Abstract

The facts in the field show that not many elementary school teachers have upgraded their skills through various trainings, one of which is the competence to conduct guidance and counseling. Various alternative solutions can be used as problem solving, namely training on the use of character-based student self-understanding modules to help class teachers and students in implementing counseling guidance in elementary schools. The method used is lecture, question and answer or discussion and mentoring. The target audience is elementary school teachers who are members of cluster 3, Kec. Gunungsari. The place of implementation is at SDN 1 Kekeri. The participants were 10 teachers and 5 principals. The implementation of this service activity is divided into four stages of activity, namely opening and greetings, material presentation, questions and answers, and the practice of using the module by the teacher. In general, the activities went quite smoothly. There was an increase in the teacher's understanding of the use of the module. The post-activity follow-up for each participant is implementing the module to students. The service team will provide field assistance to ensure participants are able to carry out according to the designations and instructions in the module.

Abstract

Street lamp lighting (SLL) is a complementary element of the street that serves to illuminate the environment around the street, so that road users will feel safe and comfortable. Based on the PkM team survey, RT 100 Manggar Village does not yet have a SLL. Therefore, the PkM team has designed 1 unit of Solar Power Plant (PLTS) with a capacity of 50 wp in the RT with 5 point DC lamp loads on the main road and 1 point placed in a resident's house, as well as placing the panel boxes. The main components of PLTS 50 wp include 50 wp solar panels, 35 ampere controllers, 35 Ah VRLA batteries, fiber cables, 3 watt DC lights, and fittings. The results of the battery endurance test after the solar panel is charged for 5 hours (when the sun is hot), the PLTS is able to turn on 6 light points (3 watts) for 46 hours. This proves that the PLTS is very efficient and suitable to be implemented as a source of PJU electrical energy in Manggar Village, Balikpapan City

Abstract

The door is an important component of the dwelling. The need for security is an important thing in everyday life. Home security such as doors, cupboards, lockers and so on at this time still uses a manual system, namely by using conventional keys. Conventional door locks usually consist of a key housing and a saddle to open it. The demands that must be carried out by schools in implementing the learning process that utilize information and communication technology face various obstacles that are not simple. The importance of technology-based learning that can open students' horizons and hone students' soft skills. The implementation of the PKM Assisted School activities is carried out through three stages, namely the initial stage, the process stage, and the final stage. The implementation of training on making door locks begins with the provision of smart home and door lock materials to open up insights about automation technology. After participants gain an understanding of smart homes and door locks, participants will be shown the components and systems in making door locks. Furthermore, each participant will do practice to make an automatic door security system so that participants gain experience in making automatic lock systems. Furthermore, the participants are required to be able to run an automatic security system by designing a security lock using a numeric password until the system is successfully run. The increase in skills and knowledge related to door locks can be seen from the participation of each participant with the successful creation of a door lock system by each group. From the results of the questionnaires that have been filled out by students, 89% stated that they have gained new knowledge related to the manufacture of door lock systems.

Abstract

Generally, pineapple waste such as pineapple peel is not used properly and is considered as garbage that should be thrown away. In fact, from the results of phytochemical tests, pineapple peel contains flavanoid, tannin and saponin compounds and contains compounds that have the potential as anti-bacterial. One of the uses of pineapple peel waste is as the main ingredient in making dish soap. Dish soap produced from processed waste of pineapple peel and lime slices has a fresh aroma and good washing power and is gentle on hands. The purpose of this service is to increase the knowledge of the community of RW 12 Tangkerang Tengah Village in utilizing pineapple skin waste that is widely scattered in Pekanbaru City where pineapple is one of the mainstays of agricultural products produced from Pekanbaru, especially Kualu Nenas Village. With this training, it is hoped that the community can utilize pineapple waste into more useful products and furthermore housewives of RW 12 Tangkerang Tangah Village can make their own dish soap for their own use or for sale.
