Morals are very important for every person, especially for every Muslim. The formation of morals through moral education needs to be given to every child by parents since childhood. Childhood is the most important period in educating children, so there are not a few children who are educated and not educated properly by their parents. This research explains the urgency of current behavior or morals that have deviated from existing teachings. Therefore, this research aims to find how to rebuild children's moral education, both from educational patterns from parents and educational institutions. This research uses a qualitative approach method, with data derived from secondary data. Data collection techniques were carried out with documentation studies. Then, descriptive data analysis was carried out and finally conclusions were drawn. the importance of moral education for children, starting from the role of parents from an early age. Although schools and madrasahs have an important role in shaping character, collaboration with the family environment is often less than optimal. Parents are expected to remain the main pillar in shaping children's morals, although not all children get adequate moral education from their parents. Active collaboration between parents and teachers, especially in madrasah, is needed to instils the values of discipline and honesty in children. In the Islamic context, family education reinforces the importance of religious teachings in daily life. Suggestions to strengthen the role of madrasah as a formal institution that integrates Islamic religious education as a whole, increase collaboration with parents through open communication, and organize training for parents, are expected to increase the effectiveness of children's moral education holistically.

Abstract

Multiplication is a fundamental concept that students at the Primary School level must master, as it serves as a foundation for advanced Mathematical operations. However, many early-grade Madrasah students still struggle with multiplication, particularly with numbers ranging from six to ten. One effective instructional method to facilitate students' understanding and execution of multiplication is the jarimatika method. This method uses fingers as counting tools, making it easier for students to grasp multiplication concepts. This study aims to examine the improvement in students' learning outcomes through the implementation of the jarimatika method in teaching multiplication to third-grade students at MIS Lamgugob Banda Aceh. The research employs a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, with a total of 40 third-grade students as participants. Data were collected using test instruments and observation sheets and analyzed using percentage formulas to assess learning improvements. The findings reveal that the implementation of the jarimatika method significantly improved students' learning outcomes across the cycles. In Cycle I, 62.5% of students achieved the minimum mastery criterion (MMC), increasing to 80% in Cycle II and 90% in Cycle III. These results indicate that the jarimatika method is effective in enhancing students’ understanding of multiplication concepts and improving their overall learning outcomes. This study recommends the adoption of the jarimatika method as an alternative instructional strategy for teaching mathematics at the Primary School level.

Abstract

The increasing demand for Native-English-Speaking Teachers (NESTs) in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) contexts has raised debates on their effectiveness in influencing learners' attitudes and motivation compared to Non-Native English-Speaking Teachers (NNESTs). This study aims to analyze the impact of NESTs on EFL learners’ attitudes and motivation in learning English as an International Language (EIL) by employing a literature review method. Academic articles from 2010 to 2024 were examined to synthesize evidence on the topic. The findings reveal that while NESTs are often regarded as proficient language models, they face challenges related to understanding students’ linguistic problems, teaching methodologies, and cultural contexts. Conversely, NNESTs demonstrate better empathy towards learners' difficulties and familiarity with local educational systems, fostering positive attitudes and higher motivation among students. Furthermore, misconceptions about the superiority of NESTs over NNESTs are debunked, showing that teacher effectiveness is not solely determined by their native status. The study concludes that the presence of NESTs in EFL contexts does not necessarily enhance students’ attitudes and motivation, emphasizing the need for pedagogical training and cultural sensitivity in teaching English as an international language.

Abstract

Translating poetry presents a distinct challenge as it requires preserving the emotional depth, such as mood and tone of the source text while maintaining structural elements; rhyme, meter, and line count. This balance demands creativity and precision from translators to ensure equivalence in the target language. This study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to explore the techniques used intranslating literary poetry, focusing on journal articles published between 2017 and 2024. Insights from nine key publications were consolidated, highlighting essential translation techniques and their application in various contexts. The result showed that there are sixteen translation techniques found based on Molina and Albir (2002), along with ten other strategies that cater to the evolving demands of poetry translation, offering guidance for translators to adapt their approaches based on the purpose and artistic requirements of the work. These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the strategies used to navigate the intricate process of poetry translation.
