Abstract

This community service activity aims to attract the interest of PKK members in Mujo hamlet by providing training in processing cow's milk so that it has a higher economic value. Cow milk processing is carried out to increase the selling price of milk because, in general, farmers only deposit it with collectors at a relatively low price. In contrast, when the milk is processed into a product, the selling price of the milk will increase. This increase in selling price will also provide more significant benefits to help increase family income. This community service is carried out in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Training activities are carried out by practicing processing cow's milk into milk candy products. Milk candy was chosen because the raw materials and manufacturing process are easy to make, so PKK members can make it at home. Processed milk candy also has a fairly long shelf life, so it can minimize the risk of loss. The implementation of this service received a positive response from both participants and event organizers. In addition, similar activities can be carried out again because they have a positive impact, namely increasing knowledge and skills and fostering an entrepreneurial spirit for PKK members.

Abstract

Financial literacy is a fundamental asset for rural communities in addressing various financial challenges. Financial literacy also plays an important role in economic growth and societal circulation. Financial literacy has become a significant focus in many countries in recent years, as a good understanding of finance plays an important role in helping individuals and groups avoid mistakes in financial decision-making. One of the targets of literacy activities is in South Garut, especially in Cipeundeuy Village, Cikarang. In Cipendeuy Village, economic businesses are owned by individuals and groups ranging from agriculture, such as rice, sugar, coffee, fruits, and plants. Community service activities through financial literacy aim to find potential knowledge related to basic finance that is still inadequate. This activity provides new knowledge for the community in understanding the ability to plan finance properly and correctly, understand the concept of investment and long-term savings, understand rights and obligations and believe that the selected financial products and services can improve community welfare, and avoid financial activities that are not by applicable regulations. Based on the results of the socialization regarding financial literacy, from 50 participants who previously understood financial literacy, 35 people became 50 participants.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to increase student's knowledge about environmentally friendly practices and sustainability in the SDN 6 Padangsambian Klod schoolyard. Therefore, major issues were the limited awareness and understanding of environmentally friendly product use and sustainable practices. In handling this, the program employed a participatory and educative approach, hence the combination of workshops with discussions and practical activities such as waste sorting and handicrafts made from recycled materials. It was designed to develop theoretically founded knowledge of ecologically competent practices and their practical implementation in the student's everyday life. Preliminary results reveal that there has been a greater awareness among the students, with 85% showing better understanding and 90% actively engaged in waste sorting and recycling. Another interesting aspect was the commitment expected from the children towards environmental protection, with written pledges made on the "My Promise for the Environment" tree. These initial findings suggest that the intervention program successfully raised environmental awareness while positively impacting students' behavior about sustainability.

Abstract

The socialization program aims to provide an understanding of the importance of implementing a profit-sharing system based on Sharia principles between capital owners and agricultural land cultivators. The program was implemented in the Ciole-Ole farmer group, Alamendah Village, Rancabali Subdistrict, Bandung Regency. Based on an initial survey, it was found that the working relationship between capital owners and land cultivators had not adopted a proper profit-sharing system, often leading to unfair distribution of profits, especially when harvest yields were unsatisfactory. The activity was conducted through face-to-face socialization using presentation techniques and interactive discussions. To measure the effectiveness of the activities, an evaluation was conducted through pre-tests and post-tests using a questionnaire instrument. The results of the activities showed an increase in community knowledge, particularly in understanding and applying a fair profit-sharing system by Sharia principles. Pre-test data indicated that most group members did not understand adequately, while post-test results demonstrated a significant improvement after the socialization activities were conducted.

Abstract

Efficient village administration is crucial for delivering fast and accurate public services. One major challenge is the manual document preparation process, which is time-consuming and prone to errors. This community service activity aims to enhance administrative efficiency by training village officials at the Langko Village Office in using Mail Merge in Microsoft Word. The training employed a hands-on approach with four participants from the village administration. Evaluation was conducted by comparing pre-test and post-test results to measure improvement in participant skills. The findings indicate that the training successfully accelerated document preparation by 70%, reduced typing errors from 60% to 5%, and increased participants' skill scores from an average of 35 to 92.5. Furthermore, the training contributed to standardizing document formats, thereby enhancing professionalism in village governance. These results highlight the potential of technology adoption in improving administrative effectiveness and data accuracy. Further community service activity is recommended to expand the training scope by involving more participants and integrating more advanced data management technologies to support the digitalization of village administration.

Abstract

Due to the increasing amount of waste and the limited amount of green land in cities, environmental issues are becoming a significant challenge to realizing a sustainable environment. To raise public awareness about the importance of environmental management, this community service program combines the idea of urban farming with the concept of 3R-based waste management (reduce, reuse, recycle). The activity was held in Dauh Puri Kaja Village, Denpasar, and involved hands-on practice and training in waste sorting, processing organic waste into compost, and utilizing it for urban farming. The program began with training for residents at the Balai Banjar. Then, the processed compost fertilizer was distributed at the Waste Management Site (TPS), and instructions were given on how to use it for urban farming.  The results show that the community better understands how to utilize compost for household-scale farming and properly segregate waste. In the long run, it is expected that this program will significantly impact the community by teaching them how to manage waste and make the best use of green spaces. This will encourage a cleaner and more sustainable environment.
