Abstract

Pangandaran Beach is one of the famous tourist destinations in West Java. The people around the tourist site of Pangandaran beach are many wholike the restaurant business. The waste produced includes leech oil which is the remaining oil produced by frying. The resulting waste oil is never utilized further, just thrown into the environment. With a large number of restaurants, the waste cooking oil produced is also a lot.  To overcome this problem, it is necessary to carry out activities aimed at increasing the added value of cooking oil waste by processingit into soap. From the training program that has been implemented, participants are very appreciative and amazed by the results of making soap from leech oil. This activity also has a positive impact with the opening of business opportunities for processing oil into soap so that it has an impact on increasing economic income for culinary traders. In addition, reducing the disposal of waste oil, thus maintaining the preservation of the environment and health.

Abstract

Personal hygiene is an action to maintain one's cleanliness and health for physical and psychological well-being, lack of self-care is a condition where a person is unable to carry out hygiene care for himself. Seeing this, personal hygiene is defined as personal hygiene which includes all activities aimed at achieving body hygiene including washing, bathing, caring for hair, nails, teeth, and gums, and cleaning the genital area. If someone is sick, usually less attention to personal hygiene. This happens because they think that cleanliness is a trivial problem, even though if it is not paid attention to it it can affect personal health problems in terms cleanliness which will lead to skin diseases. The correctional institution is a correctional business unit that accommodates, treats, and fosters prisoners. A skin disease that usually occurs in prisoners is scabies. This is due to the condition of the correctional facilities not being fully optimal, the habits are not clean and personal hygiene is not maintained.

Abstract

Food sufficiency is a condition that is expected by every human individual. Food sufficiency, both in terms of quality and quantity, needs to be pursued. One way to fulfill food sufficiency is to empower existing resources. The Food Security Agency through the Center for Consumption Diversification and Food Safety has re-launched the Sustainable Food House Area Concept (KRPL), in order to accelerate food diversification and strengthen community food security. Darul Mukhlasin Islamic Boarding School, also known as the Al-Qur'an and Natural Da'wah Vocational High School (SMK ADA) is one of the Islamic boarding schools located in Pekanbaru City. This pesantren is located in Rumbai Bukit Village, Rumbai District, Pekanbaru City, and has 102 students. In the area of ??the Islamic boarding school, there is a river that is partially unused. The results of the evaluation of the implementation of community service activities regarding river empowerment were concluded as follows: Knowledge of aquatic resource empowerment and catfish cultivation increased by 88.00%, with very good criteria. Suggestions for further service activities need to increase knowledge and skills with different materials, for example about integrated farming, considering that there is still quite a large area around the Darul Mukhlasin Islamic Boarding School, Rumbai Bukit Village, Rumbai Barat District, Pekanbaru City.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought drastic changes to the economic conditions of parents of students who on average work as farmers, traders, and fishermen. It is necessary to find a solution that contributes to overcoming the problem. This community service aims to help students find practical solutions during the Covid-19 Pandemic in meeting their daily needs while boarding in the city of Padang by means of Budikdamber, namely Fish Cultivation in buckets filled with kale plants. The service method that will be carried out is practical training or Participation Action Research service, namely service that requires active participation from the servant. The Budikdamber PAR method is used as a way to help the student's economy so that they are responsible for themselves in maintaining the continuity of their life goals as family members. This budikdamber service is very important to be trained for students as a practical solution in increasing income to help ease the economy of parents, especially to overcome difficulties in paying tuition fees.

Abstract

Mandau District is one of the most densely populated districts in Bengkalis Regency, here there is a Pematang Pudu Clean Waste Bank located in Pematang Pudu village with a population of 29,986 people consisting of 17 RW and 95 RT with an area of 25 KM2. This waste bank was established in 2015 and accommodates non-organic waste such as bottles, plastic, paper, and cardboard of various types. However, organic waste that has not been maximized for processing is therefore given training on the manufacture of POC or Liquid Organic Fertilizer by involving the Adiwiyata school in Mandau District so that the benefits are felt to be wider and can be practiced at home to process organic waste.

Abstract

Religious education is the foundation for every human being. Islamic education is not only a complementary science, but it should be a basic science in living the life of Muslims and Muslim women. Some people on their own initiative and together with their groups feel the lack of religious knowledge in formal schools. Therefore, the emergence of Islamic Boarding Schools and Tahfidz Houses, especially in Pekanbaru, can become Al-Qur'an Educational Institutions and Islamic Da'wah / Study Institutions for the community, especially for early childhood. Tahfizhul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School Tajul Qurani is a boarding school to practice reading the Qur'an and Da'wah / Islamic Studies, initially only accepted female students, but with more and more enthusiasts who want to learn, partners also open classes for boys. Partners want to expand the symbols of Learning to read the Qur'an and Islamic Studies more broadly, namely through the YouTube channel. Partners have a lack of knowledge about how to document with video-shooting & editing media as well as effective ways to upload videos to YouTube. The target to be achieved is for partners to understand how to video-shooting & edit which will later be published through the partner's YouTube channel, and the outputs to be achieved are community learning services, reports, and scientific articles (journals)

Abstract

The increasing volume of waste, especially household waste, and there aren’t any yet of Final Disposal Sites (TPA) and Temporary Disposal Sites (TPS) in Rantau Panjang Village, Rumbai Barat District, Pekanbaru City, requires waste management with simple technology. The application of simple technology is expected to give optimal results in processing and controlling household waste. One method that can be developed is to convert household waste into liquid fertilizer. With the geographical condition of Rantau Panjang Village which is still green, there are several community groups doing simple agriculture. However, with the high price of chemical fertilizers, household spending has increased. For this reason, it is necessary socialization and train to process household waste into Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC). The training was conducted for several farmer groups in Rantau Panjang Village, Rumbai Barat District. From this socialization, hoped that it will reduce community agricultural spending.

Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to build investor spirit among millennials, especially in stock investment. Because there are still many who do not understand how to start investing, so our PKM team took the initiative to provide SPMS (Sharia Capital Market School) training. This community service activity method uses a direct practice method, namely by opening an account by providing material first. Abstract

This short sewing course training was held at the LKSA (Child Social Welfare Institution) As-Shohwah orphans and orphans Pekanbaru with young women as participants. About 30 children and young women live here, most of whom are still of school age. This training aims to measure the level of parental understanding of entrepreneurship and conduct training in sewing clothes, skirts, pillowcases, and sheets during the planned time span, which is two days.

Abstract

The Lhoknga beach area is one of the areas in Aceh that has beautiful beaches and enormous potential for marine wealth, including turtles. This area is a paradise for turtles to lay their eggs. Turtles are reptiles living in the sea and whose existence has long been threatened by nature and human activities. Internationally, sea turtles are included in the 'red list' in the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN), which means that their existence in nature is threatened with extinction, so all forms of utilization and distribution must receive serious attention. Therefore, turtle conservation efforts are an essential and urgent program to protect and save turtle populations, especially in Indonesia because, in Indonesia, there are 6 out of 7 turtle species that still exist today. This activity has been completed at Lhoknga Beach by releasing 120 turtle hatchlings. It is hoped that this community service activity will be able to increase public awareness to participate together in preserving turtles and not hunting them anymore.
