Abstract

This research is to identify and mapping some parameters of oceanography that suitable for lobster aquaculture activities with floating net cage systems and produce recommendations of a spatial map of the feasibility of floating net cage lobster farming. This research was conducted in July 2021 located in the coastal area of Kolaka. The oceanography data was collected from 58 stations and analyzed by Arc GIS 10 software. To produce a map of land suitability, the data was analyzed by interpolation and spatial clasification method before being overlaid in every oceanography parameter to be scored based on a suitability matrix. Regarding the land suitability map, it exhibited that the width of the Kolaka coastal area which is suitable for lobster farming with the floating net cage system was 7.973 Ha. Meanwhile, 9.519 Ha coastal area was not suitable.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding honey with different concentrations in the extender on the percentage of fertility and hatchability of nilem fish (Osteochillus vittatus) eggs fertilized by stored sperm. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with a factorial pattern of 2 x 4 with 4 replications. The type of extender (Factor A) consisted of egg yolk milk and coconut water, while the concentration of honey (Factor B) used was 0%, 3%, 6%, and 9%. Observations on the percentage of fertility and egg hatchability were carried out to determine the sperm performance of nilem fish. Data analysis was carried out statistically using statistical analysis of variance (ANOVA) and further tested using multiple distance tests (Duncan). Data analysis showed that there was an interaction between the two factors that gave a significant effect on the percentage of fertility and egg hatchability. The combination of milk and egg yolk extender with 6% honey concentration gave the highest yield of 61.75% for fertility and 23.08% for temporary hatchability, for the lowest percentage of fertility was 4% for coconut water without honey and the lowest percentage was for hatchability egg yolk milk extender without honey was 7.51%.

Abstract

This research direct analyzes the length-weight relationship and reproduction aspect of bullet tuna (Auxis richei Risso, 1810) that can be valuable data for policymaking in the waters of Bone Bay. Sampling was held from September to November 2021 in Lonrae Village, Tanete Riattang Timur District, Bone Regency. The growth pattern was determined by analyzing the length-weight relationship, TKG was determined by morphological characteristics, and gonad somatic index was calculated based on the Johnson method. The result of the length-weight relationship was obtained b value = 3.3345 in September, b value = 2.837 in October, and b value = 3.3690 in November. The analyze of the t-test obtained t count > t table that means in September and November was classified into a positive allometric growth pattern, conversely, the growth pattern in October was negative allometric. The condition factor of bullet tuna in Bone Bay waters was obtained in the range of 0.95-1.03 with an average of 0.97, in males 1.23-1.44 with an average of 0.95-1.33 and the range was 0.72-0.83 with an average of 0.77 in fimales. The gonad somatic index value in male and female ranged from 0.053 to 0.242 and from 0.052 to 0.068, respectively. The bullet tuna that have been found categorized as immature gonads.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain the optimum formulation for the growth of saline tilapia. This research method used a completely randomized design method (CRD) with 3 treatments and 3 replicates. The feed formulation is based on the percentage of each feed constituent material, namely fish meal: soybean meal: wheat flour and water in treatmen A 11,12:55,55:33,33, B 6,67:58,33:35, and C 31,67:26,66:41,67. The dose of feeding given is 4% of the fish biomass with a frequency of feeding 3 times/day. Feeding with different saline tilapia formulations did not have a significant effect on specific growth rate (SGR), survival rate (SR), and FCR.

Abstract

The study of long bag set nets in Tanjungbalai aims to determine the characteristics and level of compliance with applicable regulations. The study of characteristics was carried out by following fishing operation at sea in 2018, while compliance was analyzed from the supervision data of the Asahan PSDKP Unit in 2019 and 2020. The long bag set net in Tanjungbalai Asahan is classified as a trap. The long bag set nets are installed permanently in the waters for a certain period of time, utilizing the tidal currents of the waters, and using 2 (two) large anchor units as a barrier so that the nets are not carried away by the current. The main catch is anchovy, while the by-catch are squid, gulama, pomfret and layur. The compliances of the long bag set nets is reviewed from 6 (six) aspects:(1) completeness of the fishing license (SIPI), (2) conformity of fishing gear specifications, (3) suitability of fishing grounds, (4) suitability of fishing base, (5) completeness of legal operational letter (SLO), and (6) port clearance (SPB). The compliance of the long bag set netm fishermen in Tanjungbalai Asahan is very good because they have followed all applicable regulations.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the necessary costs, benefits and feasibility of fishing effort on purse seiner refrigerated frezzer. This research uses descriptive method, sampling with purposive sampling and financial analysis. Business analysis is carried out by identifying the costs incurred in the form of a total cost of IDR 1,362,779,900 / trip, consisting of fixed costs of IDR. 214,500,000 / trip and variable costs of IDR. 1,148,279,900. Income from the sale of the catch is IDR. 2,974,282,400 / trip with a net profit of IDR. 1,611,502,500 and for the ship owner gets a share of 60% so that in 1 fishing trip he gets a profit of IDR.. 966,901,500. It takes 6 trips (3 years) of fishing operations with a profit of IDR. 1,611,502,500 / trip to reach the break even point. The B / C ratio value of 2.18 is greater than 1, so the fishing business by KM. Asia Jaya 03 with purse seine fishing gear is declared feasible to operate and continue.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of differences addition of culture medium concentrations on the growth of microalgae type Chlorella sp. Samples were obtained from the Center for Brackish Water Cultivation Fisheries (BBPBAP), Jepara. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Nutrition and Natural Feed Sorong Marine and Fisheries Polytechnic with an experimental method using four treatments with addition of walne medium, there were A (adding only at the beginning of cultivation); treatment B (adding every day); C (adding every two days), and treatment; D (adding every three days). The cell growth performance was significantly found in treatment C with the addition of nutrients every two days with a peak cell density of Chlorella sp was 2,628,450 cells / ml. There is a need for mass culture assay to determine the level of effectiveness and efficiency.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of differences in fish density and media volume on the growth and survival of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) and to determine the effective density in aquaponic culture using bed media techniques. In this study, parameters were measured including the specific growth rate of fish, feed conversion ratio, water quality and survival rate. The experimental design used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments (1 fish stocking ratio/L media bed; 2 fish/L media bed; 3 fish/L media bed; and 4 fish/L media bed). ) and was repeated three times in this study. The results showed that the average length of the final fish was between 6.5 – 9.5 cm, and the average weight of the final fish was in the range of 5 – 17 grams. The optimum density value and the best fish productivity from this study were at P4 with a stocking density of 20 fish per liter of water with significant results.

Abstract

Electrical energy on fishing vessels is an unavoidable energy requirement, the electric source on board is obtained from an electric generator which is generally driven by a diesel engine. Electrical energy on fishing vessel is used for lighting, navigation purposes and assisting fishing activities to loading and unloading. The electric generator on fishing vessel will operate properly and have a long service life if the load applied to the generator does not exceed the load factor limit. Researchers carried out several stages, i.e: identify the electric power distribution system, identify the generator capacity and electrical load received, calculate the electrical load on different operational conditions. In this study, it is also known that the operating efficiency of the generator under four different operational conditions. The results of the research, this fishing vessel uses a radial electrical distribution system; using two units of electric generator with identical specifications, each has a capacity of 225 kVA; the generator operates efficiently in all operational conditions with a load factor of 79.70% to 83.08%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh formulasi penambahan tepung porang yang terbaik dan nilai mutu yang baik dalam meningkatkan kualitas gel surimi .Perlakuan penelitian dengan penambahan tepung porang 1%, 2%, 5%, 10% dan 15 %. Penelititan ini dilakuan secara eksperimental dengan lima perlakuan, tiga ulangan dan dianalisis dengan statistik ANOVA. Parameter yang diamati adalah kekuatan gel, pH, kadar air, uji gigit dan uji lipat. Hasil uji kualitas gel surimi untuk ikan tuna : nilai kekuatan gel berkisar 1625.15±1.67 - 2818.99±3.63 g.cm, pH 5.9-6.4, kadar air 67.1%-74.5%, uji gigit 2.9-7.3 cm, uji lipat 2.4-4.5. Untuk ikan kakap : nilai kekuatan gel berkisar 791.35±2.43 - 1622.39±1.16 g.cm, pH 5.9-6.4, kadar air 69.8- 76.5, uji gigit 7.2-8.7, uji lipat 3.4-4.6. Kesimpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan tepung porang 1%, 2%, 5%, 10% dan 15 % dapat meningkatkan kekuatan gel hingga >500 g.cm. Namun, penambahan diatas 1% memberikan warna gelap pada surimi sehingga, penambahan maksimal tepung porang tidak disarankan lebih dari 1%.
