Abstract

Abstract This study aims to describe the role of parents in online learning during the Covid 19 pandemic in Bangsal village Pesantren district Kediri city. The theory used in this research is the Biddle & Thomas theory . The research approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. Data collection was done by interview, observation, and documentation. The results of this study explain that the role of parents ia s guide, educator, carer, developer, and supervasior. During the online learning period so far, parents in the Bangsal village Pesantren district Kediri city always try to provide the best assistance for children in the learning process. Assistance provided by parents as well as preparing the completeness for the online learning process that will be carried out and being willing to accompany children when online learning takes place. Parents want that even though learning is done online, children can follow the learning to the maximum and remain enthusiastic in undergoing education. Parents play an importantrole in the progress of childrens learning because from thr encouragement of parents, children can regenerate their childrens learning spirit. Parents in the Bangsal village Pesantren subdistrict Kediri city explained the they always accompany their children when learning takes place and prioritize the interests of their children rather than their busy lives. Abstract

Social interaction in society is formed because of patterns of behavior, whether it is good behavior patterns or bad behavior patterns. Bad behavior or commonly referred to as deviant behavior is caused by many people, especially the younger generation, who cannot fully understand the importance of studying civic education, especially regarding the character of nationalism. This is where the role of the teacher is needed, namely the teacher is expected to be able to overcome or control his students in improving behavior. This study aims to determine the role of civic education teachers in building the nationalist character of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Pucuk. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research using the theory of role theory by Biddle and Thomas. This study took place at SMP Negeri 1 Pucuk with a population of 639 students and this study took a sample of 6 students from class VIII (eight) students for the 2021/2022 academic year and one civics education teacher. The results of this study indicate that the teacher's most dominant role in shaping the character of nationalism in schools is as a motivator, as a corrector, and as a guide. As a motivator, the teacher uses verbal means with reinforcement rather than punishment. As a corrector, the teacher prepares students as capable individuals. Meanwhile, as a supervisor, the teacher provides guidance to students to meet their learning needs. Keywords: Role, Citizenship Education Teacher, Nationalism Character

Abstract

This research for describing role of parents who created responsibility junior high school characters at pandemic in Sajen Village and for knowing factors that given impact when do this role. This research using a qualitative research approach with a descriptive design. Informants in this research are parents who have child in the junior high school with the five informants. This research did in Sajen village. Data collected by in-depth interview, observation, and documentation. This research focus on role of parents in building responsibility character and impact factors when implemented it. This research using Role Theory from Biddle and Thomas. The source is parents having role like a educator, mentor, motivator, facilitator, and like a friend. This role such a giving an instruction of talent and interest, giving a motivation so the children will be happy when study. There were factors what giving impact like a change of education, the economic level, time availability. Connection between role theory and this research is parents wishes for doing the role in this character. Norm, like a rule from parents to children. Performances, like by doing all of the role and it giving good character in life. Evaluation and sanction , like an evaluation of parents to children character and if deviate, they get a sanction. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the role and strategy of the Save Street Child Sidoarjo community to build the character value of mutual cooperation in street children. This research uses qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out with participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The informants of this study were six people consisting of a community leader, three volunteers, and two street children of the Save Street Child Sidoarjo community. Determination of informants using purposive sampling. The research location of Lemah Putro Village, Sidoarjo Regency. The research conducted has a focus on the role and strategy of the Save Street Child Sidoarjo community to build the value of mutual aid character. The character value of mutual cooperation in this study is the value of help, the value of anti-discrimination and the value of anti-violence. The results of the research on the role and strategy of the Save Street Child Sidoarjo community to build the value of mutual cooperation character are shown through the role of educators and the role of facilitators. The role of educators from the Save Street Child Sidoarjo community is demonstrated through raising awareness and providing information to street children. Meanwhile, the role of facilitator from the Save Street Child Sidoarjo community is carried out by arranging verbally and personal communication to parents of street children. Meanwhile, the strategy carried out by the Save Street Child Sidoarjo community in building the value of mutual cooperation character is to use a persuasive approach. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the strategies, obstacles, and solutions of civics teachers in shaping the responsibility character of students through hybrid learning at SMP Negeri 9 Surabaya. This study uses a qualitative approch with a descriptive method. The informants in this study were three people, one teacher and two student of VII class. The data analysis of this research refers to the Miles and Huberman model which includes data collection, data reduction, and drawing conclusions based on Thomas Lickona’s character theory, namely moral knowledge (moral knowing), moral feeling (moral feeling), adn moral action (moral action) related to each other. The results showed that the character building of students’ responsibility in SMP Negeri 9 Surabaya was carried out by civic teachers through first, providing student learning motivation by providing understanding of student material, creating learning content and giving attention to students in receiving and doing assignments. Second, through examples of good habits including the teacher as a role model and habituation both before and after learning. Third, helping students learn from mistakes through punishment and self evaluation. The obstacles experienced by civic teachers in implementing this strategy stem from students’ social and economic factors, the live event learning policy for a maximum of four hours, and school policies that require parents to drop off and pick up students during live event learning. The solutions provided to overcome these obstacles are by providing device loans to students, tolerating delays in participating in learning and collecting assignments, as well as utilizing time in learning Keywords: Responsibility character, learning, Hybrid learning.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to describe the strategies of Civics teachers in strengthening nationalism and the results obtained from strengthening nationalism. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method. The research location is in SMP Negeri 3 Surabaya, precisely on Jalan Praban no. 3 Surabaya. Research data sources are divided into two, namely primary and secondary data sources. The primary data source is the VII grade Civics teacher, namely Mr. Angga, while the secondary data source is the behavior of students. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This study obtained the results that the strategy of Civics teachers in strengthening nationalism was carried out by inserting nationalism in the VII grade Civics learning materials through discovery learning methods, giving assignments, lectures, and discussions. Strengthening nationalism is also supported by the implementation of classroom culture such as praying together, singing the national anthem Indonesia Raya, reading Pancasila texts, applying rewards and punishments, and teachers providing examples to students. Activities outside of PPKn learning that also support the strengthening of nationalism are paskibraka extracurriculars, scouts, musical arts, traditional dances, interesting areas in the school area of ​​SMP Negeri 3 Surabaya such as the national aisle, vertical garden, school farming, and the Javanese zone. Seventh grade students who initially did not reflect the attitude of nationalism after studying in Civics lessons and practicing classroom culture became nationalist attitudes. The results of the implementation of the nationalism strengthening strategy showed that students who initially did not memorize the national anthem and Pancasila became memorized and accustomed to school culture which required students to be nationalistic. Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah mendeskripsikan penanaman nilai karakter nasionalisme melalui pembelajaran PPKn pada peserta didik MAN 1 Gresik. Penelitian ini memakai metode pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Guru PPKn sebagai subjek penelitian. Data diperoleh dari wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan ialah mengumpulkan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan pengambilan keputusan. Penelitian ini memakai teori dari Albert Bandura. Bandura menyebutkan bahwa proses yang mempengaruhi belajar observasional yaitu perhatian, mengingat, perilaku dan motivasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, menunjukkan bahwa penanaman nilai nasionalisme melalui pembelajaran PPKn dengan beberapa tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Pada tahap perencanaan penanaman nilai nasionalisme yaitu menyusun Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP). Tahap pelaksanaan penanaman nilai nasionalisme pada kegiatan pembelajaran, dilakukan pada kegiatan pendahuluan seperti berdoa dan menyanyikan lagu nasionalisme bersama-sama. Kegiatan inti, dilakukan dengan menyampaikan materi yang berkaitan dengan nilai nasionalisme, memotivasi peserta didik untuk selalu memiliki nilai nasionalisme, melakukan diskusi bersama-sama untuk melatih sikap kerja sama, toleransi, dan menghargai pendapat, kemudian membahas bersama-sama hasil diskusi tersebut. Kegiatan penutup, menyimpulkan bersama-sama, dan memberi penguatan materi yang telah dipelajari. Tidak lupa memberikan pesan untuk selalu memiliki sikap nasionalisme. Pada tahap evaluasi penanaman nilai nasionalisme, dapat dilihat dari tidak ada kendala dalam penanaman nilai nasionalisme dan sudah terlaksana dengan baik. Abstract

In mid-2021, the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak experienced a decline which had an impact on the learning process at Tamansiswa High School, Mojokerto City. Therefore, an educational policy was established in the form of limited learning, namely the Blended Learning learning method at SMA Tamansiswa Mojokerto City. The purpose of this study is to describe the application of Blended Learning in the 12th grade Civics subject at SMA Tamansiswa Mojokerto City. The focus of the research is the application of Blended Learning in Civics subjects, the advantages and disadvantages of Blended Learning at SMA Tamansiswa Mojokerto City. This research uses qualitative research method with descriptive research type. There were four informants in this study who were selected using a purposive sampling technique with certain criteria. The data collection technique used was interviews and documentation which were carried out for one month. The data analysis technique uses interactive qualitative data analysis according to Miles and Huberman, namely data collection, data reduction and data presentation. The results of the study, namely the application of Blended Learning learning in Civics subjects were carried out through three stages, namely the planning stage with the preparation of Blended Learning RPP and socialization to educators and guardians of students, the implementation stage was carried out through distance learning and face-to-face learning in class and the evaluation stage in the form of assessment of student outcomes which includes assessment of attitudes, knowledge and skills. The advantage of Blended Learning is that it improves the quality of educators and students during the COVID-19 pandemic. The weakness in Blended Learning is the lack of attractiveness of students during distance learning. Keywords: Aplication, Blended Learning, Civics

Abstract

This study was written to provide an overview of the practice of religious tolerance in the Chinese ethnic community in Surabaya by using Berkson's theory, namely the theory of cultural pluralism: mosaic analogy which emphasizes freedom in culture. The method used is a qualitative research method with descriptive research and interview data collection techniques are expected to explain in detail the facts in the field. The informants in this study were 4 people who were the people of the Chinatown area who met the characteristics required by the researcher. The results of the study then prove that the practice of religious tolerance in the ethnic Chinese community in Surabaya has reached a democratic stage marked by various tolerance practices both in the family environment or in the community. The influence of the realization of good Tolerance Practices is inseparable from cultural and ethnic similarities. This practice of tolerance is manifested in the behavior of people who respect each other's religious differences, such as not arguing for a long time if there is a difference of opinion on the religion they profess. On the other hand, the tolerance applied in religion also has a significant impact on the development of society Keywords : tolerance, chinese community, religion.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the role of parents in preventing their children's promiscuity in Sudimoro Village, Tulangan District, Sidoarjo Regency. The focus in this study is the actions and words that parents take when carrying out their functions in order to prevent the involvement or opportunities for their children to be involved in promiscuity. The promiscuity of teenagers is meant by teenagers who have had sexual relations outside of marriage or free sex, drug abuse, and drinking. The theoretical basis used is Biddle & Thomas's role theory which consists of several indicators, namely expectations, norms, forms of behavior, assessments and sanctions. This research uses qualitative research with descriptive research design. The informants of this study were six parents who had teenage children aged 13 to 15 years and were not involved in promiscuity. One of the parents in this study worked (father worked while mother did not work). Data collection techniques in this study were in-depth interviews and observation. The data validity technique used triangulation technique. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of parental research in preventing their children's promiscuity and for children's awareness and personal responsibility by laying the foundation of religion as the main education for children in preventing promiscuity, utilizing children's free time with activities to develop talents and interests, applying time limits outside the home as a form of supervision and controlling children's associations and explaining the dangers of promiscuity as self-help for children. It's just that in explaining the dangers of promiscuity there is a difference that girls are more reminded of the dangers of free sex while boys are reminded not to fall into promiscuity such as free sex, drug abuse, and drinking.
