Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of extrinsic motivation and job training on employee performance at the Astra Motor Honda Jepara Dealership, and to examine the role of job training as a mediating variable in the relationship between extrinsic motivation and employee performance. This study uses a quantitative approach supported by interviews with 58 employees. Data were analyzed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with the help of SmartPLS 4 software. The results showed that extrinsic motivation had a positive and significant effect on employee performance (β = 0.464; p < 0.001). Job training also had a positive and significant effect on employee performance (β = 0.521; p < 0.001). In addition, extrinsic motivation had a positive and significant effect on job training (β = 0.939; p < 0.001). The results of the mediation test showed that job training was able to significantly mediate the relationship between extrinsic motivation and employee performance. These findings indicate that a combination of an external incentive system and an effective and applicable job training program can optimally improve employee performance. This research provides theoretical contributions to the development of Self-Determination Theory in human resource management and offers practical implications for dealership management in developing competency development strategies and improving employee performance.

Abstract

The reliability of the airport's electrical power supply system is a crucial factor in ensuring the safety and smooth operation of flights. Lasondre Airport still uses a manual power source switching system through a Change Over Switch (COS), resulting in frequent delays in the switching process from PLN to a generator. This can disrupt landing and take-off activities, as well as navigation systems and flight support equipment that require an uninterrupted power supply. This research aims to develop an Automatic Change Over System (ACOS) capable of performing power source switching automatically, quickly, and reliably using a Socomec 125 A ATS, DSE 7420 controller, LY2N relay, and H3CR Time Delay Relay (TDR). The system works by detecting PLN failures, automatically turning on the generator, transferring the load to the backup source, and returning the load to PLN when conditions are normal. The implementation of ACOS is expected to improve the continuity of electricity supply according to CASR Part 139 standards, however, the analysis results show that the capacity of the 50 kVA generator is still insufficient for the total load, requiring an increase in capacity or separation of essential and non-essential loads

Abstract

Urban heat island (UHI) intensity in rapidly urbanizing Indonesian cities is commonly assessed through land surface temperature (LST) derived from satellite thermal sensors, yet fine-resolution, machine-learning-based spatial prediction for small and medium cities in the Bandung Raya region remains limited. This study applies a geospatial artificial intelligence (GeoAI) workflow to model and map LST in Kota Cimahi, West Java, using four cloud-screened Landsat 8/9 Collection 2 Level-2 thermal scenes acquired between July and August 2025, resampled to the 10 m grid of Sentinel-2-derived NDVI, NDBI, and NDWI and Dynamic World built-up density and land-cover layers. Random Forest (RF) and Support Vector Regression (SVR) models were trained on 627,687 pixels and evaluated on 269,009 independent pixels. RF achieved a marginally higher test R² (0.528; RMSE 2.17 °C; MAE 1.63 °C) than SVR (R² 0.525; RMSE 2.18 °C; MAE 1.61 °C). Built-up density and NDBI dominated under RF impurity-based importance, whereas NDVI dominated under SVR permutation importance, reflecting strong multicollinearity among the optical predictors. Spatial prediction confirmed a consistent thermal gradient, with the highest LST concentrated in the built-up southern core and the lowest in the vegetated northern highlands, although one acquisition date relied on cross-date gap-filling for over 90% of its pixels because of persistent cloud cover — a limitation reported transparently in this article rather than concealed.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the continuing practice of treating a newborn's placenta (ari-ari) in the customs of the Karo ethnic group, which is understood by some members of the community as having spiritual protective significance. This study employed a qualitative descriptive method through interviews and questionnaires conducted among the residents of Sukadame Village. The purpose of this study was to analyze the community's understanding of the practice of treating a newborn's placenta in Karo culture and to examine it based on the doctrine of God's providence from a Christian theological perspective. The findings indicate that some members of the community continue to associate this practice with the protection of infants, thereby potentially shifting their dependence away from God. Based on the observations conducted by the researcher, this study concludes that the primary issue lies in the community's understanding rather than in the culture itself. Therefore, the church needs to provide contextual and continuous theological guidance.

Abstract

The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare offers significant potential to improve diagnostic accuracy while simultaneously raising normative challenges concerning legal certainty, ethics, and patient protection. This study aims to analyze the normative implications of AI regulation in medical diagnosis in Indonesia, highlighting regulatory weaknesses and proposing an ideal regulatory model. The research employed normative legal methods using statutory, historical, and conceptual approaches, supported by analysis through systematic, grammatical, and teleological interpretation of legal texts and academic literature. The findings indicate that AI regulation in Indonesia remains fragmented across several laws without a specific comprehensive framework, leading to legal liability uncertainty, weak patient data protection, and violations of informed consent principles. The results further suggest that the ideal regulatory model for Indonesia is a specialized risk-based regulation integrating health law, medical ethics, data protection, algorithmic transparency, and AI certification mechanisms under dedicated oversight. In conclusion, this research contributes theoretically by enriching the discourse on health and technology law, and practically by offering policy recommendations for establishing a fair, adaptive, and internationally aligned AI regulatory framework for medical diagnostics in Indonesia.
