Abstract

This study examines the influence of mindful parenting on emotional regulation in early childhood through a systematic literature review of research articles published between 2020 and 2024. The research method employs the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) approach for article selection and screening in Scopus and Google Scholar databases. From an initial 759 articles, 10 met the inclusion criteria and were thematically analyzed. Findings indicate that mindful parenting plays a significant protective role in enhancing children's emotional regulation, reducing parental stress, and improving parent-child interaction quality. Mindful parenting-based interventions and psychometric instruments were also found valid and effective across cultural contexts. This study provides theoretical and practical contributions by strengthening the conceptual framework of mindful parenting and offering culturally relevant directions for intervention development. Its practical implication is the development of mindful parenting-based intervention programs to support family well-being and optimal emotional development in children

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of emotional intelligence and social support on the job satisfaction of teachers in Special Schools (SLB). The analysis was conducted through three stages of construct validity testing and regression analysis. The results indicate an improvement in indicator validity across the stages, although some indicators remained weak and required elimination. Regression analysis showed that emotional intelligence had a strong and significant positive effect on teacher job satisfaction, with a path coefficient of 0.567 and a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). Meanwhile, social support initially showed no significant effect but was later found to be significant in the final hypothesis testing, with a significance value of 0.026 (p < 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.408) indicates that both independent variables jointly explained 40.8% of the variance in job satisfaction, while the remaining variance was influenced by other factors outside the research model. These findings highlight the importance of internal factors, such as emotional intelligence, and external factors, such as social support, in enhancing teacher job satisfaction in special education. The study further emphasizes the balance between personal capabilities and environmental support in shaping positive work attitudes and opens opportunities for future research.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between loneliness and social media addiction tendencies among early adult males (18–25 years old). Additionally, it explores how social media is used as a compensation for unmet social and emotional needs. The research employed a quantitative correlational design with purposive sampling of early adult male participants. The results revealed a strong and significant positive correlation between loneliness and social media addiction (r = 0.635; p < 0.05). These findings indicate that higher levels of loneliness are associated with greater tendencies toward social media addiction. This study reinforces the Need-satisfaction theory and highlights the importance of interventions aimed at reducing loneliness to prevent social media addiction Keywords: early adult males, loneliness, need-satisfaction, social compensation, social media addiction.

Abstract

The effectiveness of rehabilitation programs in correctional facilities depends not only on institutional regulations but also on the psychosocial support received by inmates. This study employed a quantitative correlational design to examine the relationship between social support and prisoners’ compliance in rehabilitation activities at the Class II Padang Penitentiary. The population consisted of 60 inmates participating in NAPZA rehabilitation, and total sampling was used to include all individuals as respondents. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed to determine the association between perceived social support and compliance levels. The results indicate a statistically significant and strong positive relationship between social support and prisoners’ compliance. Inmates who receive higher levels of social support tend to demonstrate greater adherence to rehabilitation programs, reflecting the motivational and behavioral benefits of a supportive social environment. These findings emphasize the crucial role of social support in fostering engagement, commitment, and positive behavioral outcomes in correctional rehabilitation settings. This study provides empirical evidence highlighting social support as a key factor in enhancing the effectiveness of rehabilitation programs. The findings have practical implications for correctional policy and intervention design, suggesting that strengthening social support mechanisms within and beyond the penitentiary can improve inmates’ participation and compliance. Future research is encouraged to explore additional influencing factors and adopt longitudinal approaches to better understand changes in compliance behavior over time.

Abstract

The digital era has transformed how individuals experience romantic relationship dissolution, shifting the mourning process into virtual environments. This study aims to systematically review the dynamics of breakup distress and digital mourning expressions on social media platforms. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method guided by the PRISMA 2020 framework, 126 records were identified, with nine studies published between 2020 and 2024 meeting the inclusion criteria. The findings reveal that social media serves an ambivalent role in the grieving process. While these platforms provide a space for emotional catharsis, identity reconstruction, and communal support, they simultaneously prolong emotional attachment through digital archives and algorithmic reminders. Emerging themes such as digital hauntings, the use of griefbots, and resistance to online mourning practices highlight the complexity of contemporary loss. This study concludes that digital grieving is a non-linear and technologically mediated experience that redefines traditional grief models. These results underscore the necessity for adaptive psychological interventions and enhanced digital literacy to foster healthy relational closure in an increasingly connected world.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship has become one of the primary strategies for promoting economic growth, reducing graduate unemployment, and fostering innovation in developing countries. Nevertheless, many university graduates continue to prefer salaried employment over entrepreneurial careers. Entrepreneurial intention has been widely recognized as the most reliable predictor of entrepreneurial behavior, yet empirical evidence concerning the combined influence of psychological and social determinants among Indonesian university students remains limited. This study aimed to examine the effects of self-efficacy, proactive personality, and social support on entrepreneurial intention among management students enrolled at private universities in Padang City. A quantitative cross-sectional survey design was employed involving 219 respondents selected using cluster sampling techniques. Data were collected through standardized Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 23 after satisfying classical assumption tests. The findings indicate that self-efficacy, proactive personality, and social support positively and significantly influence entrepreneurial intention both individually and simultaneously. The regression model explains 34.4% of the variance in entrepreneurial intention. Self-efficacy emerged as the strongest predictor, followed by social support and proactive personality. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening students' entrepreneurial confidence, proactive characteristics, and supportive social environments through entrepreneurship education. This study contributes empirical evidence supporting the integration of psychological and social dimensions into entrepreneurship development programs within higher education institutions.
