Abstract

The increasing need for vehicles brings up several problems for loading and unloadingcompanies due to the dominance of cargo vehicles in the car yards, the increasing cargotraffic inside the port every year, the tardiness of export documents from the Shipper / EMKLowners and the increasing intense competition of similar business fields on the same location.By using Evaluation Review Technique Program / PERT , the researchers would like to findout the process of loading and unloadingvehicle , the factors that influence the time forloading and unloading vehicle and the optimal time in scheduling loading and unloadingvehicle. The results show that the time for loading and unloading vehicle is carried out within22:25:00 25 minutes and the critical path at 21:40:00. The factors that influence the length ofloading and unloading vehicle are (a) Delay in providing export documents, (b) Simplesystem for making stowage plan documents, (c) Lack of Human Resources in the process ofloading and unloading vehicles. The optimal time that can be taken is 14:00:00 withopportunities based on a normal table of 0.99988, which means that there is a chance of99.99% of the process loading and unloading vehicles can be completed in the optimal time.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to find out the influence of training variables of Occupational Health and Employee Performance. Data collection method used in this research was field research methods with a population of 30 respondents. Both methods of data analysis were also applied by using multiple linear regression analysis, validity test, reliability test, t-test, f-test, and coefficient determination. The issue discussed in this research is the lack of employee training in understanding the Occupational Safety Health in the warehouse. The results of analysis and discussion shows a proportional relationship between training of Occupational Safety and employee performance that the level of relationship variables belong to the strong category and Occupational Safety Health gives significant influence to employee performance variable.

Abstract

This study is aimed to find out how much influence the import cargo of PT Indonesia Air Asia to the import goods irregularity. The researchers used 2 data collective methods which are field research and library research. Then, the data is analyzed using linearity regression, coefficient correlation, determinant coefficient and hypothesis test. The result showed that there is a low relation between import cargo volume and irregularity based on linearity regression; Y = 5.220 + 0.001 X. Coefficient correlation analysis r = 0.01 means that there is no correlation between X and Y. The determinant coefficient in 1 % showed that the contribution of cargo volume to the irregularity is 1 % while 99 % is the other factors. The last result is hypothesis test which showed t count < t table (0.031 < 1.812). It means that Ho is accepted and of course Ha is rejected. The conclusion of the results is that there is a low and negative relation between import cargo volume and the irregularity goods of PT Indonesia Air Asia.

Abstract

Based on the analysis of Queing Theory, the utilisation of the first location A.04.1 shows that the crate box 2.21/day (λ1), the crate box 0.2217/day (m1), 4.75 % (r1) and the crate box of the second location A.04.2 is 5.93/day (λ2), 0,3788 the crate box/day (m2), and 7,45% (r2). These results show that the utilisation of the two locations are below of what is expected. In this case, the research has provided the solutions which are to increase the traffic or volume of the crate and increase the marketing of the location utilisations using 4P’s (Product, Price, Promotion, Place).

Abstract

Dwelling time is an unfinished classic matter in Indonesia. As a matter of fact, it is a simple thing and is a small part of port management. The research is trying to get the solutions of the matter by using research and development analysis and quantitative method. The important things to do in solving dwelling time are managing the port well, cutting off the complicated bureaucracy, and using one synchronized system for all services.

Abstract

PT Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT) is a subsidiary of PT (Persero) Pelabuhan Indonesia II (Pelindo II) and its business activities is the service of loading / unloading of export / import containers. The purpose of this research is to find out the role of Verified Gross Mass (VGM) system in maintaining the safety of vessel shipping. Theresearch method used descriptive qualitative. Implementation of Verified Gross Mass (VGM) system at PT. JICT has been running well in accordance with the provisions that have been established using the sensor technology called Weight in Motion (WIM). The advantage of this system is to minimize misunderstanding in the placement of containers on board by Planner. The role of the Verified Gross Mass (VGM) system in safeguarding cruise shipping is closely related. With this system, the information on the amount of container gross weight will be much clearer, precisely accurate so that the possibility of a ship accident caused by the inaccuracies of containers resulting in unstable ships can be suppressed.

Abstract

Very limited capacity of the highway in some economies tract, such as the Trans Java traffic, has an impact on increasing the travel time especially in the use of rail transport, so that a certain pathway requires capacity building and the development of new lines gradually. The purpose of this research was to determine the capacity of rail transport infrastructure that is optimal for the distribution of goods, especially as the company managed by PT. Railway Logistics or KALOG. Another problem is how the government's role and the flow of freight transport demand. In the discussion, through a variety of existing data, the authors use research with phenomenological approach on the basis of qualitative analysis methods interpretative paradigm. Results are expected to be useful for improving knowledge about the needs of rail freight transport on goods distribution on the Java Island. The results of this research will be published in scientific journals.

Abstract

Research objective is to determine the strategy supply chain that focuses on storage and distribution, as the company acts as a third party logistics, using SWOT Analysis. Through tabulation IFAS and EFAS later to view the results using the Analysis Diagram 4-K that it produces results IFAS  (score 0.79) and EFAS (score -0.31) which produces Supporting Strategies Turn-around. So, the overall total could be seen from the Matrix Internal external is from Internal yield of 3.91 points and 2.46 of external. It means, the company can focus on stability, and the latter using SWOT Matrix (TOWS) to see the position of company that can take one of several possible strategies and company getting WO (weakness and opportunity). Its means, the company should be able to reduce weaknesses in the company in order to take advantage of opportunities that could advance the company.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is (1) to find out the use (utilization) of motorized equipment support at PT Gapura Angkasa branch office Soekarno Hatta Airport in 2015 equal to 214 appliances with request 244 appliances and (2) to find out the highest usage tools in 2015. Data presentation was using available equipment ground support data, equipment on demand, and tools that can not be used (idle). The explanation is supported by previous journals and thesis of ground support equipment as well as literature review of several theories related to it. The research results show that the use of GSE motorized ambulift equipment is 100% indicating that ambulift is used continuously and in reasonable condition to wear. The toolsused are the Ground Power Unit with 94% usage and followed by other devices with the same amount from 70% to 88% which means that the use of motorized ground support equipmentis is quite high.
