<![CDATA[SMS is an important thing that is owned by all PT Hafar Daya Samudera's fleet. The main problems and objectives in this thesis are how is the implementation of the SMS (Safety Management System) to Neptune's Hafar Barge, how are the security and safety shipping procedures implemented by the crew at the time of emergency and are there any influence of the safety management system and the shipping safety on Barge Hafar Neptune on PT Hafar Daya Samudera. The results of the calculation of data processing by the author is important for Barge Hafar Neptune to implement a safety management system proven by the weight and average results of research calculations of 92 (4.60). It is important for companies to carry out accident prevention related to the safety management system according to the calculation and data processing carried out by the authors. The highest weight and average percentage according to the results of research calculations is 124 (6.20) and it is important for the company to improve accident prevention on Barge Hafar Neptune which is proven by the weight and average results of research calculations of 96 (4.80).]]>

<![CDATA[PT. Mitsui O.S.K Lines Logistics Indonesia is a freight forwarding company engaged in export and import activities. The main issue studied in this research is whether or not the application of Job Description and Internal Procedure System affect the effectiveness of sea export services. The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze the relationship between job description and internal procedure system applied to the effectiveness of sea export services. In this study, the researchers use multiple regression analysis techniques, multiple correlation, coefficient determinant, and hypothesis testing. The results of the analysis and discussion show the existence of positive and strong influence on the job description implementation and Internal Procedure System towards the Effectiveness of Sea Export Services. This is shown by multiple linear regression equation Y = 1,463 + 0.379.X_1 + 0.553.X_2, correlation coefficient equals to 0,769 and coefficient determinant equals to 59.13%. Hypothesis test also shows that F stat > F table (20,9 > 3,3) then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. There is a significant relation between job description implementation and internal procedure system towards the effectiveness of service export of sea at PT. Mitsui O.S.K Lines Logistics Indonesia.]]>

<![CDATA[A growing society needs a good transportation system that supports the ongoing activities of large business community. Road transport system is a universal and integral system without boundaries. Existence of people does depend on transportation. Different countries implement various transportation systems with different traits and characteristics. The study was conducted by looking at the network of transportation system. The researchers are comparing the transportation system in United States, United Kingdom and Indonesia. The fundamental difference is the orientation of the government. In terms of the provision of public transport services, the Indonesian government is still in the primary stage oriented to provide public transportation for people to arrive at the destination, while other countries have been at the secondary stage of comfort-oriented and safety-concern. They have even been to the tertiary stage that is the luxury-attention. ]]>

<![CDATA[The aim of the research is to be able to assess the activities undertaken by terminal operators because of the expected operational performance standard.. The problem of the research is that the operators or employees do not meet the expected standards of performance that have been set at Mustika Alam Lestari Terminal (MAL). This research used Developmental descriptive method. From the result of the study, there are four indicators that have not reached the standard of performance. First, waiting time (idle time) with standard 1 hour waiting time in 2016 which reached about 1.35 hours in which the results exceeds the standard set and declared by MALwhich is not good. Second, it is about ET: BT (Effective Time: Birthing Time) with a standard of 75% though in 2016 Mustika Alam Lestari reached about 73%. Third, the standard of 24 boxes Box/Crane/Hour of Mustika Alam Lestari in 2016 only reached an average of 19.63 boxes. The last is for delivery of containers with the standard set about 45 minutes but Mustika Alam Lestari terminal in 2016 reached 56.17 minutes for delivering the container. The sanctions or solutions made by the port authority as a regulator is to identify the performance of employees or operators that have not reached the expected standard and PT. Mustika Alam Lestari must provide an assessment or evaluation for improving employees performance.]]>

Therefore, travel business competition as partner of the transportion services could also be recognized by the increasing number of similar companies that offer travel services such as ticket sales selling services by giving competitive price and using online services. The research is using Case Study. The aim is to provide an overview of the background, characteristics and distinctive character of the cases. The type of approach and the researcher for one case conducts an intensive, in-depth, detailed and comprehensive analysis (Sugiono: 2008, 98). It was clear that the price, quality of service, and customer satisfaction go hand in hand. In other words, the higher the price and the quality of services will simultaneously increase the customer satisfaction.]]>

<![CDATA[The aim of this study is to analyze the effect of the equipment availability towards the operator’s performance. The data collection method used in this study was questionnaire that was spread out to 30 respondents using saturated sample technique. There were 30 samples used and data processed taken from the questionnaire. The data analysis method of regression, correlation analysis, determinant coefficient and hypothesis testing were also used in this study. The result of the study shows that there is a positive effect of the equipment availability towards operator’s performance which is shown by the simple linear line of Y= 22,898 + 0.461 X. It means, there is Y value change of 0.461 times X at 22,898 constants in every one-value change of X variable. Based on the correlation analysis of r=0,421, there is a moderate effect of X variable to Y variable. Determinant coefficient testing result shows a value of 17.72% for the contribution effect of the equipment availability towards the operator’s performance. Meanwhile, there is value of 82.28% for the effect of other factors which are not analyzed in this study. Furthermore, the result of the hypothesis testing shows that t-score = 2,475 and t-table= 1,701 or t score > t table, which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. It is concluded that there is a significant effect between the equipment availability and the operator’s performance.]]>

<![CDATA[Human Resources of better known as the workforce is one of important factor that must be considered by the company in order to achieve its goals. It is needed the company’s ability to manage resources in a planned, especially human resource as the company’s executive power to generate power operational effectiveness and efficiency in any activities of the company. One factor that is important to note the company’s management in an effort to improve the quality of human resources, so the impact of increased labor productivity is a factor of discipline and compensation.The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship of discipline and compensation to labor productivity. The study design using hypothesis testing with multiple linear regression analysis method, to determine the magnitude of the relationship of independent variables on the dependent variable. In this study , data collection is done by spreading the census questionnaire to 36 employees of PT. Marindo Jaya Abadi, which of 36 questionnaire distributed a total of 36 answered in full by the employee and can be analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results of this study concluded that the first, the discipline has a strong relationship with work productivity. Second, compensation has a strong relationship with work productivity. Third, discipline and motivation jointly strong associated with work productivity.]]>

<![CDATA[In recent years, the world has witnessed a growing concern over the issue of safety culture within aviation and other complex, high-risk industries. The purpose of this study is to find out the roles of safety culture from safety behavior with the system of safety to reach zero accident. The method used in this study is case research or field study, with descriptive explanation, quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data had been gathered from the calculation of safety percentage level (Cooper) while qualitative data was taken from observation and field interviews.The highest percentage for safety at GSE is 95% and the lowest is 52.5%. The whole result shows that safety above 50% means that there’s still awareness of safety behavior by using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and this still needs to be maximized more. Organization safety system is already executed and well documented even though deviations are still found in the operation execution.It is hoped that this study will enable researchers and safety professionals to have a better understanding and assess safety culture which will facilitate the sharing of information and strategies for improving safety culture across organizations and industries.]]>

<![CDATA[The objective of this research is to find out how big the influence of the loading and unloading productivity and the berthing time in a case study at Tanjung Emas Port, Semarang. The data analysis method used was simple linear analysis and hypothesis test. This research used secondary data of loading and unloading productivity (BCH) and berthing time in a year. The analysis results and discussion show that there is a proportional influence of loading and unloading productivity and berthing time that is shown in equation of simple linear regression line of Y = 35,38 - 0,832X. Furthermore, the hypothesis test results show that F count = 11.36 and F table = 4.96 , therefore, F count > F table or 11.36 > 4.]]>

<![CDATA[PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II in Banten is one of the port businesses in Indonesia located in Banten province. The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the use and maintenance of Gantry Luffing Crane, the impact of unloading process of dry bulk in port 005c and the correlation of the used of Gantry Luffing Crane for productivity of dry bulk in PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II. Field research and document analysis were used as the methods of this study. T-test was used to analyze the data. The result of this study shows that there is positive impact utilization of Gantry Luffing Crane in productivity dry bulk of grain. It could be seen from the point of productivity that increase 1 point or 0.6 point. Based on the correlation coefficient (r) 0,770 there is strong relation of the used Gantry Luffing Crane in loading productivity of dry bulk of grain. The determinant coefficient was 59.3% which is the contribution of the use of gantry luffing crane to the rise and fall of unloading productivity of dry bulk food of 59.3% and the rest of 40.7% is the unexamined influence of other factors. From the result of hypothesis test known that t value < t table is 3,511 <1,684 <1,684. There is a significant influence between the usage of gantry luffing crane to productivity of dry bulk food at PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II in Banten.]]>
