Abstract

PT. Indonesia Port Company (IPC) Tanjung Priok Container Terminal (TPK) is a company serving loading and unloading services of goods to and from ships. It is located at Ocean Going Pier which is a terminal with the main activity to serve loading and unloading container. The purpose of this study is to determine the correlation of productivity of Loading and Unloading Equipment (Crane) toward Berthing Time at the Ocean Going Pier at PT. Tanjung Priok TPC IPC Year 2016-2018. This research used quantitative methods with primary and secondary data sources. The expected output with the correlation of productivity of Loading and Unloading Equipment (Crane) toward Berthing Time at Ocean Going Pier at PT. Tanjung Priok TPC IPC Year 2016-2018 is that the company could make decisions and policy. The results show that there is a partially significant positive correlation between Crane variables (X₁) and Berthing Time (Y), where t-count 4.839> t-table 2.03224 and significant 0.000 <0.05, then Hₒ is rejected and Ha is accepted. Judging from the correlation coefficient between Productivity Crane (X₁) and Berthing Time (Y), 0.639, it is indicated as a strong correlation because it is in the interval of 0,600-0,799.

Abstract

Performance and quality of the river fleet crew and productivity can be achieved if the crew has high discipline. Discipline is an aspect which contributes to decide things to be done in order to achieve certain goals.Continuous training indicates a level of responsibility to carry out the work in accordance with the abilities, skills and knowledge (initiative). A high discipline on a river flotilla crew will have a positive impact on performance. It means more training a river flotilla crew have more work can be completed and maintained. Based on the hypothesist, there is a significant positive relationship between the performance and competence of river fleet crew. It shows H1 is accepted. The second one, there is a significant positive relationship between the performance and discipline of river fleet crew, shown by H2 is accepted. The last one, there is a significant relationship between both competence and discipline and performance of river fleet crew that H3 is accepted.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the constraints on the Transit Time Performance at the DHL Express Service Center Karawaci. The data used are primary data and secondary data. The samples studied were 27 respondents. In this study, using 17 types of main categories (types of causative factors). The results of the factor analysis test show that of the 17 types of main categories that survive in the model and group them into 5 factors, the factors that affect the constraints on Transit Time Performance. These factors are the number of employees with a percentage of 40%, the work hours factor of employees with a percentage of 30%, the scanner performance factor with a percentage of 20% and the bonus factor with a percentage of 10%. The dominating factor is the number of employees which has a percentage of 40%. The factors that are formed are then analyzed using the Fishbone Diagram method to determine the causative factors graphically, so that the company can take preventive and corrective actions to reduce the error rate in service quality.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine and analyze the effect of loading and unloading performance and the application of auto gates to the effectiveness of shipping goods. Koja Container Terminal is the busiest container terminal compared to other terminals in Indonesia. In this research, the data collection techniques was using observation. The method of data analysis used multiple linear regression equations which one unit of X1 and X2 changes (adding / subtracting) will change the Y percentage either increasing or decreasing. Using the calculation of correlation, it could be seen that the application of auto gate and loading and unloading performance has a very strong and positive relationship to the effectiveness of shipping goods.

Abstract

The objective of the research is to determine the correlation between Employees’ Competence (Ko) and Service Quality (Ku) with Aviation Safety (Ks). The research was conducted at PT. Jasa Angkasa Semesta Tbk Jakarta Eksport warehouse with n = 45 respondent decided fixed due to saturate sample. Data analysis uses simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, simple correlation and partial correlation. The result are as follow ; (1) there is positive correlation between employees’ competence (Ko) and aviation safety (Ks), (2) there is positive correlation between service quality (Ku) and aviation safety (Ks) (3) there is positive correlation between employees’ competence and service quality all together toward aviation safety . Based on the result of research, aviation safety could be enhanced by increasing employees’ competence and service quality.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the pedestrian behavior of school children when crossing the road and to review the road design factors from the student's house to the school, such as consistency, continuity, attractiveness, safety, comfort, spatial integration, experience, and socio-economic value, in order to integrate bicycle infrastructure designs with school safety zones. This study was designed qualitatively with data from the experiences of 100 child participants aged 12-15 years following the flow and route to school. Participants was asked to fulfill questionnaire consisted of 10 points of system reports and 41 points of audit statements on road infrastructure factors that were traversed to school. Data analysis used the school safety zone theory (ZoSS) and eight levels of bicycle service. The findings of investigative research that participants understood the standard 4T guarding, but inconsistent with the right-looking procedure. This makes the front area of the school requires a school safety zone (ZoSS) as a reminder for students to apply the correct traversing procedure In addition, the findings of the audit of infrastructure factors that support well-planned infrastructure. The result contains recommendations to improve and enhance road infrastructure for pedestrians and cyclists for school children with the integration of bicycle service levels into school safety zones (ZoSS).

Abstract

This research aims to identify the impact of delivery in full, on time (DIFOT), just in time (JIT), and logistics costs due to the expansion of odd-even policy on logistics activities in DKI Jakarta. This research used primary data obtained from the questionnaire distributed to business people in the logistics sector. The instrument model used in this study was multiple linear regression. The result shows that the three variables, which were delivery in full, on time (DIFOT), and just-in-time (JIT), has strong (significant) impacts on logistics activities. On the other hand, logistics cost has less impact on logistics activities since anticipation could still be done by hiring outsourcing partners for transportation vehicle units and adjusting distribution times for areas affected by odd-even policy.

Abstract

Terminal is a major node in a network which are collections of the overall trajectory. But now the existence of a passenger terminal does not function effectively, it is seen from the low utilization by the user terminal transport services. Hence, the aim in this study was to evaluate airport terminal service against type A standards. This study was conducted at the Passenger Terminal Type A Tirtonadi Surakarta using descriptive and quantitative research methods, with a sample size of 355 people. Data were collected through an instrument in the form of sheets of questions with Likert scale models that have been tested. The study used the analytical techniques Importance Performance Analysis. Results of the first study, it was concluded that the quality of service in Terminal Tirtonadi ie 81.41 are on service quality category B with satisfactorily. Second, the level of conformity Terminal services Tirtonadi not met the expectations of service users. Thirdly, it was concluded that the services are a top priority for improvement is the safety information that is easy and clear, the Internet network facilities, battery charging facilities, waiting room, and the arrival and departure of vehicles as well as the tariffs of public vehicles.

Abstract

Services offered by logistics companies cover shipping expedition and airship expedition as well as warehousing. One of the services is called Moving Storing Location (PLP), and hoarding them at Temporary Storage (TPS). The purpose of this study iss to identify the problem at the regulation of container stacking and  to improve good operational performance during the loading and unloading process and container handling in the stacking yard. This research used 2 methods. The first method was field research with 100 population and 80 samples. The second method employed multiple regression analysis, validity, reliability, F, and T test, and coefficient of determination to analyze the data. Based on the product moment correlation analysis, it is found that r = 0,853. It shows that the level of correlation between these variables is in the strong and moderate category. The inter-variable correlation test (hypothesis testing 1) or tcount resulted in 12,447 > ttable 1,991 whereas the hypothesis testing 2 obtained 13,088 > ttable 1,991. Based on the result, Ho is rejected and Ha iss accepted which means both variables affect occupational safety significantly.
