Abstract

Anadara granosa is one of the fisheries commodities that is abundant in various regions, especially tropical areas. The high use of blood cockles by the community in Motadikin waters is considered to result in a decline in the population of blood cockles in nature, thereby increasing population growth. This research aims to examine the abundance and morphometric features of blood cockles in Motadikin waters, Malaka Regency. This research was carried out for 1 month in Motadikin waters, Malacca Regency using the transect method. The number of transects used was 3, the distance between transects was 25 m and each transect used 6 quadrants with a size of 1x1 m and the distance between each quadrant was 5 m. The results of the research showed that the abundance of blood clams in Motadikin Waters was an average of 5-7 individuals/m2 and the average The average abundance found on substrates covered with mangroves (I) is higher than on sandy substrates alone (II). Meanwhile, morphometric measurements of blood clams in Motadikin waters are dominated by blood clams with a length range of 3.2 cm - 3.9 cm, with a shell height of 1.4 cm - 2.7 cm, an umbo height of 1.1 cm - 1.2 cm, shell thickness 2.4 cm - 2.6 cm and ligament length 2.4 cm - 2.7 cm. Keywords: Anadara granosa, abundance, morphometrics, motadikin waters.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of extracts from frangipani flowers under anesthesia during dry transportation on the growth of milkfish and their survival. In the research, fish measuring 4-6 cm and weighing 4-5g were used. The test fish were fasted for 3 days to reduce metabolic activity before being transported. Before packing, a treatment solution is made according to the concentration, namely 4 mg/L, 6 mg/L, and 8 mg/L. Test fish that are placed in the treatment solution are observed for the time required during the fermentation process. Fish that have been knocked out are placed in a transportation container in the form of low-temperature sawdust and lined with gauze and ice. The test fish were then transported for 12 hours and the fish were placed back in a container containing clean aura. The number of fish that died for each treatment was recorded. The method used was a completely randomized design (CRD), where there were 3 treatments with repetition 3 times. The variables measured were the duration of the stunning process, sedative time and survival time. The research results showed that the higher the concentration of dried Plumeria acuminata extract, the higher the sedative time but the lower the stunning time. Apart from that, the results of this research also show that the higher the concentration of Plumeria acuminata extract is followed by the higher the survival rate. Abstract

The cultivation of pearl lobster (Panulirus ornatus) needs to be observed growth rate and survival which can indicate a success rate during rearing. This can be used by the surrounding community as an effort to support the community's economy. To find out the picture of the growth rate, weight, and survival of pearl lobsters cultivated in Thousand Mouth. Observed parameters growth rate, weight and survival of pearl lobster. Observation parameter data in the form of growth, survival and water quality. The data obtained in the form of growth with the results of Baby lobster showed K1 0.072 gs, K2 0.063 gs, K3 0.055 gs, K4 0.057 g and K5 0.074. While the daily growth rate for lobster enlargement is K1 1.356 gs, K2 1.289 g, K3 1.422 g, K4 1.4 g and K5 1.333 g. But at graduation the results of Baby lobster showed K1 95%, K2 95%, K3 96%, K4 98% and K5 55%. While lobsters for rearing maintenance are K1 87%, K2 79%, K3 9%, K4 76% and K5 82%. The results showed that the growth rate of weight / day in lobsters enlargement size was greater than baby lobsters. While baby lobsters have a better survival rate than lobsters of enlargement size, this is due to the nature of cannibalism among adult lobsters when experiencing a moulting period. And the temperature and salinity of seawater still meet the feasible value of pearl lobster cultivation, which is the temperature range during the study of 26-27 ° C, where the minimum temperature value is 26 ° C and the maximum temperature value is 27 ° C. For salinity values ranging from 34-35 ppt, so that the quality of water in the mouth waters of a thousand said is suitable for pearl lobster cultivation. Keywords: Growth, Survival, Pearl Lobster

Abstract

In an effort to carry out cultivation activities, the obstacle is the availability of seeds is not met, so it is necessary to bring in seeds from other areas. To support cultivation activities, an effective transportation method is needed, one of which is dry system transportation or without water media. By carrying out dry transportation, it can save costs, reduce fish stress, and increase the number of transportation. This study was conducted using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 3 replications, with the test organism being 5-6 cm white snapper seeds. The treatments tested were different densities, namely treatment A density of 10 fish, treatment B density of 15 fish, and treatment C density of 20 fish. Fish transportation was carried out with previous fish anesthesia, using commercial clove oil anesthetic with a dose of 0.10 ml / liter of seawater. Based on observations of transportation for 1 hour of travel, treatment C was the best treatment, namely with an inductive time of 4 minutes, a duration of unconsciousness of 1 hour, and a sedative time of 18 minutes, resulting in a post-transportation survival rate of 78% and a final maintenance survival rate of 76%. The use of clove oil is effective in maintaining the survival rate after dry transportation and after the end of the research on white snapper (Lates calcarifer) seeds.
