentioned in Permendikbud No49Tahun2014. They are, religius, honest, creative, independent, hardwork, curiosity, fond of reading, social care and responsible. It can be concluded that the reading textbook used at English Department of STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat has not indicated the use of characters educational values yet. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan menyusun bahan ajar mata kuliah drama dengan pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Hal ini dalandasi oleh perubahan kurikulum yang belum diiringi dengan tersedianya sumber belajar yang memadai dan berbagai hal lain. Untuk menggali masalah yang dialami mahasiswa, digunakan angket terbuka. Dari hasil angket ini disusun draft bahan ajar. Hasilnya, mereka membutuhkan materi yang berkaitan dengan tata rias, tata lampu, tata busana, dan tata panggung. Materi yang memungkinkan dikembangkan adalah tata rias dan tata busana. Alasannya, kedua materi ini berkaitan dengan penampilan seorang tokoh drama pertunjukan. Pengembangan bahan ajar dimulai dengan tahap analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, pengembangan, evaluasi, dan revisi. Untuk menguji pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap bahan ajar yang telah disusun, dilakukan uji coba atau praktek mengaplikasikan materi tata rias dan tata busana. Uji coba ini memperlihatkan hasil bahwa mahasiswa memahami dengan baik bahan ajar yang telah disusun. Bahan ajar ini divalidasi oleh dua orang. Satu orang validator adalah yang dipandang ahli dalam penelitian pengembangan dan satu orang lagi dipandang ahli dalam bidang drama. Hasilnya, bahan ajar ini layak dipakai dengan hasil secara umum sudah bagus. Sarannya, penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan membuat video pembelajaran untuk materi yang dikembangkan ini. Kata kunci: bahan ajar, drama, pendekatan berbasis masalah Abstract This research aims to develop and compile teaching materials for Drama subjects at Department of Indonesian Language and Arts Education by using Problem-Based Learning Approach. Shifts in curriculum have not been followed by availability of adequate learning resources. This research used questionaire to explore possible problems experienced by the students in Drama course. This questionaire informed the drafting of teaching materials. Findings of this research showed that students need materials related to makeup, lighting, costume design, and the stage. Materials that were selected to develop were makeup and costume design. These topics are important for preparing students’ Drama performance. The development of teaching materials comprised some stages i.e. requirements analysis, design, development, evaluation, and revision. In order to measure students’ understanding of the materials developed, students were tested on their ability to apply make-up and costum design. The teaching materials were validated by an expert in research and development and an expert in Drama. They confirmed that the teaching materials developed by the researchers are good and fit for use. This research recommends that the next research will focus on developing video from the materials. Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan wujud kritik sosial yang terdapat dalam stand up comedy studi kasus comic Abdurrahum Arsyad dan mendeskripsikan penyimpangan prinsip kerja sama yang terdapat dalam stand up comedy studi kasus comic Abdurrahum Arsyad. Metode analisis menggunakan perspektif pragmatik. Berdasakan hasil analisis mengenai wujud penyimpangan prinsip kerja sama dan kritik sosial yang terdapat dalam stand up comedy yang disampaikan oleh Abdurrahum Arsyad maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) wujud penyimpangan prinsip kerja sama yang terdapat dalam stand up comedy Indonesia season 4 oleh comic Abdurrahum Arsyad terdiri dari penyimpangan maksim kuantitas, maksim kualitas, maksim relevansi dan maksim pelaksanaan. (2) Stand up comedy merupakan salah satu jenis humor yang berkembang di masyarakat yang diungkapkan dengan melanggar maksim kuantitas, kualitas, relevansi, dan pelaksanaan dapat digunakan sebagai sarana untuk menyampaikan kritik sosial karena dapat diungkapkan dengan bahasa yang harmonis dan mempunyai kesan santai serta menggelitik. Kata kunci : kritik sosial, stand up comedy, pragmatik Abstract This study aimed to describe the form of social criticism contained in the stand-up comedy comic case study Abdurrahum Arsyad and describes the deviation of the principle of cooperation contained in stand up comedy comic case study Abdurrahum Arsyad. The analytical method used a pragmatic perspective. Based on the analysis of the existence of deviations from the principles of cooperation and social criticism contained in the stand up comedy presented by Abdurrahum Arsyad, it can be concluded that: (1) a deviation of the cooperation principle contained in the stand up comedy Indonesia season 4 by comic Abdurrahum Arsyad from maximal deviations of quantity, maxim of quality, maxim of relevance and maxim of implementation. (2) Stand up comedy is one type of humor that develops in a society expressed by violating the maxim of quantity, quality, relevance, and execution can be used as a means of conveying social criticism because it can be expressed in harmonious language and has a relaxed and intriguing impression.
