Abstract

In Kerinci Regency, especially around areas of Gunung Tujuh and Siulak areas, people generally use materials from Sungai Rumpun quarry and Siulak Deras quarry for the concrete mixture. A preliminary test by organic impurity test showed that the organic substances in the aggregate from the Sungai Rumpun quarry had a high organic content, while the aggregate from the Siulak Deras quarry had a low organic content. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the characteristics of the aggregate from Sungai Rumpun quarry and the Siulak Deras quarry and to determine the effect of the use of coarse and fine aggregate from both quarries on the compressive strength of concrete. This study is an experimental research that is conducted at the Civil Engineering Laboratory of the Padang Institute of Technology (ITP). In this study, the tests for physical properties of coarse and fine aggregates are conducted, then samples for the concrete compressive test are prepared, and the compressive strength test is carried out. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that aggregates from the Sungai Rumpun quarry are not recommended to be used for the concrete mixture of normal strength concrete (fc'=20 MPa), because the results of the compressive strength test showed that the average compressive strength does not reach the designed compressive strength (fc'). On the other hand, the aggregates from the Siulak Deras are recommended to be used for the concrete mixture of normal strength concrete because the compressive strength reaches the designed compressive strength.

Abstract

Adjuvant therapy is now a trend issue in the world and in Indonesia in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this paper is to examine the literature on the effect of using adjuvant therapy on covid 19 patients. This literature review uses e-database sources: ebscohost, proquest, pubmed, and science direct, where the articles used in 2015-2021 with keywords adjuvant therapy and covid 19. There were 7 articles that met the inclusion criteria. The entire article states that adjuvant therapy provides benefits for healing covid 19 patients. Research that has had a clinical improvement effect on covid 19 patients conducted by Chavarria (2020) uses antioxidants and pentoxifylline. Shohan et al, (2021) used quercetin in combination with antiviral drugs. Castillo et al, (2020) use melatonin. Trejo et al, (2021) used hydrogen peroxide. Luo et al, (2020) use of traditional Chinese medicine. Jamali MoghadamSiah et al, (2021) used high doses of vitamin C and Hiedra et al (2020) used intravenous vitamin C. The key to adjuvant therapy is vitamin C, Chinese medicine, hydrogen peroxide, antioxidants and pentoxifylline, melatonin and quercetin, which can be used as adjuvant therapy for healing and clinical improvement in COVID-19 patients.

Abstract

This study aims to design a hydraulic briquette press with a rail system to produce briquettes from coconut shell waste that is simple and easy to operate. Starting from designing the foundation (rail system), briquette tube table and piston pressing plate, to becoming a pressing tool using CAD software. The foundation was designed using square plate steel with size of 340 mm x 220 mm. The plate thickness of 4 mm and distance of 2 rails of 90 mm. The pressing tube plate consists of 2 tables which has 8 print tubes with a diameter of 22 mm and height 70 mm. The pressing piston plate uses a bolt connection so the piston can be set in line with the printing tube hole when the briquette press is operated. As a result, a hydraulic press with a table movement system in the form of a rail system was successfully built to make briquettes made from coconut shell charcoal with a capacity of 6.24 kg per hour. In one process, this tool produces 16 cylindrical briquettes with a diameter of 22 mm and a length of 50 mm.

Abstract

The Smart Program of Nurul Jadid Motivation Institute (LMNJ) is a program collection owned by two divisions, such as counseling and hypnotherapy division and the motivation and literacy division. The system that takes place in this smart program is still manual, they are students and the public society who want to consult related to psychology or literacy classes, by visiting the office room. So does the LMNJ who will promote should have society gathering intensively. This results in less than optimal management and services related to institutional activities, so a special media is needed in the form of a website to provide easily accessible online services and information. From these problems, the purpose of this research is to optimize the management and services as well as the delivery of information related to smart programs. The method used is the waterfall method, which is an effort to process information systems systematically. This smart program information system uses codeigniter. Codeigniter here is a web framework for PHP in implementing the Model View Controller (MVC) design pattern. The result of this test is to produce a web-based smart program information system application shows a percentage in 88.4% with the category is acceptable to use.

Abstract

Low levels of vitamin D in the body are known to be involved in the development of kidney disease and proteinuria. Serum creatinine is the most common serum marker for kidney function. Serum creatinine levels will increase in people with chronic kidney failure. The study aimed to look at the association of vitamin D 25 (OH) levels and serum creatinine levels in early-stage chronic kidney failure patients. The research design used is correlation research design. Sampling and examination was conducted at Siloam Hospitals Lippo Village Tangerang. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling. Sample examination using Cobas 6000 Analyzer Series. The results of examination of vitamin D 25 (OH) levels of 85 respondents were known to have normal vitamin D 25 (OH) levels (71%), insufficiency (21%) and deficiency (8%). The results of the statistical analysis showed the value of r = 0.024403555 and P value = 0.153378052, meaning that no association between vitamin D 25 (OH) levels and serum creatinine in people with early stage chronic kidney failure and H0 was accepted

Abstract

Momordica charantia, commonly called bitter melon, is a plant belonging to Cucurbitaceae family known for centuries for its nutritional properties. This plant have been used as folklore medicine for the management of hypertensions, cold, cough, and diabetes. The aim of the present study was to characterize the chemical constituents of ripe M. charantia from Lombok, Indonesia by Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GCMS). The method that used is maseration with ethanol as solvent. The ethanol extract of ripe M. charantia was characterized by gas chromatography-flame ionization detection and gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry analyses. The chemical constituent of ripe M. charantia that followed by GCMS were 2,4-Pentanediol (23,61 %), Eucalyptol (1,8-Cineole) (20,41 %), Trans (Beta)-Caryopyllene (10,07 %), 3-Decyn-2-olĀ  (9.54 %), Epiglobulol (7.82 %), Methyleugenol (7.15%), Beta-Selinene (5.80 %), Alpha-Selinene (5.43 %), and Alpha-Humulene (5.29 %). This is the first report on chemical screening of ethanol extract of ripe M. charantia and GC-MS analysis shows the presence of compounds which have medicinal properties.

Abstract

Culture is a wealth that must be maintained and preserved by the people of Indonesia. One of the Indonesian cultures that is still growing and developing today is the art of batik. Batik is a cultural heritage that has been designated by UNESCO since 2009 as a human heritage for oral and non-material culture (Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity). Batik has its own beauty, a variety of color patterns and curves of lines strung together into a beautiful unit that is written on the cloth. Adding aesthetic value in the form of isen is a very appropriate thing to beautify batik cloth. In every design, patterns and motifs contained in the fabric, of course it has its own meaning and philosophy. The aesthetic value in batik isen is an addition to the soul of batik, this is because isen is only used to add decoration to enrich the motif as well as to build a certain meaning that the creator wants to convey. Designing technology in the form of interactive multimedia applications as outlined in a storyboard is one of the important steps that must be taken in developing applications for introducing batik isen-isen. The results of the research carried out are, a storyboard design that has been completed has been implemented into an interactive multimedia application to introduce isen-isen to the public. The results of tests carried out using a black box test, it was found that the application was running according to the function and design of the storyboard that was made.

Abstract

In every region, of course, it cannot be separated from the so-called motor vehicle theft that often occurs, of course, this causes anxiety for the majority of people who have motorized vehicles. This study aims to create a Remote Control Vehicle Application Based on GPS Tracker and Microcontroller on the Android Platform to be able to find out the location of the lost vehicle and to be able to control and monitor the vehicle through an android device. The system design starts from the design of the Ublox Neo-6m GPS module, SIM900A GSM / GPRS Mini, Relay, Stepdown, Arduino Uno R3 and Android applications that are used to control, track and monitor the vehicle. The results showed that the Remote Control Vehicle Application Based on GPS Tracker and Microcontroller on the Android Platform can track and monitor motorized vehicles in case of loss through the GPS module. The results of this study are to minimize the theft of motor vehicles in an effort to prevent theft and loss of vehicles for vehicle owners.

Abstract

PT. Adi Satria Abadi is a company engaged in the leather industry. The research was carried out at the first location of the factory located in Bantul district, Yogyakarta. In the leather sheet production process, there is still some waste: Waste defect, in August 2021 there were 6,559.55 Sf of rework products from 161.9965 Sf of leather with a percentage of 4% rework products. As well as the waste of waiting time during manual drying, repetition of activities when transferring leather from hanging to milling, and the distance between dyeing stations to setters and hanging to milling.Based on the results of the analysis, the causes of waste include: Waiting time (cloudy weather), transportation waste (factory layout is not good), motion waste (the closest access to hanging is only through the setter section), rework toggle (skin pull is not strong because the operator is tired) and rework buff (operator misread the information and skin maturation in the tanning process is not good).The recommendations for improvement are adding a blower unit in the manual drying (hanging) section, rearranging the factory layout to minimize transportation and motion waste, adding rest hours and adding 2 fan units in the toggle room. Improving accuracy, and coordination between operators and foremen in the shaving section as well as improving the implementation of SOP in the tanning process.

Abstract

PT. Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur TBK is a company engaged in the Fast Moving Consumer Good (FMCG) sector. The company has a comprehensive market coverage in Indonesia and the global market. Supply chain management has an important role in maximizing supply chain activities from suppliers to consumers at PT. Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur TBK. PT. Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur TBK has supply chain problems such as changing levels of consumer demand that affect the amount of raw materials needed, warehouse problems, data errors, and communication which form the basis for the need for e-SCM development to improve the overall effectiveness of the supply chain management process at this company. . The design of e-SCM at PT. In this research, Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur TBK uses a literature study with Object Oriented Analysis Design Steps from the results of the company's readiness to implement e-SCM according to Ross, namely Energize the Organization, Enterprise Vision, Supply Chain Value Assessment, Opportunity Identification, and Strategy Decision. In this design, the researchers designed a rich picture, use case diagram, activity diagram, and user interface in the e-SCM application. The designed e-SCM application is able to integrate data and information in the process of delivering raw materials to finished products involving seven actors, namely procurement, suppliers, material warehouse admins, production, product admins, distributors, and consumers, so as to increase the overall effectiveness of the SCM process. on the company.
