Abstract

ABSTRACTOne of the goals of learning physics in schools is to improve students' criticalthinking skill. Critical thinking ability is the ability of the students in the process ofthinking in solving a problem in detail. By knowing the level of critical thinking it self,students can do introspection and have the desire and motivation to change for thebetter. In addition, students can also prepare for future exams such as nationalexamination as well as college entrance exam. As for the teacher, by knowing the levelof critical thinking skill of the students, the physics teachers can make it as a referenceto determine the learning strategy that will be used next. Therefore, it is necessary toidentify the level of critical thinking ability. The research method used is descriptiveresearch. The subjects of the study were students of grade XI IPA SMA. The datacollection method used is a test of description. The results of the study showed thatthe level of critical thinking ability of 18.63% of students were on a very highcategory, 42.16% of students were on a high category, 29.41% of students were in thecategory medium, 9.80% of students were on a low category, and no students were invery low category.Keywords: Physics, fluid dynamic, critical thinking

Abstract

This article reported the result of an experimental research about the effect of POE (Predict-Observe-Explain) with Vee diagram on the straight motion learning at tenth grade SMA Negeri Pakusari in 2016/2017 academic year. The objectives of this research were to describe the learning activities during POE learning model with Vee diagram and to know the effect of POE learning model with Vee diagram to the cognitive learning outcomes in straight motion learning. The design of this research was post test only control group design. The data of the learning activities was collected by using observation and portfolio. Based on the data, the average of the learning activities was 71,37% which means active. The data of the cognitive learning outcomes in straight motion was collected by using post test. Then, the data collected was analyzed by using independent sample t-test (SPSS 20). The difference of the achievement between experiment class and control class is done by obtained significant value of 0.012. It means the result of this research proved that the use of POE learning model with Vee diagram significantly affected the cognitive learning outcomes at tenth grade SMA Negeri Pakusari. Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk pengaruh LKS dengan strategi inkuiri terbimbing berbasis penalaranterhadap keterampilan pengambilan keputusan siswa SMA pada materi energi terbarukan. Penelitianini merujuk pada model pengembangan Kemp. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XII.Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik pengamatan, dokumentasi, angket, dan wawancara.Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analiss N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwaLKS dengan strategi inkuiri terbimbing berbasis penalaran dapat meningkatkan keterampilanpengambilan keputusan siswa SMA pada materi energi terbarukan.Kata Kunci: LKS, strategi inkuiri terbimbing berbasis penalaran, dan keterampilan pengambilankeputusan

Abstract

The research focused on the assembling of Concept Attainment models with Concept Mapping technique is students’ physics achievement and students’ activity. The purposes of this research are (1) to examine the difference achievement of using Concept Attainment models with Concept Mapping technique than Conventional models on learning physics, (2) to describe students’ activity using Concept Attainment models with Concept Mapping technique model in learning physic. The type of this research is experiment by using post-test only control group design. Sample of the research are X MIA 1 as an experiment class and X MIPA 2 as an control class.The techniques of data collection are observation, test,documentation, interview and portofolio. The techniques of data analysis using descriptive analysis and Independent Sample T-Test by SPSS 16 version. The result of the research are (1) students’ physics achievement acquired of analytical results Independent-Sample T-test Sig. (2-tailed) of 0,038, (2)average value students’ science activity is 83,9%. The research can be concluded that (1) there are significant difference of achievement of using Concept Attainment models with Concept Mapping technique than Conventional models on learning physics, (2) the student activity is in good criteria.

Abstract

The aimed of this research was to study the influence of think pair share model with guided note taking metode through the activity of student's and the student result in kognitif learning physics. The activity in this case was student activities during the learning process and the learning outcomes in learning physics. This research was experiment research. the research was in SMA Negeri Rambipuji. The data are collected by test, observation, interview, and documentation. to examined the hypothesis, this research used independent sample t-test using SPSS 22 . According to independent sample t-test analysis in the students activity , show that H0 is rejected, it mean that the students activity of experiment class was different with control class. The result of independent sample t-test analysis in the learning outcomes showed that H0 is rejected, it mean that the student result of experiment class was different with control class. and the kognitif learning outcomes learning physics, showed that H0 is rejected, it mean that the student activity of experiment class is different with control class. The conclusion was the think pair share model with guided note taking methode has an significance influential to the activity of student’s and the cognitive learning outcomes SMA Negeri Rambipuji. Abstract

AbstractScience module based on local wisdom of coffee was an alternative on developlearning tools by integrating local wisdom into science materials. This research wasa development research using Plomp development model that was adjusted into 4phases. The purposes of this research were to describe the validity of science modulebased on local wisdom of coffee, effectiveness and student's response. Theeffectiveness of science module was calculated from aspects of cognitive learningresult and student learning acitivities. The data collection methods were validation,test, observation, questionnaire and documentation. Science module based on localwisdom of coffee on material work and energy in Junior High School was valid withfinal validation result 4.39. Field trials were conducted in class VIIIA Argopuro 2Suci Junior High School with total of 39 students. The result of classical learningachievement was 82.05% and total percentage of student learning activity was84.33% with very active category. Both values indicate that science modules basedon local wisdom of coffee on material work and energy in Junior High School effectivewere viewed from aspects of learning result and student learning activities. Thenstudent's response got very good response with percentage of response was 84.62%.Keywords: Science module, local wisdom, validity, effectiveness, student’s response

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to analyze video of physics phenomenon on matter of momentum-impuls by using tracker software and then used as design of teaching material of momentum-impuls in increasing student critical thinking skills of senior high school at class X. This research type was research of descriptive analysis. The result of video analysis of physics phenomenon with tracker software prove there were 3 types of collision that were elastic collision, unelastic collision, and perfectly unelastic collision based on conservation of momentum, conservation of kinetic energy, and magnitude of restitution coefficients value. The magnitude of impuls equal to . Abstract

This article concentrated about the result of an experimental research about the effect of GI-GI (Group Investigation-Guided Inquiry) on the tenth grade students’ straight motion learning at SMA Negeri Rambipuji year 2016/2017. The aims of this research were to describe the students’ physics learning activities, to describe the learning effectiveness, and to study the effect of the model on the students’ physics learning achievement in straight motion learning. The design of this research was true experiment with post test only control group design. The respondent of the research was chosen by using cluster random sampling. This research was conducted to X MIPA 1 as an experiment class and X MIPA 3 as a control class. The techniques and instruments of data collection on this research were documentation, observation, achievement test (post-test), and interviews. The data of the students’ activities were collected by using observation and documentation. Based on the data, the average of the students’ activity in learning physic was 93% which means very good. The data of the learning effectiveness was collected by calculating the result of post-test by using ER (Efektifitas Relatif) formula. The result of the calculation got 33% which means fair. In addition, the data of the students’ achievement in learning straight motion by using the model was collected by using posttest. Then, the data collected was analyzed by using independent sample t-test (SPSS 22). The difference of the achievement between experiment class and control class is done by testing hypotheses two parties and obtained significant value of 0.000 < 0.05, then H0 rejected and Ha accepted. It means the results of this research were the students’ physics learning activities by using GI-GI models categorized as very active, the learning effectiveness of GI-GI models on straight motion learning categorized as fair, and it’s proved that the use of GI-GI significantly affected the tenth grade students’ straight motion achievement at SMA Negeri Rambipuji. Abstract

This research aimed to study the effect of Generatif learning model onstudents result of study and students science process skills . This type of researchwas experimental research by one group pretest-posttest design. This research wasconducted in SMAN Tempeh. Population in this study were students of class XI atSMAN Tempeh 2016/2017. Samples were taken with cluster random sampling, XIIPA 4 as an sample class. The techniques of data collection were observation,interviews, documentation, portfolios, and testing. The technique of data analysisused independent sample t-test. The results of this analysis were obtainedsignificance value of 0,000 for students result of study and students science processskills is on very good criteria. Abstract

ABSTRACT Education plays a role and a very important factor in human life. Since formaleducation applies new curriculum which is curriculum 2013, it causes the students tohave less capability to make the argumentations toward the learning material. Thefacts on the real situation show that the ability to make argumentations about thesubject of physics on the concept of thermodynamics among students is still very low.So a scientific argument test is needed to find out how well the students’ understandingof physics material. Furthermore, by looking at how the students make theargumentations related to thermodynamic material, it will make the teacherunderstands the level students’ understanding of thermodynamic material. The resultof data analysis and discussion concluded that the percentage of of the level ofstudents’ scientific argumentation ability on the concept of thermodynamics in SMAX has the highest average of 41.60% based on indicator of argumentation’s proofwhich reaches the High criterion (T) and the highest average level of 51.96% basedon indicator of argumentation’s justification which meets the Medium criteria (S).
