Abstract

Global security studies are increasingly paying attention to the role of women in terrorism. For years, women were usually considered only as victims or supporters of terrorism. However, the role of women in terrorist organizations is much more complex. They do many things, from spreading ideology to carrying out acts of violence. There are those who categorize the role of women in terrorist groups based on their ideology, such as in terrorist groups that demand independence or send countries. In these circumstances, women are more likely to be responsible for operational tasks. The aim of this research is to analyze the role of women in terrorist organizations by placing special emphasis on gender dynamics in relation to ideology and acts of violence. The data collection method is descriptive qualitative, and literature study is used as the data collection method. The results of the analysis show that the role of women in terrorist organizations is not only as ordinary supporters, but also directly involved in violence and the spread of ideology. Often, women are used to carry out acts of terror, both as main agents and as support crew. Women play an important role in maintaining and spreading the ideology of terrorism in an ideological context. They assist in recruiting new members and engage in radicalization and indoctrination processes.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the effect of halal tourism attributes, halal tourism awareness, and social media use on travel interest. Data analysis was conducted using regression techniques to assess the relationship between the independent variables (halal tourism attributes, halal tourism awareness, and social media) with the dependent variable (travel interest) using the GSCA Pro application. The results showed that halal tourism attributes and social media usage significantly influenced travel interest. However, halal tourism awareness was not found to have a significant effect on travel interest. This suggests that, although there is an increasing awareness of halal tourism, this factor may not be the main one in influencing tourists' decision to choose a halal tourism destination.

This study was conducted using a quantitative method by analyzing the data collected from an online questionnaire distributed to 403 respondents. The analysis model used in this research is structural equation modeling (SEM-PLS) with data processing tools with Smart PLS 4. The results showed that there was a positive and significant effect between students’ motivation to learn, social interaction, teacher-student communication and technology readiness towards learning performance during hybrid learning. As for the results of the moderating effect of level of education, there was no significant difference between students’ motivation to learn and technology readiness towards learning performance between Junior High and Senior High students, but there was a significant difference between social interaction and teacher-student communication towards learning performance between Junior High and Senior High students. Further research should be conducted to investigate the impact of these variables on learning performance using different methods such as PLS-MGA, qualitative methods, or mixed methods.
