Abstract

This study’s  objective is to evaluate the community service initiatives conducted by Prodi Manajemen Akuntansi Hospitaliti at Politeknik Pariwisata Bali, specifically to determine the effectiveness of the socialization and training activities in enhancing participants' comprehension of cost of sale calculation and selling price for accommodation. The activity held at Tegallalang Village on June 7, 2024, and involved 30 participants who are responsible for managing accommodations in the same village. The study approach employed is quantitative, specifically utilizing the One Group Pretest Posttest research model. This involves posing questions both before and after the training. In addition, the data analyzed using a paired t-test with the use of SPSS software. The statistical tests revealed that this activity had a substantial impact on enhancing the participants' comprehension and proficiency in calculating the cost of commodities and determining selling prices for accommodation.

Abstract

This study aims to increase knowledge about the legal consequences for bullying perpetrators and to raise awareness among students and teachers about bullying in schools. The outreach was conducted in person at SMAN 7 in South Tangerang City using a survey method, involving both students and teachers. Information was delivered directly through presentations and discussions, and data was collected on students' initial knowledge of the legal implications of bullying before and after the outreach. The results showed that most students were unaware that bullying by minors could lead to criminal charges, although the legal treatment differs from that of adult criminal cases. These findings highlight the importance of legal education in schools to enhance understanding of the legal consequences of bullying, and the need for ongoing education to ensure that everyone in the school environment is adequately aware of the legal implications of bullying, thereby creating a safe and conducive learning environment.

Abstract

One of the important pillars in education is the value of divinity, with the aim that students' morals and character can be formed. For this reason, in order for divine values to remain relevant, systematic and continuous efforts are needed. The month of Ramadan is the right time to increase religious values. One of the ways SMKN 1 Palopo City started the Ramadan Mainstay Mengaji Program is with the aim of improving the quality of Qur'an reading, and forming a more religious and noble character with a comprehensive method. The purpose of this service is to increase the understanding and practice of divine values among students. The program also aims to create an environment in the school that is more supportive of students' spiritual development, so that they can become people who are not only intellectually intelligent but also spiritually strong.

Abstract

The purpose of the service is to foster the spirit of learning mathematics in students. The process carried out in this service is to prepare game tools and materials, compile instructions for implementing the game method, provide set problems, solve set problems by inviting students to get involved in solving set problems. The implementation method used in this service is the game method, namely the presentation of subject matter through games to create a fun, serious, and relaxed atmosphere so that students will learn happily. The results obtained from the service activities are the results of the pre test with the post test having an increase in value of 8.49%. Comparison of post test scores to the game model has an increase in scores of 8.70% in the Good category. The interpretation of the results of the service obtained is that by using the questions to the game can help to analyze to get decisions and results.

Abstract

The development of Indonesian Language literacy at the elementary level requires an important aspect, namely learning to write poetry. An approach that has begun to be introduced is Project Based Learning, which aims to improve students' understanding of concepts and skills through real experiences. Related to the purpose of the research, which is to examine the teacher's response and examine the difficulties experienced by students in learning to write poetry using the PBL model at SDN Ngembeh 1. The subjects in the study were 13 students. Conducting qualitative descriptive methods. The data analyst used is in the form of scores from test results carried out as the final result. The results of the test of 13 students in learning to write poetry, as many as five students got a score below the KKM. It was concluded that learning to write poetry using the PBL method with the help of animation image media is quite effective in learning to write poetry.

Abstract

Agriculture is an important aspect in obtaining food and staples for the processing industry. Integrated agriculture is a combination of agriculture and fisheries that form a unified system. The purpose of this research activity is to introduce school residents to simple integrated agriculture. The method used is a qualitative research method in the form of natural observation. The result obtained is that school residents are enthusiastic about learning about simple integrated agriculture. Simple integrated agriculture can be implemented by people who want to be independent in meeting food needs.

Abstract

The aim of training and mentoring activities for Institut Kesehatan dan Bisnis Surabaya (IKBIS) students is to awaken the entrepreneurial spirit and become successful entrepreneurs is to foster an entrepreneurial mentality, improve practical skills, and have the knowledge to access resources and encourage innovation in developing new products . The methods used the theoretical presentation sessions, questions/answers and discussions for online training and discussions, FGDs, workshops and case studies for offline mentoring at the Surabaya Institute of Health and Business which were conducted on 92 Entrepreneurial students of Institut Kesehatan dan Bisnis Surabaya (IKBIS). The result is community service through training and mentoring activities for Institut Kesehatan dan Bisnis Surabaya (IKBIS) students to awaken their entrepreneurial spirit and become successful entrepreneurs, receiving an enthusiastic and positive response from the participants present. It is hoped that graduates of the Entrepreneurial Institut Kesehatan dan Bisnis Surabaya (IKBIS) students will have a deep understanding of the market, have strong practical skills in establishing or managing a business, have the ability to think creatively and innovatively and contribute positively to society, especially through the creation of new jobs.

Abstract

This training aimed to enhance participants' skills in creating graph-based reports using Chart.js, a popular JavaScript library for data visualization. The training methodology involved both theoretical sessions and hands-on practice, where participants were instructed on the basic usage of Chart.js, creating various types of charts such as bar charts, line charts, and pie charts, and integrating these charts into reports. The results of the training showed a significant improvement in participants' understanding and proficiency in using Chart.js to visually present data. In conclusion, the training successfully provided tangible benefits in improving the quality and clarity of reports produced by participants, equipping them with practical tools for their daily work.

Abstract

Saving is a wise and strategic step that illustrates a person's commitment to financial well-being and security in the future. This service was carried out in the community of Sukorejo Village, Gunungpati District, Semarang City. This socialization needs to be carried out so that participants can prepare for retirement which can provide financial freedom in old age. The goal to be achieved is to provide understanding to the public about the importance of saving and investing. This activity applies presentation and question and answer methods. The service team provided supporting materials in the form of brochures and booklets that could be a reference for participants. This service aims to stimulate people's interest in saving and investing and create a more financially independent society as well as prepare for emergencies and a better retirement.

Abstract

This research aims to determine MSME product innovation and highlight the obstacles they face. The obstacles faced by small and medium businesses are usually not focusing on development, product innovation still relying on old products and lack of capital, and product development strategies are still lacking. Product innovation within a company is very important for company sustainability. Service activities will be carried out using descriptive research methods using a qualitative approach. Data sources were obtained through field observations and interviews with informants. The participation and enthusiasm of MSME players in this activity was very good and they actively participated in implementing the training. Economic actors must be wise in looking for new innovations so that consumers are more satisfied when buying these products. The community's economy is supported by the presence of MSMEs, so that most of the community's income comes from MSMEs. However, because there are still many MSMEs that do not have access to financial institutions, loan capital is currently limited.
