Abstract

Social media was designed with the aim of expanding human social interaction using the internet and web technology. The large amount of information available in the public media gives rise to a variety of different opinions. To find out public sentiment on an exclusive topic, sentiment analysis can be carried out by collecting opinion data according to social media users. Therefore, Nusa Mandiri University carries out Community Service in the form of a Social Media Workshop Series: Retrieving Data from Twitter Social Media for JPRMI DKI Jakarta. The method used in this Community Service activity is in the form of interactive training in conveying theory, while the practical method uses simulation and question and answer methods. With this training, JPRMI DKI Jakarta members can help process and display data sourced from social media.

Abstract

Indonesian citizen workers who are members of Pertubuhan Masyarakat Indonesia (PERMAI) in Pulau Pinang Malaysia, which is the object of this community service activity, needs to be equipped with an understanding of how to managing finance properly and correctly as well as how to evaluate financial management. In this way, it is hoped that the participants will be able to improve their standard of living and have sufficient savings for their future. For this reason, the Community Service team from Mercu Buana University Jakarta held Community Service activities. This activity will be carried out offline by making direct visits to Indonesian citizens who are members of the Pertubuhan Masyarakat Indonesia (PERMAI) in Pulau Pinang, Malaysia. Abstract

The unpleasantness of tourists visiting a tourist destination can be caused by the cleanliness of the tourist destination area that is sometime ignored by the caretakers. Tourist destinations that are not kept clean can also cause diseases. Tourist destination managers play an important role in recreating a clean tourist destination. This community service activity was carried out to improve the knowledge of tourism awareness groups that operate tourist destinations in Klungkung Regency. This activity was carried out using course, discussion as well as workshop methods. After the course, the knowledge about the management and application of cleanliness in tourist destinations has showed some improvement. Through this activity, it is hoped that the partners can implement cleanliness in tourist destinations and give contribution to the increase of tourists visiting the tourist destinations.

Abstract

On July 15, 2024, a community service activity was held in Kampung Dadap Timur with the topic "Training for Enhancing the Capacity of MSMEs and Tourism." The primary goal of this activity was to improve the skills and capacity of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and tourism destination management in the area. Initial observations identified fundamental needs in MSME management, budgeting for traditional food businesses, and applying the Sapta Pesona tourism concept. These findings served as the basis for designing relevant and targeted training materials. Preparations for the activity included intensive coordination among the service team to ensure the readiness of materials and equipment. Preparations also involved selecting and setting up the training venue, including audiovisual facilities and printed materials. The training covered: (1) MSME management strategies, including business planning, marketing, and product development; (2) budgeting techniques for traditional food MSMEs, including cost estimation, financial management, and pricing strategies; (3) application of the Sapta Pesona concept in tourism to enhance the quality of tourist experiences; and (4) practical sessions teaching how to make chicken dumplings and Es Kuwut. The training was designed to provide practical skills and in-depth knowledge to participants. Evaluation of the activity indicated that the training had a significant positive impact. Participants felt more confident and prepared in managing their businesses and tourism. However, the evaluation also identified some challenges, including the need for more specific case studies and ongoing support. It is recommended that future activities include follow-up sessions and more diverse training materials.

Abstract

Kegiatan keagamaan merupakan hal yang sangat penting untuk dilakukan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Optimalisasi antusiasme masyarakat dalam kegiatan keagamaan islam di Desa Walahar Kecamatan Gempol Kabupaten Cirebon dianggap penting karena masyarakat Desa Walahar memiliki banyak agenda rutin keagamaan islam. Kegiatan keagamaan islam yang dilakukan di Desa Walahar yaitu pengajian, pembacaan surat Yaasin dan tahlil, hadiyyuan, marhabanan, maupun kegiatan keagamaan islam lainnya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode studi lapangan (field research). Optimalisasi antusiasme masyarakat dalam mengikuti kegiatan keagamaan islam di Desa Walahar Kecamatan Gempol Kabupaten Cirebon dilakukan melalui berbagai upaya yaitu sosialisasi yang efektif, melibatkan masyarakat setempat, menyediakan fasilitas yang nyaman, mengundang pembicara yang inspiratif, mengadakan kegiatan sosial dan kebersamaan, dan melakukan evaluasi. Abstract

This community service aims to increase the turnover of MSME Laundry players, especially Aspact Laundry Partners. First, with the development of digital-based automatic washing machines, the aim is to bring innovation to the laundry industry, introducing modern technology to improve efficiency and service quality.   This washing machine offers ease of use, better control, and the ability to wash more laundry with better results. With a size suitable for various sizes of laundry businesses, this washing machine can increase productivity and enable entrepreneurs to manage their operations more effectively. Apart from that, training was also held on financial reports and digital marketing to expand the market and in turn increase turnover. It is hoped that the implementation of these digital-based automatic washing machines will provide significant benefits to target partners, helping them to compete in an increasingly competitive market and increasing their customer satisfaction.

Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to empower women in Kampung Sawah Dalam, Kota Tangerang, through training in the field of food and beverage (F&B). This program supports the development of home-based businesses while fostering the growth of the local community economy. The materials covered include production techniques, packaging, product labeling, marketing strategies, and basic English training. The event was held on Friday, October 18, 2024, and was attended by 46 enthusiastic participants. The activity began with a preparation phase, including discussions with the neighborhood head to identify the specific needs of the participants. In the training sessions, participants received materials on tourism introduction, demonstrations on making appetizers and beverages, as well as training in marketing and English. During practice sessions, participants made canapés and fruit punch, which provided them with valuable hands-on experience. The evaluation showed positive results. Participants rated the training as highly educational, relevant to their needs, easy to understand, and interactive. The materials were considered useful for enhancing participants' skills in managing small businesses. This program successfully increased their understanding of business management, financial services, and motivated them to manage their businesses more effectively. Recommendations for future improvements include extending the training duration, expanding the number of participants, and adding more practical sessions to maximize the program's impact. Abstract

In today’s fast-paced digital era, MSMEs in Bekasi City face significant challenges in integrating digital technology into their business operations. Many lack the knowledge and skills needed to adopt technology effectively, making them vulnerable to competitive disadvantages, limited market expansion, and exposure to digital security threats. To address these issues, comprehensive digital literacy training is essential to empower MSME actors to utilize technology in a safe and efficient manner that supports business growth. The "Introduction to Technology and Digitalization for MSME Businesses" training program is designed to equip participants with foundational knowledge of computers and the internet, effective use of social media as a marketing tool, and the basics of digital security to safeguard business information. By participating in this program, MSME actors from the UMKM Naik Kelas community in Bekasi are expected to improve their ability to adopt digital solutions, expand market reach, and enhance competitiveness. This initiative aims to produce tangible outcomes, including increased understanding of digital tools, practical application of social media for business promotion, and heightened awareness of cybersecurity measures. These skills will enable MSME actors to modernize their operations, better integrate technology, and ultimately strengthen their business resilience and economic contributions. With enhanced digital capabilities, MSMEs can achieve sustained growth, reinforce their presence in the marketplace, and contribute more effectively to local economic development.

Abstract

SDN 1 Kebumen is currently implementing the P5 program (Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila) which is a government program as part of the implementation of the independent curriculum. The empowerment carried out regarding vegetable cultivation and utilization of used goods is motivated by the school's goal of creating a healthy, clean, shady and beautiful school environment as an effort to preserve and manage the environment and develop students to be more productive. The empowerment is carried out through several stages, namely location surveys, delivery of materials, practice and also evaluation. This empowerment activity uses the FGD (Focus Group Discussion) method and also practice. From the results of the evaluation that were asked directly to the training participants, a good response was obtained regarding the empowerment activities carried out. Proven by a percentage result of 100%.

Abstract

Based on data released by APJII (Association of Indonesian Internet Service Providers), the number of internet users in Indonesia in 2024 will reach 221,563,479 people from a total population of 278,696,200 people in Indonesia in 2023. This shows that 79.5% of the Indonesian population is currently active in using the internet to support various activities. Internet users are spread across various sectors, one of which is the education sector. SDN 004 Samarinda Ilir has been established since 1988, less than 2 kilometers around the location of SDN 004 there are 6 other schools. It is important for SDN 004 to be able to convince parents of prospective students in order to increase the number of students. To be able to achieve this goal, one way is to promote the school through a web-based application. The proposed solution is in the form of creating and training partner web profiles. Then the selection of the appropriate technology platform, application design, and implementation is carried out. The overall interview results were positive and provided solutions to the problems that had been discussed in the initial stage.
