<![CDATA[As an Educational Institution at the Higher Education level, STIKes KHG has determined that the color and character of the science to be developed is based on "culture" which is packaged into "Principal Scientific Patterns" abbreviated (PIP) STIKes Karsa Husada Garut. The method used is a normative approach combined with non-normative methods as long as they are relevant in the discussion of community service materials. Both lecture methods, service participants are collected in a certain place or room, then given a lecture so that there is good learning and understanding. The three methods of discussion. <![CDATA[Entrepreneurship is an important part of the economy of a country or region. One of the roles of entrepreneurship is as a means of alleviating small communities from poverty. Various entrepreneurial development efforts have been carried out, one of which is by generating and increasing new people or entrepreneurs in the field of entrepreneurship. The implementation of service activities uses the Lecture and Discussion method. The participants of the activity who took part in the socialization of the benefits of entrepreneurship were attended by 40 parents, fathers, mothers and children. The results of community service activities are so that people are motivated and interested in being able to optimize the potential of existing resources, both potential natural resources and human resources potential to be used as business opportunities or small or medium scale businesses. The public's interest in entrepreneurship in the field of entrepreneurship will have an impact on developments in the village. <![CDATA[Environmental problems are a decrease in the carrying capacity of the environment as a result of low public awareness of the importance of environmental management. This is caused by several factors, including: changes in the function and arrangement of the environment, a decrease in the carrying capacity and quality of the environment, the lack of integration in the management of human, natural and artificial resources in environmental management between various parties, the less than optimal utilization of urban space, and environmental pollution. generated by waste. The purpose of community service in addition to reducing waste is also to provide solutions in reducing community environmental pollution in the form of organic waste, creating a healthy and comfortable community environment, increasing community income by selling products from processing organic waste in the form of compost. The method used was lectures, discussions and questions and answers as well as waste management practices which were attended by 42 participants. The results obtained from this activity produce several products from processed waste in the form of doormats, bags and other recycled products. The conclusions obtained from the activities of processing household waste/waste into materials of economic value in the form of providing theoretical and practical counseling to PKK mothers in Citangtu Village, Wanaraja Garut District, received a very good response. The provision of counseling materials interspersed with motivation for entrepreneurship makes the mothers more enthusiastic and this activity can continue to improve the welfare and standard of living of the residents.]]>

<![CDATA[Smoking behavior is a problem related to public health because it can cause various diseases and can even cause death for both smokers and those around them (passive smokers). Everyone already knows that smoking is harmful to health, but in fact smoking behavior is still very difficult to control. find out how much people know about the dangers of smoking. The method applied in this activity is counseling using slides with material related to diseases caused by smoking including the delivery of material about the dangers of smoking, health checks and questions and answers. The results obtained from the counseling were followed by 50 participants from Hauranggung Village including 34 people or 68% are female and 16 people or 32% are male and the level of community awareness of the dangers caused by smoking 86% or 43 residents are aware of the dangers of smoking and 14% or 7 residents do not understand the conclusions obtained from this outreach activity. increase people's knowledge of the dangers of smoking, the impact of smoking for both active and passive smokers and increase public awareness of the dangers of smoking by 86% or as many as 43 people out of 50 participants]]>

<![CDATA[The COVID-19 pandemic outbreak has occurred over the past year throughout the country. In addition to maintaining distance, washing hands and wearing masks, another way to prevent COVID19 is to increase or body immunity. The use of additives in food has a toxic impact. The risk of using food additives in large quantities will pose a big risk to the immune system or the body's immunity against various disorders and diseases so that it is easy to contract COVID-19. Therefore, it is important to consume toxic-free foods that do not reduce immunity so that it is not easy to contract diseases in the face of COVID -19. The method of implementing this community service goes through 3 stages, namely: preparation, implementation and documentation. Implementation of community service through the zoom application to reduce and prevent the transmission of COVID-19. Participants who attended were 68 high school and vocational high school students. Health education for high school and vocational high school students was successfully carried out as an activity to prevent and control COVID-19 by increasing the body's immunity through consuming toxic-free foods that reduce the risk of contracting COVID-19.]]>

<![CDATA[The increasing number of population and the life expectancy of the elderly will cause various problems, including health, psychological, and socio-economic problems. Problems in the elderly are mostly health problems due to the aging process, plus other problems such as financial problems, loneliness, feeling useless, and unproductive. The purpose of this counseling is to describe the characteristics of the respondents, the history of accompanying diseases and the types of rheumatic diseases in the elderly in Mekarmukti Singajaya. Method The approach to problem solving is to build partnerships with elderly groups in posyandu and recitation programs in the work area of the Singajaya Public Health Center. To foster this partnership, counseling was conducted on the management of rheumatoid arthritis pain in the elderly at home. The team consists of lecturers and is assisted by STIKes KHG Nursing S1 students. The results obtained from this counseling, the elderly can apply pain management at home by compressing. The elderly were very enthusiastic about participating in the counseling. This is evidenced by the fact that there are 10 elderly people who ask about rheumatoid arthritis and the elderly can apply warm compresses. So it can be concluded that it is very important to carry out counseling about the management of rheumatoid arthritis pain in the elderly. So that the elderly know how to manage pain in order to improve the health status of the elderly.]]>

<![CDATA[The level of maternal anxiety has an impact on the length of labor in the first stage. Anxiety and fear can have an impact on the onset of severe pain and result in decreased uterine contractions, so labor takes longer. The purpose of this activity is to reduce the anxiety of pregnant women during childbirth with hypnobirthing therapy. The methods in this activity are: Dividing antenatal classes for pregnant women in the I, II and III trimesters, making implementation schedules, socializing, conducting pretests on Hypnobirthing. By taking anamnesis, determining the distress scale, determining the learning channel and starting the hypnobirthing session, the first session and at the end of the session were given the task of making positive affirmations about pregnancy and childbirth, conducting a posttest on hypnobirthing and providing labor dance techniques and comfort techniques while the mother was in labor observation. Especially for the third trimester class, the endorphin massage method is given to provide comfort and reduce anxiety for pregnant women facing childbirth. Based on the results of the pretest, the average value of pregnant women about hypnobirthing is 35, which means that the knowledge of pregnant women about hypnobirthing is low. After the pretest was carried out, all pregnant women participated in hypnobirthing activities according to gestational age. The conclusion is that after the socialization of pregnant women's knowledge about hypnobirthing increased and attitudes towards hypnobirthing activities became positive, initially they were hesitant and afraid to do hypnobirthing, became enthusiastic about wanting to do it again and anxiety about pregnancy and childbirth decreased after hypnobirthing was carried out.]]>

<![CDATA[Health cadres are members of the community whose role is to assist health workers in health services. For the case of the Covid-19 pandemic, especially health cadres who are needed to assist the community in handling mental and psychosocial health in the community. In addition to health cadres, the general public also plays a role in helping cadres and health workers to improve the mental health of the community. One of the efforts is to increase knowledge through health counseling about mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic. Health counseling was carried out boldly in their respective homes with zoom media on July 18, 2021. There were 24 participants who took part in the health education, consisting of 14 health cadres and 10 the general public. Beforethe counseling was carried out, pre-test and post-test were carried out by distributing questionnaires on google forms to participants to determine the level of knowledge of the participants about the material to be and after being delivered. This community service activity succeeded in increasing the knowledge of health cadres and the community about psychosocial mental health support with the value of good knowledge being 36% from 18%, and knowledge being 64% from 45%. After this community service is held, it is hoped that the participants can become promoters in mental health efforts in the community during the Covid-19 pandemic so that they can remain mentally healthy in dealing with all the problems that occur during this COVID-19 pandemic.]]>

<![CDATA[Medicinal plants are very beneficial for health, thus reducing the impact of using drugs pharmacologically. Increasing public awareness to reduce and stop using chemical drugs encourages people to use natural ingredients that are around. The purpose of this community service is to provide education to students to utilize their yards in growing medicinal plants at home. The method used is: counseling and empowerment in planting medicinal plants in school yards. From this community service activity, it can be concluded that 95% of students who attended and took part in community service activities could understand the presentation of the substance given by the presenters, namely the D3 Pharmacy Lecturer team. Second, after the presentation of the material, knowledge about "The Benefits of Medicinal Plants in the Family Environment and Land Use in the Elementary School Environment" increased. Third, the enthusiasm of SD Al Khoiriyah IV Garut students when asking questions was very good, showing that this substance was interesting enough to be discussed.]]>

<![CDATA[The increasing cases of Covid-19 in Indonesia have a sizable health impact on the community. The growth of the Covid-19 virus sticks to hands every day through physical contact with the environment, and among other things it can cause/cause various diseases. For this reason, these microorganisms need to be destroyed or prevented from spreading. One of the easiest and most appropriate ways is to wash your hands with soap and clean running water. Preventive efforts are needed to deal with it, bearing in mind that this outbreak cannot be considered an ordinary pandemic. In order to anticipate wider spread, the Lecturer Team for the D3 Pharmacy Study Program and D3 Health Analyst and in collaboration with LP4M STIKes Karsa Husada Garut made hand sanitizers which will be distributed to residents around Jayaraga, Tarogong Kidul, Garut. Hand sanitizer is a prevention effort by washing hands and soap, if there is no water and soap you can use a hand sanitizer. Some time ago, the supply of hand sanitizers was very limited, so to help the community as well as self-use, they made their own hand sanitizers. Staple food is one of the main and most important things which as a form of concern for STIKes Karsa Husada Garut is always present in the community. Moreover, assistance in the form of groceries is able to ease the burden on the community, especially in the midst of a sluggish economy due to the corona virus.]]>
