Abstract

The purpose of this study is to test and understand the effect of Investigator Accountability and Gender Empowerment on Performance of the Investigation Team. According to National Transportation Safety Committee, gender equality has become an important issue in development because socially it has differenciate roles, responsibilities, rights and functions as well as the activities of men and women in society. These differences ultimately make people tend to be discriminatory and picky about the treatment of access, participation, and control in the results of development of men and women including in the field of transportation and accident investigation. This research was using quantitative analysis methods with multiple regression analysis tools with a sample size of 40 respondents, calculated the relationship between the accountability of investigators along with gender empowerment on the performance of the investigation team. The results of the study: there is a positive relationship between Investigator Accountability and the Performance of the Investigation Team of the National Transportation Safety Committee as well as Gender Empowerment. And this also applies to the positive relationship between Investigator Accountability and Gender Empowerment together with the Performance of the National Transportation Safety Committee's Investigation Team. This research is not only useful to improve policy making in the field of human resource development in the National Transportation Safety Committee but also in other institutions that have the same scope.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to find out whether the maintenance process at UPT Balaiyasa Manggarai is controlled or not.  UPT (Integrated Service Unit) Balaiyasa Manggarai is the only railway locomotive workshop that conducts facilities service operating in Java Island.  Balaiyasa Manggarai gives 3-months guarantee, usually termed as the Balaiyasa Warranty Period (masa Tanggungan Balaiyasa) commencing from the train exit date from the balaiyasa.  The research problem aroused in this study is there are still some trains that have to be returned to the maintenance because of failures during the warranty period. At the same time, Balaiyasa Manggarai ensures there should be a minimum or near-zero failures. The research method applied in this study was quantitative descriptive evaluation by using Quality Control Tools analysis technique and FMEA. Based on the Annual Railway Report in 2015-2016, there have been 33 failures during warranty periods from the total production of 416 trains.  The result of U-Chart analysis shows that the maintenance process is still within the control limit because there are no points coming out of the UCL and LCL.  The Pareto Chart shows that there is 1 failure which should be eliminated from the 4 failures to increase the quality of the trains.

Abstract

Akebono Astra Indonesia Jakarta (AAIJ) is a manufacturing company with major product brake for vehicle wheels 2 and 4 as a main product. In distributing goods in plant 1, this company use material handling equipment such as towing car. Problems encountered is the lack of accurate measurement of working time although it has added rating factor and allowances. Because of the time in the field, car towing operator work time longer than the company expected. One way of measuring standard time (working time has been added rating factor and allowances) is the stopwatch method (clock stop). The purpose of writing is to know the amount of the actual car towing cycle time and standard time, how the elements of the work and standardizing the order of elements of the work and effectiveness of the towing car to the period of 2014. From this study, it is expected the company can improve operator effectiveness towing car

Abstract

PT Garuda Indonesia is a state-owned enterprise that run business in commercial air transport industry. The purpose of this paper was to examine the effect of delay Flight Operation, Commercial, and Technical On On-time Performance. To obtain that purpose, writer used analysis method of Classic Assumption Test (Multicollinearity, Autocorrelation, Heteroscedasticity, Linearity), Simple Linear and Multivariate Linear regression, correlation coefficient, coefficient of determination, and hypothesis test. The analysis shown that all independent variable is obtained BLUE criteria and could be used as good estimator for next discussion. Multivariate regression equation is Y = 98,481 – 0,039X1 – 0,016X2 – 0,006X3 means that every increase of X1 (Flight Operation delay), X2 (Commercial delay), and X3 (Technical delay) will impact to the change of Y variable (On-time Performance) at the level of 0,039, 0,016, and 0,006 unit of count and at 98,481 intercept point. Correlation coefficient (r) at 0,846 represent strong correlation between variables. Coefficient of determination at 71,6%. From the hypothesis test, it shown that F result (26,910) >F Table (2,90), means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, means there is a correlation between X1, X2, and X3 toward Y variable (On-time Performance) simultantly in PT Garuda Indonesia year2014-2016.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the conformity degree between performance and interests. This research used a survey method with Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) approach. The result shows that the service implementation is already good enough. Based on Cartesian Coordinate Analysis, there are two factors of service which have not met customer expectations in Quadrant A yet; punctuality in shipping goods and staff as the problem solver. The two factors become main priorities of the company. While in Quadrant B, there are three factors of company achievement that need to be maintained; customs clearance service fee, employees work thoroughly and detailed with experience, and good office facilities. Quadrant C shows the ability of employees to work smart using concepts; greet and smile, and also give attention to the customers. The last is Quadrant D that shows although customers do not need phone or email assistance anymore, the company still provides them.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to find out the effect of the first security inspection place monitoring to flight safety implementation in Husein Sastranegara International Airport.  The analysis techniques used in this study were simple linier regression, coefficient correlation, determinant coefficient and hypothesis test. The result shows that there is a balance effect between the first security inspection place monitoring and flight safety implementation based on simple linear regression analysis Y = 20,601 + 0,656X which means each changes from one variable X will be followed by Y changes of 0,656 times X in constant of 20,601. Based on coefficient correlation analysis, r= 0.735 is close to 1 that there is a strong and positive relation between the first security inspection place monitoring and flight safety implementation in Husein Sastranegara International Airport. Based on the determinant coefficient analysis, 54 % shows the contribution of variable X (first security inspection place) to variable Y (flight safety implementation) while the other 42 % is from other factors. The last result is t count > t table: 5,729 > 1,701 from hypothesis test which means there is a significant relation between X and Y variables (Ho is rejected while Ha is accepted).

Abstract

PT. Indonesia Air Asia is one of the Indonesia national flight company which is using Airbus 320-200 and Boeing 737 – 300 for route Jakarta – Yogyakarta – Jakarta. The problem of the research is the high frequency of the flight based on the number of passengers on that route. Using two methods; field and library research and analyzed by market share analysis, linear trend, seat load factor (SFL), to find out the needs of flight frequency, the number of passengers, and diagram rotation. The result shows that there is an addition to the number of passengers and flight frequency of the route. Based on the analysis, Y = a+bX, the fluctuation trend pax on the first quarter route Jakarta – Yogyakarta is 68 % and on the second quarter route Yogyakarta – Jakarta is 67 %. For SFL, route Jakarta – Yogyakarta in the third quarter is 86 % dan the opposite route is 80 %.
