Abstract

The learning model which always used by the teacher was direct learning model with teacher centered characteristic, nowdays the learning model which was more suggested was student centered learning model which centered to the students such as Problem Based Learning (PBL). The choosing of the right model, should considered the students psychology condition such as learning motivation which encouraged the learning process, so the learning result could be maximal. The research was Queasy Experiment which involved two classes XI IPA which consisted of 36 students with factorial design 2 x 3. The data was obtained through learning motivation questionnaire and learning result test which analyzed by using SPSS 21 application through Two Way Anova test with mistake level 5% (α = 0,05). The result of research showed that (i) there was a difference of the students’ learning result after being taught by using PBL and direct learning model; (ii) there was no difference of learning result of the students who had high, medium and low motivation; and (iii) there was a difference of learning result of the students who had high, medium and low motivation after taught by using PBL model and direct learning model.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian ex-post facto yang bertujuan untuk menentukan hubungan antara literasi sains dengan prestasi belajar peserta didik pada pembelajaran kimia kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri Se-Kota Makassar tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Populasi penelitian sebanyak 1734 peserta didik dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 391 peserta didik. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan proportionate stratified random sampling. Pengambilan data penelitian menggunakan instrumen tes literasi sains dan data prestasi belajar peserta didik berupa nilai rapor mata pelajaran kimia semester genap tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Data penelitian menggunakan analisis korelasi Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi sains memiliki hubungan positif dengan prestasi belajar peserta didik dengan tingkat korelasi sedang. Kata kunci  : literasi sains, prestasi belajar.   ABSTRACTThe study is ex-post factor research, which aims to determining the correlation between scientific literacy toward students’ learning achievement on chemistry learning of grade XI MIPA at SMAN (public senior high schools) in Makassar of academic year 2017/2018. The Population of the study were 1734 students and the samples were 391 students obtained by employing proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Data were collected using instruments of scientific literacy test, and sata of students’ learning achievement was obtained from report score of Chemistry subject of academic year 2017/2018. Data were analyzed by using Pearson correlationanalysis and multiple regression analysis. The result of the study reveal that the scientific literacy has positive correlation toward students’ learning achievement with correlation. Keywords: scientific literacy, learning achievement.

Abstract

This study is a development research which aims at developing CBS (Card Brain Scramble) game media on chemistry bond material to improve cognitive reflective style and learning outcomes which are valid, practical and effective to be applied. The development model used in this study referred to Hannafin and Peck’s development model, which consisted of several stages, namely need analysis stage, design making stage, development stage, and implementation stage. The learning media developed is CBS game media, then validated by two experts. After the validation, the tried out was conducted on the media which was conducted at MAN 3 Makassar in grade X MIPA with the total of 30 students. The results of the study reveal that the CBS game media which had been developed and validated indicate that the mean score is 3.65 with valid criteria. The CBS game media is stated as practical and effective because the practical test based on students' response on the utilization of CBS game media obtains 82.84% with the mean score of 3.31 which is in high level. The CBS game media also meets the effective criteria with the following results: (1) the improvement of cognitive reflective style of students is from 70.88% to 80.27%, (2) the learning outcomes meet the effective criteria which obtains from the mean score of  61% to 80.16%, whereas, the improvement of learning outcomes based on N-gain test is  0.49 which is moderate criteria. Therefore, the result of the study shows that the product of CBS game media developed is categorized as valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

Online learning in E-learning Media in Covid-19 conditions involving lecturers as educators and students as educators has an important role in improving student learning outcomes.  The purpose of this study was to find out the influence of E-learning based on LMS Moodle and Motivation to Learn partially and simultaneously on student learning outcomes. This type of research is a mix method that integrates quantitative and qualitative research with sequential explanatory forms. The data collection techniques used are questionnaires or questionnaires and interviews. The instruments used are questionnaire sheets and interviews that are used to collect the data needed. The sample from this study was 75 accounting students. The data analysis used is inferential analysis with Classical Assumption Test (Normality Test and Linearity Test) and Multiple Regression Analysis with partial t test and simultaneous F test. The results showed that there was an influence of LMS Moodle-based E-learning Media, Partial and simultaneous Learning Motivation on student learning outcomes which was indicated by a significant value smaller than 0.05 and the large influence of both variables on dependent variables of 60.6%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 8 Mandai materi pokok larutan penyangga. Desain penelitian Pretest treatment Postest Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 8 Mandai tahun pelajaran 2017/2018 yang berjumlah 4 kelas. Penentuan sampel dilakukan secara random kelas dan terpilih kelas XI MIPA 1 sebagai kelas yang dibelajarkan model pembelajaran discovery learning dan kelas XI MIPA 2 sebagai kelas yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran langsung. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan uji independent sample T-Test. Hasil analisis deskriptif diperoleh data rata-rata nilai N-gain keterampilan berpikir kritis pada kelompok model pembelajaran discovery learning sebesar 0,67 dengan kategori sedang dan kelompok model pembelajaran langsung sebesar 0.55 dengan kategori sedang. Nilai N-gain hasil belajar pada kelompok model pembelajaran discovery learning sebesar 0,76 dengan kategori tinggi dan kelompok model pembelajaran langsung sebesar 0.66 dengan kategori sedang. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 8 Mandai pada materi pokok larutan penyangga. Kata kunci: Model pembelajaran, keterampilan berpikir kritis, hasil belajar, dan larutan penyangga.

Abstract

The study is quasi experiment research, which aims at examining the extend of the influence of practicum based on natural ingredients through discovery learning model on motivation and learning outcomes in UPT SMAN 9 Maros in Marusu subdistrict in Maros distric of academic year 2018/2019. The total of research population was 143 students with the samples 71 students. Sampling determining technique employed random sampling. Data were collected by using instruments with questionnaire and test. Data were analyzed by using SPSS software. The results of the study reveal (1) the practicum based on natural ingredients through discovery learning model gave positive on chemistry learning motivation in UPT SMAN 9 Maros with the mean percentage of 67.99%, which is in high category, (2) the practicum based on natural ingredients through discovery learning model gave improvement of chemistry learning outcomes in UPT SMAN 9 Maros with the mean percentage of 75.35%, which is in high category. (3) there is significant and positive correlation between motivation and chemistry learning outcomes in UPT SMAN 9 Maros with correlation analysis value of 0.661.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze students' misconceptions using a three-tier diagnostic test on acid-base material. The type of research used in this study is descriptive research. This research was conducted at SMAN 1 Mamuju to grade XI MIPA students. Data collection techniques employed diagnostic test in the form of multiple-choice stratified. The first level contained the students' answers, the second level was the reason for the answers, and the last level was the level of confidence. Data analysis was conducted by looking for the percentage of misconceptions from each concept in Acid-Base materials, namely the concept of acid-base theory, pH indicators of acid-base solutions, strength of acids and bases, and calculation of pH of acid and base solutions. The results show that the category of students' misconceptions on acid-base materials using the three-tier diagnostic test instrument is the M1 category. In this category, students answered incorrectly at the first and second levels but were sure that the answers at both levels were correct. The percentage obtained in the M1 category is 33.87% with moderate category. Students' misconceptions occur in the concept of acid-base theory according to Bronsted Lowry with a percentage of 70.33% in item 4 and 73.08% in item 18. The concept of pH indicator of acid-base solutions with a percentage of 73.08% in item number 9 while for the concept of the strength of acids and bases with a percentage of 76.36% in item 9. For the concept of calculating the pH of an acid-base solutions, 3 items are obtained that fall into the category of high misconceptions, namely item 14 with a percentage of 83.52%; item 16 with a percentage of 82.42%; and 20 items with a percentage of 78.02%. The causes of misconceptions in students are due to the incomplete reasoning, students' abilities, students' interest in learning, and teacher’s teaching methods.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan menghasilkan bahan ajar elektronik Science Flashbook mata pelajaran IPA. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model pengembangan Plomp yang terdiri dari lima fase yaitu fase investigasi awal, fase desain, fase realisasi/konstruksi, fase tes, evaluasi dan revisi, dan fase implementasi. Subjek uji coba produk pengembangan ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMPIT Al Biruni Makassar dengan jumlah peserta didik 20 orang. Dalam penelitian ini, teknik pengumpulan data untuk mengukur kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan yang digunakan adalah angket respon, lembar validasi, lembar pengamatan, dan lembar tes belajar. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan semua item dan aspek yang diukur yaitu penilaian kevalidan media memperoleh kriteria valid dengan nilai rata-rata 3,83, penilaian kepraktisan media adalah praktis dengan persentase 93,75% pada total kriteria “Sangat Setuju” dan “Setuju”. Hasil belajar peserta didik adalah 80% dan 8 aktivitas yang diamati terlaksana dengan baik. Hasil tersebut menujukkan bahwa bahan ajar elektronik Science Flashbook mata pelajaran yang dikembangkan memiliki kategori valid, praktis dan efektif, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahan ajar elektronik Science Flashbook mata pelajaran IPA yang dihasilkan layak dijadikan sebagai media dan sumber pembelajaran. Kata kunci  : pengembangan, bahan ajar elektronik, IPA, partikel, plomp   ABSTRACTThis research is about to develop and product the electronic teaching science book. The development research using development model of Plomp which consist of five phases, they are investigation, design, realization/construction, test, evaluation and revision, and implementation. Subject test for development product is 8th Grade student of Islamic Junior High School Al Biruni Makassar which consist of 20 students. Data were collected by measuring validity, practices, and effectivity using questionnaire, validity sheet, observation sheet, and evaluating sheet. Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics analysis. The results of the study reveal all of the items and the aspects measured are the assessment of media validity obtained valid criteria with value 3,83, the assessment of media practicality was practical with percentage 93,75 int total of “Very Agree” and “Agree”. The result of student test was 80% and 8 activity that observed were achieved. The result indicates that Science Flashbook conducted was valid, practical, and effective. The conclusion is the development of Science Flashbook as electronic teaching science book is feasible as learning media and learning sources. Keywords: development, electronic learning material, science, particle, plomp.

Abstract

This study aims to increase the learning motivation of students in studying the subject matter of chemical equilibrium. Therefore, we developed learning application based smartphone in a problem-based learning model that called ChemOnPhone which is valid, practical and effective to use. To achieve this aim, we followed the Hannafin and Peck's model development phases: analysis, design, development and implementation. The ChemOnPhone we built had been through validation processes by an educational media and a subject content experts. We then revised the app accordingly by considering these expert reviews until the app considered as valid.  To evaluate the practicality and the effectiveness of the app, we then tried it out to Year XI Science students of SMAN 2 Sidrap. The results of media validation and trial showed that: (1) the media was very valid (marked 3.93 out of 4), (2) the content was valid (marked 3.01 out of 4). ChemOnPhone was also considered practical and effective based on (1) The implementation was graded as effective (M = 1.85, 1.5 ≤ M ≤ 2.0), (2) The approval rate was 97.2% and 86.4% by teachers and students, accordingly. ChemOnPhone has met the effective criteria as (1) students learning motivation improved from 60.9% out of 84.4%, (2) students learning activity was averagely 87.5%, which met the active criterion, and (3) the average learning results achieved was 88.4% out of 100%, which pass the effective criteria of ≥ 80%. Overall, ChemOnPhone was valid, practical and effective to use in learning the chemical equilibrium subject.

Abstract

Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan desain quasi eksperiment yang berbentuk pretest-postest control group design. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui; (i) perbedaan motivasi belajar kimia peserta didik yang dibelajarkan menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis Macromedia Flash 8 pada model pembelajaran kooperatif melalui pendekatan saintifik dengan peserta didik yang dibelajarkan tanpa menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis Macromedia Flash 8 di kelas X SMAK Makassar pada materi pokok laju reaksi; (ii) perbedaan hasil belajar kimia peserta didik yang dibelajarkan menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis Macromedia Flash 8 pada model pembelajaran kooperatif melalui pendekatan saintifik dengan peserta didik yang dibelajarkan tanpa menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis Macromedia Flash 8 di kelas X SMAK Makassar pada materi pokok laju reaksi. Teknik analisis data yang dilakukan adalah analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis uji prasyarat yang terdiri dari uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Pengujian hipotesis dihitung menggunakan program SPSS 22 dengan analisis One-way Anova dengan kriteria pengujian: terima H1  jika signifikansi (p) yang diperoleh lebih besar dari α = 0,05. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa; (i) ada perbedaan motivasi belajar peserta didik yang dibelajarkan menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis Macromedia Flash 8 pada model pembelajaran kooperatif melalui pendekatan saintifik dengan peserta didik yang dibelajarkan tanpa menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis Macromedia Flash 8 di kelas X SMAK Makassar pada materi pokok laju reaksi; (ii) ada perbedaan hasil belajar peserta didik yang dibelajarkan menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis Macromedia Flash 8 pada model pembelajaran kooperatif melalui pendekatan saintifik dengan peserta didik yang dibelajarkan tanpa menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis Macromedia Flash 8 di kelas X SMAK Makassar pada materi pokok laju reaksi. Kata kunci: Macromedia Flash 8, Kooperatif, Saintifik, Motivasi Belajar, Hasil Belajar.
