Abstract

Soap bar is a cleansing preparation created by the saponification reaction. The qualities of soap bars vary depending on the oil composition. Furthermore, additional materials, such as essential oils, could be added to boost the product's value and benefits. The aim of this study is to generate good-quality soap bars using Illicium verum as active ingredients and varying oil concentrations applying the cold process method. The developed soap bar was then examined for its organoleptic properties, pH, moisture content, foam stability, and free fatty acid. On the 7th day, F1, F2, and F3 had pH values of 10.36 ± 0.012, 10.30 ± 0.038, and 10.15 ± 0.095, moisture content (%) of 5.21 ± 0.16, 4.76 ± 0.40, and 7.80 ± 0.58, foam stability (%) of 89.4 ± 0.06, 72.9 ± 0.07, and 74.8 ± 0.10, and free fatty acid (%) of 0.342 ± 0.024, 0.301 ± 0.024, and 0.328 ± 0, respectively. On the 14th day, F1, F2, and F3 had pH values of 10.09 ± 0.121, 10.29 ± 0.015, and 10.18 ± 0.067, moisture content of 4.55 ± 0.46, 3.49 ± 0.29, and 6.67 ± 0.29, foam stability of 91.3 ± 0.02, 91.7 ± 0.05, and 86.2 ± 0.04, and free fatty acid of 0.478 ± 0.063, 0.586 ± 0.046, and 0.560 ± 0.024, respectively. Both the results from the 7th and 14th days comply with the specifications. The variation in oil concentration influences soap bar qualities such as organoleptic, moisture content, and pH.Keywords : Soapbar, Illicium verum, Coconut oil, Palm oil, Olive oil

Abstract

Penyempurnaan tekstil menggunakan senyawa resin merupakan salah satu usaha untuk memperbaiki sifat serat yang kurang dikehendaki. Penyempurnaan resin ini termasuk penyempurnaan kain secara kimiawi karena menggunakan zat kimia seperti resin sintetik. Bahan ini dapat digunakan secara eksternal dan internal, pada penggunaan eksternal senyawa resin hanya menempel atau terserap pada permukaan bahan saja. Hasil dan pembahasan pengamatan ini terdiri dari dua jenis variabel: variabel dependen dan independen. Dalam pengamatan ini, variabel dependen adalah mesin finishing stenter, sedangkan variabel independen adalah variasi resin terhadap kain polyester. Pada tulisan ini, disajikan data pengamatan yang diperoleh dari hasil variasi resin 60 gram/liter, 80 gram/liter dan 100 gram/liter. Analisis yang akan dilakukan adalah untuk memberikan gambaran seberapa jauh pengamatan mengenai pengaruh konsentrasi variasi resin pada proses finishing dengan mesin stenter terhadap hasil gramasi kain, hasil pengujian ketebalan kain dan efek handfeel yang ditimbulkan.

Abstract

Aluminium powder merupakan bahan penting dalam berbagai industri seperti cat, kosmetik, peledak, pengelasan. Sayangnya kebutuhan bahan ini di Indonesia masih bergantung pada impor, yang menyebabkan harga tinggi dan ketersediaan yang terbatas. Tujun dari rancangan dan pembuatan mesin Mini Ball Mill sebagai solusi produksi alumunium powder secara mandiri di tingkat UMKM. Dengan desain sederhana dan efisien alat ini mampu menggiling serpihan alumunium foil menjadi serbuk halus yang siap digunakan. Abstract

This research discusses the simulation and comparison of OSPF and EIGRP performance on hybrid topology (star and mesh) in Cisco Packet Tracer. The main objective of this research is to compare delivery time and routing efficiency on the performance of OSPF and EIGRP routing protocols on hybrid network topologies (star and mesh) using Cisco Packet Tracer. The research was conducted by dividing the IP address on each network and simulating data transmission with sizes of 400 bits, 800 bits, and 1200 bits. The results of this study show the comparison of the difference in delivery time between OSPF and EIGRP protocols is 0.0026 seconds with a packet size of 400 bits, 0.003 seconds with a packet size of 800 bits and 0.00317 seconds with a packet size of 1200 bits with EIGRP is superior to OSPF with a ratio of 3:0. With these results, EIGRP performance is slightly better than OSPF performance in terms of delivery time.

Abstract

One of the manufacturers of in vitro medical diagnostic equipment, PT.X, faces challenges with the production efficiency of a chemical clinic reagent called cholesterol FS. High demand led to continuous machine operation, which resulted in machine problems, particularly during the bottle closure process, which reduced production effectiveness. This experiment aim to analyze the production effectivity using Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method. Three parameters are used in OEE measurement: Availability, Performance, and Quality. The data acquired through direct observation during the filling of a batch of cholesterol FS reagent, including production volume, downtime, rejected product, etc. The investigation resulted the values of Availability is 85.50%, Performance is 59.66% and Quality is 99.81%. According to the finding, the OEE of filling machine from Cholesterol FS reagent is 48.85%. Therefore, more optimization is required to reduce downtime and boost machine performance in order to raise availability and performance in accordance with the World-Class OEE standard

Abstract

Kesehatan ialah kondisi sehat seseorang baik secara fisik, mental, maupun sosial, yang tidak hanya terbebas dari penyakit untuk memungkinkannya hidup produktif. Salah satu cara masyarakat menjaga kesehatan adalah melalui swamedikasi, yaitu tindakan mengobati diri sendiri. Swamedikasi umumnya dilakukan untuk mengatasi keluhan atau penyakit ringan seperti demam, nyeri, pusing, batuk, influenza, sakit maag, cacingan, diare, serta penyakit kulit lainnya. Swamedikasi harus dilakukan dengan cara yang sesuai untuk penyakit yang dialami. Pelaksanaannya harus memenuhi kriteria penggunaan obat yang rasional, antara lain ketepatan pemilihan obat, ketepatan dosis obat, tidak adanya efek samping, tidak adanya kontraindikasi, tidak adanya interaksi obat, dan tidak adanya polifarmasi. Dalam praktiknya penggunaan obat dan dosis obat, apabila kesalahan terjadi terus-menerus dalam waktu yang lama, dikhawatirkan dapat menimbulkan risiko pada kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan dan perilaku masyarakat tentang swamedikasi di RT 01 RW 02 Desa Taman Rahayu kecamatan Setu kabupaten Bekasi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode pendekatan cross sectional, menggunakan alat ukur kuisoner. Pengambilan sampel yang dilakukan dengan metode metode purposive sampling yang telah memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan ekslusi sebanyak 85 responden. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan jumlah responden yang memiliki tingkat pengetahuan baik,cukup,rendah dengan masing-masing persentase 80%, 13%, dan 7%. Hasil pengukuran perilaku swamedikasi menunjukkan bahwa responden yang memiliki tingkat perilaku tepat,kurang,tidak tepat dengan masing-masing persentase 84%, 16%, dan 0%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa gambaran tingkat pengetahuan dan perilaku masyarakat tentang swamedikasi di RT 01 RW 02 Desa Taman Rahayu kecamatan Setu kabupaten Bekasi sudah baik 80% dan tepat 84%.

Abstract

The Global Positioning System (GPS) relies on highly precise atomic clocks in satellites and ground stations to determine global time and position accurately. Relativistic effects, including gravitational fields and satellite orbital motion, induce frequency shifts in these clocks, necessitating corrections for accurate navigation. This study developed a novel approach to integrate general coordinates into GPS, emphasizing implementation simplicity. We investigated the application of special relativity to calculate time and frequency shifts in GPS satellites. Our analysis estimated a daily relativistic correction of approximately 21.6 microseconds, with a positional imprecision of 6.48 km per day if uncorrected. By employing a general time-space coordinate system, we calculated position-4 and velocity-4 vectors, accounting for special relativistic effects on GPS time and frequency. The proposed method simplifies relativistic corrections while enhancing their conceptual clarity. Results demonstrate improved precision and efficiency in GPS positioning through the integration of general coordinates with a streamlined approach. This research offers valuable insights for international engineering communities, scholars, and practitioners, advancing the understanding of relativity’s impact on GPS satellite operations.

Abstract

Cosmetics are broadly categorized into skincare and decorative products, the latter providing short-term aesthetic effects on the skin. One such product is blush-on powder, which is characterized by its fine texture, ease of application, and adjustable color intensity. In decorative cosmetics, dyes play a crucial role. Anthocyanins, natural pigments found abundantly in plants such as butterfly pea flower (Clitoria ternatea), offer potential as a natural dye due to their vivid red to deep purple color and high anthocyanin content (172.833 mg/100g). These pigments exhibit greater stability in acidic conditions, which can be enhanced by adding organic acids. This study aims to formulate a blush-on powder using butterfly pea flower extract as a natural dye and to evaluate the effect of varying concentrations of zinc stearate (3%, 5%, and 7%) on the product’s physical properties. The extract was obtained via maceration using a 96% ethanol and 10% citric acid solution (1:9 ratio). The resulting blush-on formulations underwent physical evaluations—including organoleptic tests, pH, texture, homogeneity, adhesion, and flowability—on days 0, 1, 7, and 14. All formulas met the requirements for pH, homogeneity, appearance, and adhesion stability over 14 days. However, the flowability results did not meet standard criteria. Among the three formulas, the one with 7% zinc stearate showed the highest adhesion. In conclusion, butterfly pea flower extract is suitable as a natural dye in blush-on powder formulations, and increasing zinc stearate concentration enhances product adhesion to the skin

Abstract

ABSTRACTGrapthophylum pictum L. Griff or Handeuleum Leaf is a plant that is widely cultivated in Indonesia for its leaves. The flavonoid, phenolic, steroid and terpenoid compounds contained in the ethanol extract of Handeuleum Leaf has antimicrobial activity. The aim of this study was to determine the results of phytochemical screening and their antimicrobial activity. The Handeuleum leaf extraction process is carried out using the maceration method, then identifying the compounds using the TLC method. The TLC results showed that there were active compounds in Grapthophylum pictum L. Griff in the form of flavonoids, phenols, steroids and terpenoids. Testing antimicrobial activity using the TLC-Bioautography method against Bacillus subtilis bacteria at a concentration of 30% found all compounds. And the bacteria Lactobacilus rhamnnosus at a concentration of 30% in compounds 1, 2, 6, 7, and 8 showed antibacterial activity, while compounds 3, 4, and 5 did not show antibacterial activity. Meanwhile, against the fungus Malassezia globosa at a concentration of 30%, compounds 1, 2 and 3 showed antifungal activity and compounds 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 did not show antifungal activity.

Abstract

This study optimizes the construction product distribution network in the Jakarta area using a Transportation System Design approach and Linear Programming (MILP and VRP) implemented in Python programming. The primary goal is to minimize total travel distance, delivery time, and transportation costs without violating vehicle capacity constraints, customer demand, and operational time windows. Optimization results show a 30% reduction in total travel distance from 5,830 km to 4,061 km and transportation cost savings of up to 8.1% or approximately IDR 23 million per month. The computation process is efficient, completing in under 30 seconds, enhancing accuracy and reducing human error. This optimization supports on-time delivery, maintains product quality, improves customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency, including reduced fuel consumption and carbon emissions. Practical recommendations include setting a Minimum Order Quantity (MoQ), using larger capacity trucks, and improving real-time communication and vehicle tracking to support more effective distribution management in the construction industry
