Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of: Role conflict on the performance of employees of the Satpol PP and Fire Department of Kerinci Regency. Workload on the performance of employees of the Satpol PP and Fire Department of Kerinci Regency. Work stress on the performance of employees of the Satpol PP and Fire Department of Kerinci Regency. Role conflict, workload, and work stress jointly on the performance of employees of the Satpol PP and Fire Department of Kerinci Regency. The population for this study comprised all employees of the Civil Service Police Unit and Fire Department of Kerinci Regency, totaling 44 individuals. The sampling technique employed was total sampling (i.e., the entire population), resulting in a sample size of 42 employees. The results of the study indicate that: Role conflict has a negative effect on the performance of Satpol PP and Fire Department employees of Kerinci Regency. Workload has a negative effect on the performance of Satpol PP and Fire Department employees of Kerinci Regency. Work stress has a negative effect on the performance of Satpol PP and Fire Department employees of Kerinci Regency. Together, role conflict, workload, and work stress significantly affect the performance of Satpol PP and Fire Department employees of Kerinci Regency. Based on the conclusions above, the researcher offers the following suggestions: Clear Role Definition Management needs to clarify job descriptions and responsibilities for each employee to avoid overlapping duties. Workload Management Workload should be adjusted according to the capacity and competence of employees. Regular evaluation of workload is essential to prevent excessive fatigue. Work Stress Management Psychological support programs are needed, such as regular counseling, stress management training, and the creation of a comfortable and communicative work environment. Human Resource Development and Regular Training Enhancing employee capacity through regular training will help them manage work pressure and improve the quality of public service delivery. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that affect the success of currency redenomination, focusing on the Indonesian context. The method used was a literature study in which 30 articles related to redenomination were reviewed to understand this topic comprehensively. The study results showed that factors such as inflation rate, risk of redenomination, public understanding, currency changes, and psychographic aspects significantly affected the success of redenomination. The contribution of this research lies in providing an in-depth analysis of the implementation of redenomination in Indonesia and policy recommendations that can aid in successful implementation, as well as providing a broader perspective on the practice of redenomination in various economic contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of content marketing and shopping lifestyle on the purchasing decisions of Shopee users. The research method used is quantitative, employing a survey approach involving 100 active Shopee users as respondents. Data analysis techniques include multiple linear regression to examine the influence of independent variables on the dependent variable.Research results show that, partially, content marketing, shopping lifestyle, and user experience have a significant influence on purchase decisions on the Shopee marketplace—and so do these factors simultaneously. The implications of this research can serve as a reference for e-commerce businesses in designing more effective marketing strategies that align with the characteristics of today’s digital consumers. Suggestions for Shopee: Increase the amount of relevant and engaging content, such as product tutorial videos, live streaming, and influencer reviews to boost consumer interest. Improve the user interface of both the app and website to make them more intuitive, faster, and user-friendly, and ensure that the payment and delivery systems run smoothly. Customize features and promotions according to consumer trends, such as flash sales, shopping gamification, and wishlist features that support both impulsive and routine shopping behaviors.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to examine the purposes and implications of socio-political changes and cultural dynamics in Saudi Arabia under the de facto leadership of Mohammed bin Salman (MBS), particularly through the Vision 2030 reform agenda. The study explores how Vision 2030 reflects the tensions between modernization efforts and enduring political-cultural conservatism within Saudi society. Methodology – Using a qualitative exploratory approach and a descriptive-analytical strategy, the research draws on foreign policy theories by James N. Rosenau and Marijke Breuning to analyze how domestic reform is shaped by both internal dynamics and global pressures. Data were collected through a literature review of credible secondary sources, including official documents, public statements, and academic publications, and analyzed thematically through coding and contextual interpretation. Findings – The study finds that while Vision 2030 promotes social liberalization and national identity reconstruction, the reform process remains tightly governed by political authority and religious conservatism, revealing a sustained tension between progressive change and authoritarian continuity. Conclusion – These developments suggest that the reforms under MBS represent not a democratic transition, but a calculated modernization project that preserves state control while signaling change. Contribution/Novelty – This paper offers a critical perspective on Saudi Arabia's reform era, arguing that Vision 2030 operates as an ideological and hegemonic project, and provides insights into how culture becomes a contested space in authoritarian modernization processes.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to investigate the individual and combined effects of customer experience, ease of use, and e-WOM on user satisfaction with the Wondr application at BNI USU Branch. A causal associative approach this function is used to check the relationship between these variables through quantitative methods. The population of this study includes users of the Wondr application, with a sample of 100 respondents selected using the convenience sampling method. The findings suggest that ease of use and e-WOM significantly and positively influence user satisfaction, both individually and together. The results showed that customer experience had no significant effect on user satisfaction (significance value 0.262 > 0.05), while ease of use and e-WOM had a significant effect. Ease of use (significance value 0.009 < 0.05) and e-WOM (significance value 0.007 < 0.05) are proven to have a positive and significant influence on user satisfaction. Overall, the variables of customer experience, ease of use, and e-WOM together have a significant effect on user satisfaction (significance value 0.000 < 0.05). The determination test result show that the adjusted R Square value 0.573 means that 57,3% of the factors that affect user satisfaction are explained by customer experience, ease of use, and e-WOM, while the remaining 42.7% can be caused by other factors not analyzed in this study.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyelidiki pengaruh efikasi diri, kompetensi manajerial, dan kompetensi kewirausahaan terhadap kinerja Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di Kota Pariaman, dengan mempertimbangkan tantangan dalam proses seleksi dan tata letak bisnis. Pendekatan metode campuran diterapkan, menggabungkan data kuantitatif dari 82 kuesioner skala Likert dan wawasan kualitatif dari wawancara mendalam dengan informan kunci. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa efikasi diri (β = 0,448), kompetensi manajerial (β = 0,403), dan kompetensi kewirausahaan (β = 0,121) memiliki efek positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja UMKM. Model menjelaskan 52,0% dari varians (R² = 0,520). Hasil kualitatif mengungkapkan bahwa efikasi diri terkait dengan proses seleksi informal dan non-keterampilan serta pilihan lokasi yang didorong oleh kedekatan tempat tinggal atau nilai strategis yang dirasakan. Kompetensi manajerial tercermin dalam operasional yang dipimpin oleh pemilik karena kurangnya sistem terstruktur, dengan pengambilan keputusan yang seringkali didasarkan pada intuisi dan kendali mutu yang dipastikan dengan melibatkan masyarakat setempat. Kompetensi kewirausahaan muncul dalam keterampilan digital otodidak yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan pemasaran dan merespons tren pasar. Studi ini menyoroti perlunya perbaikan proses seleksi dan tata letak bisnis, di samping penguatan kompetensi individu, untuk mendorong kinerja UMKM.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive study that aims to analyze the implementation of the Mukomuko Regency Regulation No. 9 of 2019 concerning Livestock Control and obtain an overview of the factors that support and hinder the implementation of the policy using the Edward III model framework (1984). The variables studied consist of communication, resources, disposition and bureaucratic structure. Data collection was carried out using observation methods, in-depth interviews and documentation. Data sources or key informants consist of the Head of Mukomuko City Sub-district, Satpol PP, Head of BMA (Customary Consultative Body), livestock owners, and the Mukomuko City Sub-district Community. Analysis uses the interactive model of Miles and Huberman (1992) and triangulation of sources and methods. This study found that communication factors regarding livestock control policies in Mukomuko District were relatively minimal. Policy dissemination tended to be formal and limited, leaving most livestock owners unaware of the livestock control policies, resulting in minimal understanding, awareness, and compliance with these policies. The lack of resource support, including the number of implementers, their competence, facilities, budget, and incentives, coupled with the implementers' failure to implement sanctions and enforce the law effectively, led to a tendency for the community to ignore the regulations, indicating a low commitment from implementers to implement the policies. Public misunderstanding of the policy, minimal socialization, limited support for resources, budget, facilities and incentives, weak commitment and minimal bureaucratic coordination coupled with public views on the culture of livestock management that impacts economic losses, security, and order further exacerbate the obstacles faced in the implementation of livestock control policies in Mukomuko District, Mukomuko Regency. Therefore, in order to ensure effective implementation, communication innovation and budget support, facilities and incentives as well as community involvement are needed.

Abstract

The issues surrounding the performance of small-scale restaurant businesses in Pariaman City prompted this research, which aims to examine Operational Management (OM) problems integrated with the influence of Knowledge Management (KM), Business Environment (BE), and Entrepreneurial Orientation (EO) on small business performance. This study employs a mixed-method approach, combining quantitative and qualitative research. Data was collected through Likert-scale questionnaires (91 respondents) and interviews with relevant informants. The results indicate that: (KM) has a positive and significant effect on Performance. (BE) has a positive and significant effect on Performance. (EO) has a positive and significant effect on Performance. The R² value of 0.795 for the Performance, the "good" category, indicating that approximately 79.5% of the variance in the dependent variable can be explained by the independent variables in the model. The low knowledge creation indicator in (KM) correlates with the need for supervision in business performance, reflecting that poor knowledge-sharing habits create information gaps among employees, leading to weak compliance with operational procedures. The low competition level indicator in (BE) relates to supervision needs in performance, suggesting that restaurants lack creative initiatives, neglect quality control, and fail to evaluate or innovate, increasing the risk of failure. The low innovation indicator in (EO) ties to supervision needs, indicating that a lack of innovative spirit affects fundamental aspects like hygiene and product quality.

Abstract

This study examines the sale of takjil (iftar snacks) by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) during Ramadan in Indonesia, emphasizing the integration of social, cultural, and religious values in business practices. Using a narrative review method, this research analyzes relevant literature to explore iftar snacks consumption patterns and marketing strategies adopted by MSMEs. Findings indicate that Ramadan is not only a spiritual occasion but also a time of increased social cohesion and economic opportunity. The tradition of iftar snacks stalls, embraced by both Muslims and non-Muslims, reflects local wisdom and a spirit of togetherness. Marketing strategies based on Fear of Missing Out (FOMO), scarcity, and word of mouth have proven effective, particularly through digital platforms. However, many MSMEs still struggle to understand consumer behavior and manage excess inventory. The study concludes that MSME success during Ramadan depends on their ability to present products attractively, build emotional connections with consumers, and implement marketing strategies that are responsive to cultural and social values.

Abstract

Description – The economic concept explains that a person is considered to have perfect information and knowledge before or when consuming a product. However, there is no limit on how much information is known about the product. Purpose – This study identifies individuals before or when making consumption decisions regarding a product. Methodology – Using non-probability sampling and purposive sampling methods, sampling technique with mixed questionnaires (online and offline). Using a sample of 422 respondents spread across several regions and cities in Riau Province, using 44 indicators as a reference for product information answered by respondents. Findings – Individual consumption decisions analyzed with the logit probability of reading, caring and knowing information about instant noodles were 0.7599 or 76 percent. Originality/Novelty – This study shows that the information held by individuals in instant noodle consumption can be identified and its size and quantity. Implications – On the other hand, consumption can occur when individuals do not have any information about a product, due to emergency conditions, individual negligence, or being deceived by producers, so individual caution and the role of the government are needed so that consumers are not harmed.
