Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an effect of service quality on parental satisfaction at IEC, Medan. This research method is explanatory quantitative. Explanatory research or also called verification research aims to test a truth through testing hypotheses about causation between the various variables studied. The population in this study was 216 customers. The sampling technique in this study is the incidental sampling technique. The research sample is 68 customers by using Slovin formula. The result of the research is that there is an effect of service quality on the satisfaction of parents at IEC. Service quality is a form of consumer assessment of the level of service received or perceived as expected, so the quality of service is perceived as good and satisfactory. The research instrument used is the validity and reliability test. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression. The correlation results are 0.601 and a significant value is 0.001 which indicates that the variables of service quality and customer satisfaction have a positive and strong relationship. From the results of r square of 47% and the remaining 53% is influenced by other factors. From the calculation of the regression analysis, the regression equation Y=8,250+0,126X is obtained. Thus it can be concluded that the quality of service affects the satisfaction of parents at IEC, Medan

Abstract

PT Alis Jaya Ciptatama is one of the furniture manufacturers. The band saw soft mill production machine used will experience damage and decrease in performance as the machine ages. The process of changing bearing sets requires 40 hours of downtime in one band saw soft mill machine per year. In addition, there is also a downtime in the process of replacing a broken saw which takes 124 hours per year. This study is to measure the effectiveness of the machine by using the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) method. The object of this research is a band saw soft mill machine which is a wood cutting machine. The results of the effectiveness measurement show that the average availability value is 96.17%, performance efficiency is 82.15% and the rate of quality is 86.93% so that the OEE value is 68.8%. The OEE value does not meet the requirements of the ideal OEE standard, which is 85%. Then improvements were made by measuring the six big losses to determine the contribution of each loss.Based on the analysis using FMEA, the largest RPN value for the breakdown losses category is 336 for the hilarious bearing failure type and for the reduced speed losses category, which is 140 for the reduced engine speed failure type. Overcoming failures on funny bearings is to carry out preventive maintenance on a regular basis once a week.

Abstract

Consumption of staple foods of the community at this time depends on rice. Barley belongs to the cereal group which contains carbohydrates and protein which is not inferior to white rice or brown rice so that it has the potential to be applied to the food industry. Isolation of protein with pH variation to precipitate protein at its isoelectric point and observe the effect of pH on protein solubility. The Kjeldahl method is used to indirectly analyze crude protein levels in foodstuffs. Knowing the yield of protein isolate, N total protein before isolation and after isolation and crude fiber of barley seeds found in the Lambanan area, Balanipa District, Polman Regency, West Sulawesi. The research was carried out at the Makassar Health Center Laboratory and Post-Harvest Laboratories, Faculty of Agriculture, Indonesian Christian University, Toraja January – February 2022, the data obtained were presented in a quantitative descriptive manner by doing three replications. The highest protein isolate yield was at pH 12, which was 64.06%, the highest protein isolate content was at pH 11, which was 20.72%, and the crude fiber content of barley seeds was 1.51%.

Abstract

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a Gram-negative bacterium that can cause nosocomial infections. The use of antibiotics in the treatment of non-adherent P. aeruginosa infections increases the risk of antibiotic resistance. Efforts to find new antibiotic compounds from plants continue to be carried out. Papaya leaves are widely spread among the public, which are often used as ingredients for vegetables and have antibacterial potential because they contain papain enzymes and a class of flavonoid compounds. The purpose of this study was to analyze the antibacterial activity of the ethanol extract of papaya leaves (Carica papaya Linn.) against P. aeruginosa by finding the value of the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) and calculating the index activity value against the positive control. The method used in this research is Kirby-Bauer (disc diffusion method) with several variations of the test concentration. The results showed that the diameter of the inhibition zone at a concentration of 500 mg/mL was in the strong category with an inhibition zone diameter of 10.87 ± 0.06 mm. MIC at a concentration of 3.125 mg/mL. The index activity value was greatest at a concentration of 500 mg/mL with a value of 0.668. So it can be concluded that the ethanol extract of papaya leaves (Carica papaya Linn.) has inhibitory activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Abstract

The statement form containing the consent of the patient or his family after receiving a complete explanation regarding the medical action taken is called Informed Consent. The form must be filled out completely, clearly, and according to the established procedure. The purpose of the study was to determine the suitability of the procedure in filling out informed consent for cataract surgery at RSU X Kediri. The type of research is case study, a retrospective approach. The population of medical record documents at RSU X Kediri are 605 cataract surgery patients in 2020, and the sample is 86 cataract surgery informed consent forms. The results of the study, there are policies and standard procedures regarding how to fill out Informed Consent data, In the completeness of the Informed Consent form for cataract surgery 34 (40%) are completely filled, while 52 (60%), are not completely filled out in some items from Patient Identification, Report Important, Authentication. In conclusion, there are policies and standard procedures at RSU X Kediri that have not been implemented according to the rules, because there are still incomplete data findings filled in in the informed consent. The advice is to disseminate the importance of consistency in filling out Informed Consent and evaluate of compliance with procedures to protect health workers from lawsuits in the future

The level of customer satisfaction is very important for every company that carries out its business activities by selling the goods it produces. A company usually does a lot of activities to attract market prey to attract customers to buy its products, therefore paying attention to customer satisfaction is very important to know how the company's image among customers and among people who use the products of a company. making companies work harder in providing services, especially in controlling the feasibility of their products to satisfy customers. Cake equipment or cake ingredients are growing rapidly at this time, therefore researchers are trying to help the company in knowing the level of customer satisfaction using one of the existing methods. in the field of data mining, namely the Rough Set method. Abstract

The company XYZ is one of the largest palm oil processing industrial factories in the province of South Kalimantan. Based on the results of interviews with employees who work at CPO processing (loading ramp) stations and also interviews with the Human Safety Environment (HSE), the OHS standard has actually been set by the company. However, there are still employees who have not complied with the company's regulations regarding the OHS standards. This study purposes to analyze Occupational Safety and Health at the Loading Ramp Station with the HIRARC Method at PT. XYZ. The method used in this research is a case study. Data was collected by using in-depth interviews and the subjects were selected by purposive sampling. Risk analysis at PT XYZ at the Loading ramp station using the HIRARC method, namely the assessment of the highest score in the process of entering FFB into the lorry and withdrawing the lorry using capstan. It gets the same score 6. The use of the HIRARC method can provide a solution that has a high risk. Controlling the risk of work accidents at PT XYZ's loading ramp station is the obligation to apply Personal Protective Equipment or PPE when employees are working. . Keywords: HIRARC, Health, Loading ramp, Safety, Work.   Abstrak   Perusahaan PT XYZ adalah salah satu pabrik industri pengolahan kelapa sawit terbesar di provinsi Kalimantan Selatan. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan karyawan yang bertugas di stasiun pengolahan CPO (stasiun loading ramp) dan juga wawancara dengan Human Safety Environment (HSE), standar K3 sebenarnya telah ditetapkan oleh perusahaan. Akan tetapi masih ada karyawan yang belum mematuhi peraturan perusahaan tentang standar K3 tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja pada Stasiun Loading Ramp dengan Metode HIRARC di PT. XYZ. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara secara mendalam (depth interview) terhadap subjek wawancara yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis resiko pada PT XYZ di stasiun Loading ramp menggunakan metode HIRARC yaitu penilaian nilai skor tertinggi di proses memasukkan TBS ke dalam lori dan penarikan lori menggunakan capstan dengan nilai skor sama yaitu skor 6. Penggunaan metode HIRARC dapat memberikan solusi yang mempunyai resiko tinggi. Pengendalian resiko kecelakaan kerja di stasiun loading ramp PT XYZ adalah dengan kewajiban menerapkan Alat Pelindung Diri atau APD saat karyawan berada dalam pabrik khususnya saat sedang bekerja. Perusahaan harus cepat tanggap dalam masalah ini seperti memberi sanksi terhadap karyawan yang tidak mematuhi peraturan yang berlaku.   Kata Kunci: HIRARC, Kesehatan, Keselamatan, Kerja, Loading ramp.

Abstract

Prenatal yoga began to be widely developed and carried out to overcome conditions that occur in pregnant women. Yoga during pregnancy not only helps to improve the fitness of pregnant women physically, but also psychologically. The purpose of this study is to explore prenatal yoga in improving the fitness of pregnant women, both physiological and psychological aspects. This research is a literature review with article sources from international journals in 2019-2022. Articles were accessed through online databases, including Science Direct, Proquest, Springer Link, Clinical Key, and Ebsco Host from May 2 to May 10, 2022. The keywords used in the search were prenatal yoga and pregnancy. A total of 2959 articles were obtained from search results, and then identified based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Articles that met the inclusion criteria were in the form of English experimental research that examined the benefits of prenatal yoga in pregnancy and could be fully downloaded. Articles that did not meet the criteria were eliminated after screening the title, abstract, and full-text thoroughly. Five articles met the criteria. The results of the literature review showed that prenatal yoga could improve the quality of sleep for pregnant women, reduce anxiety, depression, and distress, increase the functional index of uterine arteries, reduce maternal and neonatal complications, strengthen relationships with other pregnant women in yoga classes, and strengthen the attachment relationship between mother and fetus. Thus, it can be concluded that prenatal yoga is a useful exercise for pregnant women so that its implementation must continue to be promoted for antenatal care.

Abstract

Tas Raja is a business engaged in bags that sells all types of bags that can be ordered online or with cash of delivery system. Established on March 8, 2016, located at Pasar Petisah Blok B No 23, West Medan. The research takes Sugiono's theory and discusses the analysis of consumer satisfaction. Tas Raja with the aim of knowing how to analyze consumer satisfaction shopping at the Tas Raja store, Medan. The writer uses the descriptive qualitative method. The source of the data used in field research (interviews) and the results of the interviews are tested by triangulation of sources. The results of this study indicate the analysis of consumer satisfaction shopping at the Tas Raja store, Medan. has been maximized and still needed to increase consumer satisfaction.

Abstract

Advances in technology like this are something that cannot be avoided in everday life because this happens in tandem with advances in the development of science. The web is a service that makes it easier for users to interact with other users and browse information from the internet. Skilldemy is a startup company fromt the city of Medan, which is engaged in education. Before seminars or workshops are held, instructors or students must first carry out an online-based administrative process via Messages from Instagram, while instructor who want to share their knowledge through seminars or workshops can coordinate via Messages from Whatsapp to discuss what materials will be brought. Because of these problems, it is necessary to build an online seminar or workshop ticket booking website to meet user needs in terms of ticket reservations. The result showed that the design of this website-based ticket booking system made it easier for the participants with the features provided in terms of information and ticket reservations.
