Abstract

Increasingly competitive competition and dynamic market conditions, as well as advances in increasingly sophisticated information technology, require banking companies to continue to innovate and improve their financial performance in terms of operational efficiency, better service, better risk management, and expanding the reach of financial services. This research examines the influence of intellectual capital and risk management on financial performance (ROA) in banking companies listed on the IDX in 2019-2022. This research uses secondary data in annual reports from banks listed on the IDX. The samples used were 92 from 23 companies with purposive sampling as a sampling technique. The data analysis method in this research is multiple regression analysis. This research shows that intellectual capital affects financial performance, and the risk management variable measured by liquidity risk has no effect on financial performance. In contrast, credit risk affects financial performance.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of servant leaders, work motivation, and work ethic on employee work commitment at PT. Famous Shoes Factory. This research approach is quantitative, using primary data obtained from 385 respondents. The analysis method uses multiple linear regression. The findings show that servant leaders have a significant positive effect on employee work commitment. However, the results are different in terms of work motivation and work ethic, which are unable to influence employee work commitment. However, if these three factors a role simultaneously, they can have a significant positive influence on the development of employee work commitment. This study provides new knowledge about the importance of serving leaders in leading companies. This research can rule out the role of work motivation and work ethic in creating work commitment. The implications of these research findings are significant for company leaders and academics for further research in building employee work commitment in a firm.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of self-esteem on impulse buying behavior among students at Balikpapan University. Shopping has become an activity that involves psychological needs, lifestyle, and pleasure. Social, economic, and cultural elements influence consumer behavior, including in the context of impulsive shopping. This research highlights the connection between self-esteem and impulsive shopping behavior among university students at Balikpapan University by finding a significant negative connection between the two variables. Individuals with low self-esteem tend to be more prone to impulsive shopping behavior as compensation to improve their self-esteem. The results also show that individuals with high self-esteem tend to keep their shopping behavior under control. In the face of social and cultural pressures influencing consumer behavior, a comprehensive and collaborative approach is crucial to building effective marketing strategies and consumer interventions. With a deeper understanding of the psychological elements that influence consumer behavior, companies can develop more adaptive and relevant strategies to meet the needs and drive consumer preferences in this modern era.
