Abstract

This research was conducted to significantly compare the ability to recognize numeracy literacy in children, between the group that learned with the traditional engklek game and the group that did not use engklek game, in group B at RA Miftahul Jannah Batam City during the 2023-2024 school year. Research Methods this is quantitative with an experimental approach. The population of this study was all group B children at RA Miftahul Jannah, Batam City, totaling 26 students. The sample was determined using random sampling. The sample in this study was group B1 children, totaling 13 children as the experiment group whose learning used the traditional game of engklek, and group B2 children totaling 13 children as the Kontrol group with conventional learning. Data on children's abilities in numeracy literacy were collected using observation techniques. Data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing are carried out in data analysis. Based on the research results, it is revealed that there is a significant influence of the traditional engklek game on the development of numeracy literacy in group B children at RA Miftahul Jannah, Batam City, which can be seen from group B1 children who learn using the traditional engklek game more quickly grasping the development of numeracy literacy compared to group B1 children. Abstract

This research focuses on determining the role of the IGRA professional organization in improving the pedagogical and professional competence of RA teachers. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The sample selection used a purposive sampling method, namely the researcher chose research subjects that were appropriate and specific to their profession. The primary data source for this research came from 124 respondents consisting of 9 IGRA Regional Leadership administrators (PD IGRA), 11 IGRA Branch Leadership administrators (PC IGRA), 41 school principals and 63 RA teachers in the city of Batam. This research begins in October 2023 until December 2023. Data collection techniques use interviews distributed via the Google Form application and field observations. The results of this research show that the professional organization IGRA has played a role in improving the pedagogical and professional competence of RA teachers through outreach activities, workshops/training and assistance in the Implementation of the Independent Raudhatul Athfal Curriculum (IKM RA). This is proven by the implementation of the Merdeka curriculum in all RA cities of Batam

Abstract

This research shows the positive effect of a sensory integration program on improving concentration abilities in ADHD children. Therefore, this research aims to examine the effects of a sensory integration program on children with ADHD to improve concentration. The type of research used is a case study. The subjects in the study were 2 ADHD children. Data collection techniques use interviews, observation and documentation. The research results show that the sensory integration program positively affects learning concentration in children with ADHD. The reduced frequency of distraction evidences this after being given intervention and the increased focus duration when working on a task. Sensory Integration in the Cahaya Kautsar Inclusion Islamic Kindergarten is implemented in a particular room, namely the sensory integration room. Various types of games and movements stimulate the sensory system and are modified by the therapist so that sensory integration activities are delightful

Abstract

This research aims to examine the ability of PAUD teachers to implement the Independent Curriculum at Duren Sawit 02 Pondok Bambu State Kindergarten, over a period of 3 months, namely September-December 2023. Based on its type, this research is descriptive qualitative research. The data collection method in this research uses three models: interviews, observation and documentation. The data obtained is valid and has a degree of trust, so researchers use two techniques: diligent observation and data triangulation. The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman method which consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this research show that teachers have been able to implement the Independent Curriculum by implementing project-based learning, formative assessments, summative assessments, portfolios and performance-based assessments, as well as creating teaching modules that suit children's interests and talents well.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the management of experimental learning methods based on kinesthetic learning styles in early childhood at RA Raudhatul Ummah, Bekasi City. The research method used is qualitative, with the research object focusing on learning practices at the institution. The research results show that learning management is a necessity that requires the application of management principles, including planning, organizing, implementing and supervising. In addition, the experimental method has proven to be very effective in improving cognitive aspects for children with a kinesthetic learning style. Research recommendations include suggestions to the Head of RA Raudhatul Ummah to carry out assessments from parents through questionnaires regarding experimental method learning activities and ensuring children's comfort. Apart from that, it is recommended that teachers continue to innovate in creating more varied learning methods, especially for children with learning styles other than kinesthetic. This research contributes to a further understanding of the importance of managing experimental learning and adapting learning methods to kinesthetic learning styles to improve the cognitive aspects of early childhood. Hopefully, these findings can become the basis for developing more effective learning approaches in similar educational institutions.

Abstract

Character is the psychological, moral, or ethical traits that distinguish one person from another. Leadership is the ability to influence people to be willing to follow guidance or obey one's decisions. This study to determine the understanding of the role of fathers about leadership character education for early childhood. Qualitative research researchers use because the object under study takes place in a natural setting and aims to know, understand, and appreciate carefully and in more depth about the role of fathers in improving early childhood leadership character education at RA Nurul Abror Cibinong. This study shows the results that the father becomes a role model and determines the direction and rules of the family to make children grow and develop their character for the better. Future research is expected to find more qualified factors and solutions to guide fathers as role models in the family

Abstract

This study focuses on the importance of religious education as an early foundation in RA Nurul Maghfiroh, which is realized through the muhadharah learning method to strengthen morality and religious attitudes in early childhood. The aim is to analyze the concept of religion in the development of religious values, evaluate the effectiveness of muhadharah learning, and assess the role of teachers' and parents' responses to the method. Using a qualitative approach and descriptive analysis, this study describes the natural learning conditions at RA Nurul Maghfiroh through participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Although the learning uses the K13 curriculum, muhadharah learning is scheduled every Friday after the dhuha prayer, with the material delivered through stories, role plays, and Islamic songs. The material includes an interpretation of the Quran that is poeticized, hadith with a prologue, short letters, and daily prayers. The results show that the muhadharah learning method is considered fun and effective by children, parents, and teachers as an essential means of developing character and religious values in early childhood.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of picture cards in making learning media for early childhood. Card games often involve an element of repetition, be it in the form of game rules or in the practice of matching cards. This repetition helps to strengthen the child's memory of the vocabulary learnt. Meanwhile, the lecture method tends to be boring in introducing children to vocabulary in English.  Picture cards provide a visual stimulus that helps children associate pictures with specific English words, making it easier to recognise and understand new vocabulary. The method used is a qualitative research approach. The subjects to be studied are teachers who have used English picture cards totaling 5 teachers at Aisyiyah Lutang Majene Kindergarten. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, documentation, and interviews using previously validated instruments. The results showed that by using picture card media. The ideas that teachers find when using picture card media, are adjusted to the teacher's ability to support English language learning activities in the classroom

Abstract

Picture Card Media is not only a learning tool, but also an effective strategy in improving early childhood reading literacy. This study aims to identify the effect of using picture card media on reading literacy skills in group B children at RA Jami`atul Jannah, Sungai Pelunggut Village, Sagulung Sub-district, Batam City. Reading literacy is defined as a language skill that involves reading, writing, listening, speaking and thinking, within the context of social, historical and cultural practices. The study sample included 28 children in group B, with a quantitative approach and descriptive method. Primary data was collected, and simple linear regression analysis showed that the use of picture card media had a significant effect on children's reading literacy, with a coefficient value of 1.358. The results show that picture card media is effective in improving children's early reading literacy skills, providing a significant role and influence in the development of early reading skills

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of using shoulder box media to enhance children's abilities in recognizing letters and colors at RA Nurul Wahid Al-Wahyuni. The research employs a qualitative approach with pre-test and post-test designs. The sample consists of 30 kindergarten students aged 4-6 years old. Data were collected through observation and tests. The results show a significant improvement in children's abilities in recognizing letters and colors after using shoulder box media. The results of the research show that the use of soulder box media can increasechildren’s knowledge. The media used in learning is can active and guided game that fulfills the following elements: by using soulder box media the overall score for children who can guess letters is 7,33 and for children who can recognizing corors is 7,28. This indicates that shoulder box media can be an effective tool for enhancing early childhood education. The findings suggest that incorporating shoulder box media into early childhood education can positively impact children's learning outcomes. The interactive and hands-on nature of shoulder box media likely contributes to its effectiveness in engaging young learners. Additionally, the study highlights the importance of utilizing innovative teaching aids to enhance the learning experience of young children, particularly in the development of foundational skills such as letter and color recognition. Overall, the study underscores the potential of shoulder box media as a valuable tool for educators in enhancing the quality of early childhood education
