Abstract

Lirik lagu merupakan salah satu karya sastra sejenis puisi yang memiliki nilai estetika yang ditampilkan lewat penggunaan diksi dan gaya bahasa yang ada di dalamnya. Untuk menganalisis penggunaan diksi dan gaya bahasa pada teks sastra yang dalam hal ini adalah lirik lagu, teori yang digunakan adalah teori stilistika yaitu pendekatan untuk mengkaji pemakaian unsur-unsur bahasa lewat sudut pandang linguistik pada suatu karya sastra. Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan diksi yang bermakna konotasi dan denotasi serta gaya bahasa pada lirik lagu Jepang pada media pemutar musik, spotify tepatnya yang terdapat dalam playlist “City Pop '80s” yang berisi lagu-lagu Jepang bergenre City Pop yang dirilis dan populer di era 1980-an. Tahap penelitian diawali dengan menentukan sumber data berupa delapan lirik lagu pilihan lewat teknik simak-catat kemudian dilanjutkan dengan tahap penyajian data dalam bentuk tabel data yang berisi diksi pada lirik lagu orisinal  yang diasumsikan mengandung diksi dan gaya bahasa. Selanjutnya pada tahap analisis data dilakukan dengan cara mentranskip lirik lagu dan mengamati bagian dari lirik lagu tersebut, kata per kata, kalimat per kalimat, kemudian bait per bait yang mengandung diksi dan gaya bahasa sesuai dengan ciri-ciri, kategori dan jenisnya kemudian menginterpretasikan hasil temuan dari analisis data berdasarkan landasan teori tentang diksi dan gaya bahasa. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan pada kedelapan lirik lagu pilihan berupa diksi bermakna denotasi sebanyak 2 data dan bermakna konotasi sebanyak 8 data, kemudian gaya bahasa anafora sebanyak 2 data, antitesis sebanyak 1 data,, hiperbola sebanyak 1 data, metafora sebanyak 4, metonimia sebanyak 1 data, personifikasi sebanyak 6 data, repetisi sebanyak 1 data, simile sebanyak 3 data, dan sinestesia sebanyak 1 data.Kata Kunci: diksi , gaya bahasa, stilistika, lirik lagu, city pop

Abstract

Demi untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran, pengajar dituntut untuk menggunakan metode yang dapat mendukung kegiatan belajar mengajar. Mahasiswa Sastra Cina, FIB UB sering kurang dapat menggunakan kata atau tata bahasa dalam percakapan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara mahasiswa semester enam Sastra Cina, FIB UB dengan menggunakan  metode presentasi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Research) dengan menggunakan pre-test, post-test, serta pembagian kuisioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode presentasi dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara mahasiswa Sastra Cina, FIB UB semester enam (kelas A) yang berjumlah 26 orang. Selain itu, dari pembagian kuisioner dapat diketahui bahwa ada 18 mahasiswa yang setuju dengan menggunakan metode presentasi, 2 mahasiswa yang tidak setuju, dan ada 3 mahasiswa yang tidak mengisi kuisioner.Kata Kunci: berbicara lanjutan 2, metode pembelajaran, presentasi

Abstract

This is a study which analyzes translation techniques used by the translator in the monologue of Love, Simon movie. The purpose of the study is to explain the translation techniques and to determine the most dominant translation technique used in translating monologue in Love, Simon movie. This study is classified into descriptive qualitative research. In the study, the writer collectted and analyzed the data to get a conclusion. The data were gained by watching the movie, documenting the script, selecting, identifying, classifying, counting, and conclusion. The writer used the translation techniques introduced by Molina and Albir (2002) to analyze and classify the data. There are 12 techniques found in 225 data. They are adaptation, amplification, borrowing, calque, compensation, established equivalent, generalization, linguistic compression, literal, modulation, reduction, and variation. The most dominant translation technique is established equivalent which occurs 77 times and it represents 34,22%. Kata Kunci: translation technique, movie, monologue, subtitle, Love Simon, descriptive qualitative

Abstract

Manusia sebagai makhluk sosial, selalu berkomunikasi saat berinteraksi dan menjalin hubungan dengan manusia lain. Tujuan dari berkomunikasi selain untuk berinteraksi yang akhirnya menghasilkan sebuah peristiwa tutur. Tindak tutur selalu hadir dalam kehidupan sosial masyarakat, seperti saat bersama anggota keluarga, teman, ataupun orang lain. Peristiwa tutur masuk dalam kajian tindak tutur direktif tutur. Salah satu jenis tindak tutur adalah tindak tutur ilokusi direktif, yaitu penutur meminta mitra tutur melakukan sesuatu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah yang pertama menjelaskan jenis tindak tutur ilokusi direktif dalam manga: New Game! Vol. 1-2 dan yang kedua menjelaskan makna dari tindak tutur ilokusi direktif tersebut. Untuk menjawab rumusan masalah tersebut menggunakan kajian pragmatik Searle, teori Namatame. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian rumusan masalah adalah terdapat 5 jenis tindak tutur direktif yaitu perintah やるように, permintaan 持っていかないでくださいよ, larangan 無理しないでね, izin 質問してもいいですかdan anjuran 聞いてあげたほうがいい.

Abstract

Masyarakat konsumsi adalah masyarakat yang memiliki kebiasaan yang konsumtif terhadap barang. Hal ini, dikarenakan konsumsi merupakan kegiatan yang lazim dilakukan untuk kebutuhan hidup. Masyarakat konsumsi ini merupakan target dari negara yang telah menerapkan soft power. Soft power adalah kemampuan untuk menarik perhatian dan mempengaruhi negara lain demi mencapai tujuan untuk mendapatkan keuntungan secara politik dan ekonomi dengan cara lunak melalui budaya. Salah satu bentuk penerapannya yaitu gastrodiplomasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pola konsumsi masyarakat di kota Semarang melalui masakan Jepang di warung Wasabi kota Semarang provinsi Jawa Tengah. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu ditemukannya pola konsumsi masyarakat terhadap masakan Jepang di warung Wasabi kota Semarang sebagian besar masuk ke dalam kategori style atau trend.

Abstract

Character is an important element in fictional work besides the other elements. In fiction, character reveals a textual representation of human being, or occasionally another creature. Character is the player in the story and it makes the story alive. Every character in a story has characterization. Characterization is the process of conveying information about characters in fiction. In other words, characterization is the way an author describes their characters’ characteristic in the story. The writer chose “An Analysis of Characterization in Fast and Furious Present: Hobbs & Shaw” as the title of his research. This research has two purposes: to find out How are instrinsic aspects generally described in Fast & Furious Present: Hobbs & Shaw, and to find How the protagonist and antagonist characterizations are described in Fast & Furious Present: Hobbs & Shaw. The writer limits the research into analyzing only five main characters that found in the story that the writer found after watching throughout the movie.

Abstract

Language is a part of our life, we live in a sea of languages and most of our interactions are done using language. Language is a symbolic system in which words are associated with objects, ideas, and action.. The objective of the study is to analyze the symbols in The Midnight Library by Matt Haig. The data in this study is qualitative. In conducting this research, a researcher used Carl Jung's theory of archetypal image, as described in a book by in a book by Guerin (2005).The fourteen symbols: water, sun, color, circle, serpent, number, the archetypal woman, the demon lover, the wise old man, the trickster, garden, tree, desert, and mountain. The resercher is done by classifying the semiotic elements, namely the symbols. In the novel The Midnight Library finds 14 symbols based on the result of the analysis data. The circle symbol appeared 75 times in this novel. It can be concluded that in the novel The Midnight Library by Matt Haig there are 14 symbols and the frequently used symbol is circle.

Abstract

This research analyzes all the Harry Potter films series using feminist theory, especially liberal feminism. This research aims to determine the feminist character of Prof. Mc Gonagal and what is the character of Prof. Mc Gonagal and changing female stereotypes in the Harry Potter films. This research uses a qualitative method, where the author provides several notes in dialogue that discuss several reasons and factors of Prof. McGonagal's feminist character. The results of this research show that the character possessed by Prof. McGonagal shows that she is a feminist character. Some dialogue evidence shows that Prof. McGonagall has a feminist character. With the character that Prof. Mc Gonagall was also able to change stereotypes about women. In the film there is also a depiction of a female character who is the opposite of Prof. Minerva McGonagall. Where the depiction is made into a character who tends to be weak and obedient to men.

Abstract

This study analyzes the characterization and liberal feminism values of the main character in the 2017 film Beauty and The Beast by Bill Condon. Liberal Feminism is a goal that places a role in which women can enjoy total freedom and individual freedom. The primary source of this study is taken from movie and screenplay and subtitled. The secondary source of this study is taken from relevant books and the internet. The researcher uses feminist analysis, this analysis can be used to examine the type of film title "Beauty and The Beast 2017 film" which answers various evidence of a woman's struggle against her rights. The researcher selects research methods in Beauty and The Beast 2017 movie through qualitative methods: observation, document study, collection, identifying, and analyzing method used in this study is document study. The researcher explains how the character and characterization of the main character in the film, namely "Belle" is a representation of a woman who is a feminist. She refuses to be treated specially by a man named Gaston. Belle is able to show that she is a girl who can determine the future of her own love journey without depending on any man even though that man has power. After knowing about the character and characterization from the film, we can know the liberal feminist values occur in the film of Beauty and The Beast 2017. The researcher concludes that the characterization of Belle such as smart and progressive, independent, brave and decisive can determine the liberal feminist values contained in the 2017 film Beauty and The Beast.

Abstract

Application of Permen Kata and cerita gambar learning media in the Kampus Mengajar program to improve literacy skills. The problems in this research include what and how the learning media used are implemented, as well as how teachers prespection. The objective of this researcher is to determine the implementation of learning media and the influence of learning activities. This research was a type of qualitative research, using Case Study techniques. The research results emphasized general meaning and the process used case study research methods, in-depth observation, and interviews. Data will be disclosed by explaining in words clearly and in detail. The material taught to improve reading skills can be seen through the use of media to improve reading skills, and both use cooperative learning techniques. with a scientific and inquiry learning approach. Students feel happy with use learning media. The learning media used received a good response from children.
