Abstract

The cooperative learning model type group investigation based on observations of physical symptoms is one model that can improve learning outcomes and developing science process skills of students in science subjects. This research aims to reviewing the difference in students learning outcomes that are taught using the cooperative learning model type group investigation based on observations of physical symptoms with the students taught using direct learning model that usually taught by a teacher in junior high school and describe the students learning science process skills after using the cooperative learning model type group investigation based on observations of physical symptom. This type of research is an experimental research conducted at the country junior high school 7 Jember. Source of data derived from the assessment by the observer, post-test, and filling the questionnaire. Based on the research that has been conducted, the obtained 1) t test assessment results obtained sig. 0.001 ≤0.05 so that Ha accepted and Ho rejected, it means there is a significant difference between the students taught by the cooperative learning model type group investigation based on observations of physical symptom with students taught using direct learning model commonly taught by teacher in junior high school 2) The avarage results of students learning science process skills in each indikator that is 90,33%. Means the learning science process skills of students while using the cooperative learning model type group investigation based on observations of physical symptom included in the category good

Abstract

This article was the result of research of the influence POE (Prediction, Observation, Explanation) model to cognitive physics learning achievement and science process skills of students in physics learning at MAN. The purposes of the research were to study the influence of model to cognitive physics learning achievement and science process skills of students. This research was conducted in MAN 2 Jember. This type of research was experimental by post-test only control design. The population in this study were students of class X at MAN 2 Jember of Academic Year 2016/2017. Samples were taken with cluster random sampling, X IPA 2 selected as esperiment class and X IPA 4 selected as control class. The techniques of data collection were test, observation, interviews and documentation. The technique of data analysis used Independent Sample T-Test (SPSS 22). The results were obtained significance value of 0,000 for cognitive physics learning achievement of students and 0,0235 for science process skills of students. It can be concluded that model of POE (Prediction, Observation, Explanation) influence to cognitive learning achievement and science process skills of students. Abstract

AbstractThis research was a development research to produce a development productin the form of scientific based module to train critical thinking ability. 4D was used tobe the development model consisting of 4 stages, but in this research only on untilthird stage that defined, design, and develop. Instrument used in this research wasvalidation sheet, student response questionnaire, and critical thinking ability test.Based on the results of expert validation analysis found that the validity criterion of88.19%, which was at the validity level was very valid and the result of user validationanalysis was known that the validity criteria obtained is 100% and the validity levelwas very valid. The result of pretest and posttest analysis showed that the average NGain score is 0.53 which was in the medium category. Then for the student responseof scientific-based module got a positive response of 88.68%. So the scientific-basedmodule had very practical criteria used in learning.Key word: scientific, validation, student respon, critical thinking.

Abstract

AbstractThis research described students error and identify the cause of the students make mistakes in solving physics problems on static electrocity. Subjects in this study were 85 students of tweleveth grade on Islamic Senior High School 6 Jombang at 2017/2018 academic period. Interviews are conducted to eight students who became a representative of each error to determine the causes of students error. The results of students error identification on the subjects, among others; translation error amounted to 42,88% which indicates that percentage of translation error include medium error category, concept error amounted to 54,51% which indicates that percentage of concept error include medium error category, strategy error amounted to 15,88% which indicates that percentage of strategy error include low error category, and arithmetic error amounted to 1,76% which indicates that percentage of arithmetic error include very low error category. The cause of the error is identified, among others; students are not accustomed to write things that are known and asked questions, students do not know the purpose of the problem, students are accustomed to answer the question of physics without converting to SI units, students do not know the formula to be used, students are a hurry to do the work, and students are not careful when answered the questions.Key Words: arithmetic error, concept error, strategy error, translation error, static electrocity

Abstract

AbstractInterest in learning was one of the factors that affected student learningoutcomes. Physical learning in the form of products, processes and scientificattitude required skills that process on the scientific performance called the scienceprocess skills. Project-based learning presents learning in the form of scientificprocesses and attitudes that could foster students' learning motivation. This researchwas an experimental research. The purpose of this research was to examine theeffect of project based learning model on learning interest and students' scienceprocess skill in physics learning at SMAN Balung. Data of student's interest inphysics learning was obtained from questionnaire and data of science process skillobtained from post test and there were supporting data in the form ofdocumentation, interview, and observation. The result of the independent sample ttest on the interest of physics learning showed the interest of experimental classphysics learning better than the control class. While the results of mann-whitney teston the science process students 'skills showed the students' experimental classscience process skills better than the control class. Based on the analysis it could beconcluded that the project based learning model had a significant effected on thestudents' learning interest and science process skills on physics learning at SMANBalung.Keyword: interest, project based learning model, science process skill

Abstract

This research was the development research to produce science SWS(Students Work Sheet) based CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) that willimprove collaborative skills of students on the subject of elasticity and Hooke’s lawthat aims to: 1) validation SWS based CTL, 2) result of collaborative skills, 3) resultof learning activities. The research design was the design of 4-D model (define,design, develop, and destiminate) by Thiagarajan, Semmel and Semmel (1974)which modified into 3-D, 4-D model which is limited only at development stage. Thedestiminate stage is not implemented due to limited time and cost. The results of thisresearch were: validation SWS (Student Work Sheet) physics based on CTL(Contextual Teaching and Learning) reached 75,62%, with a valid category; resultof collaborative skills reached 84.93% with a very effective category; and result oflearning activities reached 91.18% so classified very practial.Keywords: SWS (Students Work Sheet), CTL, collaborative skills

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research was to describe the misconception that studentsuse a Four-Tier Diagnostic Test on the material laws of thermodynamics inBondowoso High School. The population in this research is the entire class XI inSMAN 1 Tenggarang, SMAN 3 Bondowoso, and SMAN 1 Pujer. The selected samplesfor research was a class of XI MIPA2 SMAN 1 Tenggarang, XI MIPA2 SMAN 3Bondowoso, and XI MIPA1 SMAN 1 Pujer which is selected using the method ofpurposive sampling area. Data collection methods used in this research is a methodof documentation, tests, and interviews. The instruments used multiple choicediagnostic test shaped four levels and guidelines for interviews. Based on the resultsof data analysis and discussion can be known that overall misconception that studentson the subject of laws of thermodynamics in SMA Bondowoso of 28.04% so thisqualifies a misconception to low levels.Keywords: Misconception, Four-Tier Diagnostic Test, Laws Of Thermodynamics

Abstract

Effect of Solution Concentration Solution Temperature Rise Against The pace of research that observing and measuring about concentration and the rate of temperature rise of the solution. A liquid will boil when the molecules gain enough energy to liberate themselves from fellow molecule that then turns into steam. When other substances dissolved in water, the substance of these substances will be particles, which later these particles would bind particles of water and escaping into vapor, in other words, the water molecules will require higher energy to boil. The time it takes to boil the solution varies depending on the size and type of solute concentration. This study aimed to investigate the relationship concentration versus time solution temperature increases 50o C, and assess the effect of concentration versus time solution temperature increases 50o C. Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of guided inquiry learningmodel on the student cognitive learning outcomes of high school students on work andenergy subject. This research was used experimental method with designnonequivalent control group design. The population were all students of X class ofMIPA in SMA Negeri 4 Jember. The sample was obtained by purposive sampling areatechnique were X MIPA 5 as experiment class and X MIPA 3 as control class. Thedata was collected based on the student cognitive learning outcomes through pre-testand post-test scores. The data were analyzed using Independent Sample T-Test. Theresult showed that guided inquiry learning model with PhET Simulations has nosignificant effect on the student cognitive learning outcomes of high school students. Abstract

Science process skills are important for student as preparation and practice in facing the reality of life in society, students are trained to think logically in solving a problem. The purpose of this study was to analyze integrated science process skills in students of SMK Negeri 5 Jember class X material temperature and heat. The type of research used is descriptive research with a sample of 130 students in class X APH 1, X APH 2, X APL 2, and X TKJ 1 in SMK Negeri 5 Jember. Result of research indicate that integrated process skill at class X APH 1 included in category less with percentage average 59,13%, class X APH 2 included in category enough with presentation average 73,53%, class X APL 2 included in category enough with an average percentage of 67.53%, and class X TKJ 1 included in the category enough with an average percentage of 68.08%. the overall average is 68.08% included in the category enough. It can be generally known that the skill of the integrated science process of students of SMK Negeri 5 jember class X temperature and heat materials are included on sufficient criteria.Keywords: integrated science process skills, temperature, heat
