Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic that occurred in Indonesia and even the world caused a decline in people’s income because several work sectors experienced disruption. The aim of providing fish farming skills in buckets (Budikdamber) will be an alternative source of income for the people of Saoka Village, Tanjung Kasuari, Sorong City in the midst of pandemic. A site survey was conducted to determine the place and to find participants in the activity. The service process is carried out in two stages, namely The provision of Budikdamber material is carried out online, while the practice of making Budikdamber is carried out offline. A total of 1200 catfish were stocked in 6 buckets which reselted in a total fish survival rate of 60%. The results obtained by catfish that are kept are able to live and grow even though there is death in the fish. After four months of rearing. The fish can be sold whit a yield of 112 kg whit a selling price of IDR 35,000/kg, whit a total income of IDR 3,920,000. This shows that the tarining is able to provide an alternative source of income for the people of Saoka Village.

Abstract

Tilapia is one of the consumption fish commodities that was very popular with the public. The development of tilapia aquaculture was growing rapidly, especially saline tilapia. The high potential of saline tilapia development causes the demand for fingerlings to increase. This research aimed to determine the best dose of salinity increase in the effort to adapt freshwater tilapia to saline tilapia. In addition, it also observed survival, growth and feed efficiency. The method used was experimental method with completely randomized design and data were analyzed using SPSS16 and Tukey's test. The research treatments included the levels of addition of salinity by 1 ‰/day, 2 ‰/day, 3/day and 4 ‰/day. The difference in salinity had a significant effect on Survival Rate (SR), Growth Rate (GR), Specific Growth Rate (SGR), Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR) and Feed Utilization Efficiency (FUE). The best treatment in this research was the addition of salinity of 1 ‰/day with SR of 96%, GR of 35.1 g / t, SGR 1.22% w / day, FCR of 1.04 and FUE of 96%.

Abstract

The aim of the research are to: (1) count the Total Coliform on water and sediment; (2) compare the physical, chemical and biology parameters to the ministry of environment regulation number 51, 2004 appendix 2 and appendix 3 ; (3) differentiate of Total Coliform on water and sediment and ; (4) grouping the parameters of environment and Total Coliform based on similar data by clusterring analysis. MPN method is used to count Total Coliform and fermentation method to detect coliform bacteria. Based on the Total Coliform are obtained, Total Coliform on water are 21-70 MPN/100 ml and Total Coliform on sediment are 110-9.000 MPN/100 ml. It can conclude that Jabon Coastal is indicates as a contaminated water based on Total Coliform bacteria.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of differences addition of culture medium concentrations on the growth of microalgae type Chlorella sp. Samples were obtained from the Center for Brackish Water Cultivation Fisheries (BBPBAP), Jepara. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Nutrition and Natural Feed Sorong Marine and Fisheries Polytechnic with an experimental method using four treatments with addition of walne medium, there were A (adding only at the beginning of cultivation); treatment B (adding every day); C (adding every two days), and treatment; D (adding every three days). The cell growth performance was significantly found in treatment C with the addition of nutrients every two days with a peak cell density of Chlorella sp was 2,628,450 cells / ml. There is a need for mass culture assay to determine the level of effectiveness and efficiency.
