Abstract

The purpose of the study was to identify and describe the translation techniques, methods and ideologies used in translating Arabic cartoon subtitles Muhsin and Mahasin versions of the Youtube channel SFH channel and describe the quality of the translation as the impact of the techniques, methods, and ideologies applied, in terms of accuracy, acceptance and ,readability. This research uses qualitative approaches using qualitative descriptive methods. Included in the study data are Arabic video subtitles Muhsin and Mahasin, while the data sources are muhsin videos and Mahasin link versions https://youtu.be/PZ3DPvdvVdI. The data collection technique used is scriptwriting. After the data collection process, analysis is also carried out. The findings of the study showed that there are six kinds of translation techniques. Based on the dominant techniques that occur, translators tend to use communicative translation methods and domestication as their ideology. Then, the impact of the application of translation techniques, methods and ideologies on the quality of translation as a whole has accuracy, acceptance, and readability. This shows the quality of good translation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the components of the Mu'jam Al Lughah Al Arabiyyah Al Mu'ashiroh dictionary. This dictionary is an ekabahasa dictionary that contains the lexical meanings of contemporary Arabic. This research uses a type of descriptive qualitative research with a literature method. This research seeks to elaborate a component analysis of the dictionary written by Ahmad Mukhtar Umar where this dictionary is very popular in egypt and in the arab world in general. Data is collected through careful reading and analyzing through content analysis to find out the components of the dictionary comprehensively. The finding is that this dictionary is quite ideal where its components consist of the initial part, the core part, and the final part which contains enough important information regarding how to use it and contextual examples. Abstract

This study aims to determine what is artificial intelligence (AI) and analyze several types of application of artificial intelligence as a learning medium in the era of society 5.0. Along with the increasing needs of the community for foreign languages, there is also an increase in the orientation to learn Arabic, which orientation begins to penetrate the realm of professionalism and economics. So that learning Arabic becomes one of the important agendas in the world of Education. However, learning Arabic in Indonesia still faces various obstacles and challenges in the era of society 5.0. This research is library research with qualitative descriptive approach. Data sources are books, journals, papers, and articles. Data collection techniques are done with documentation techniques. Data analysis used is content analysis. As for the results of the study, there are several applications of AI that are used as supporters or Arabic learning media in the era of society 5.0, including: Intelligent Tutoring System, Voice Assistant, Personalized Learning, Virtual Mentor, Smart Content, Automatic Assessment, and Game pendidikan . _

Abstract

The background of this research was based on the global problem appeared in 2020-2021 namely Covid-19. It is a pandemic that forced classes to be conducted into online learning; however, the implementation of online learning remains as a great challenge for both teachers and students. They had to adapt with these new circumstances. Here, Ms. Teams was chosen by the school as their platform to conduct online learning. The foci of this research were to find out the students’ perception related to this application or platform called Ms. Teams and how it was implemented in the class. Descriptive qualitative research was employed and the data were obtained through questionnaire, interview and documentation. The results of questionnaire, the perception was positive with the detail; (1) Category 1 got score 95.4 with the index percentage 70%. (2) Category 2 got score 83 with the index percentage 61%. (3) Category 3 got score 77.6 with the index percentage 57%. The average percentage was 62% and it could be classified into Agree (Good). The conclusions were; (1) Ms. Teams is a good platform to conduct the online learning because this platform provide some exclusive features that make this platform special. (2) the implementation of online learning using Ms. Teams is good enough but there are several things needed as improvements.

Abstract

Speaking skills are one of the most important language skills in the process of learning Arabic, especially for Arabic learners. This study aims to 1) describe digitization and learning media of Kalam and several applications that can support it; 2) explain the effective steps in the formation of Maharah Kalam learning media using the Tik-Tok Audio Visual application. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive research method using the library research method. This research is descriptive in nature and the data is collected in the form of words and pictures. The results of the discussion in this article are learning media design models using several applications to support Maharah Kalam learning such as Articular Story, Youtube, and Tik-tok applications. The stages in the tik-tok application can meet the criteria for interesting learning media for students, especially in learning Maharah Kalam Arabic. Of the several features above, its use can be implemented for Arabic learning media, especially Maharah Kalam. The tik-tok application can be an interactive medium for students, especially in the voice recording feature which can then be shared via social networks. This application can attract students because it has many features that can be implemented in learning. System that is always updated to follow the trend of the times.

Abstract

Today, international communication plays a vital role for facing the global challenges and English as Lingua Franca is quite helpful to serve the purpose of communication with people from different countries. In pesantren world, English is very essential to teach and “English-Tren” can be a way of asssisting santri to develop the santris’ speaking skill. “English-Tren” is English for Pesantren, a branch of English for Specific Purposes (ESP), designed to meet the target of Pesantren in improving Santris’ English skills especially speaking. This study aims to explain how is English-Tren implemented in developing santris’ English Speaking Skill. This study is a case study with the setting in Pondok Pesantren Darussalam Dukuhwaluh Purwokerto promoting the santris’ improvement in speaking skill through the course of “English-Tren”. The data collection techniques included interview to three English teachers and five santris supported by observation and documentation. The result shows that English-Tren is implemented through three ways namely Morning English biweekly, English taught as a subject in madrasah diniyah classes, and English taught and practiced in English program. Hence, English-Tren is influential in developing santris’ English speaking skill.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the comparative management of the Kebumen Arabic Villages (KAK) and Kebumen English Villages (KIK) programs and the foreign language learning system in these programs. The research method used by researchers is a qualitative descriptive method. This type of research includes field research. This research resulted in the first conclusion that the development of a management system for foreign language educational institutions carried out by the Kebumen Arab Village and the Kebumen English Village had used management steps including planning, organizing, actuating, controlling, and evaluating. However, in the planning aspect, it seems that KIK is more organized administratively than KAK. In the organizing aspect it can be said that it is the same in the two language villages, namely that officers or persons in charge of each field of activity have assigned tasks in an orderly manner. In the actuating aspect of KIK there are more outdoor activities while in KAK there are more learning activities in the classroom. In the controlling aspect, KIK involves a lot of roles from elements of the education office and the Ministry of Religion compared to KAK, which is more controlled by a teaching team from the local environment (Al-Istiqomah Islamic Boarding School). While the evaluating aspect is almost the same in both KIK and KAK, namely by holding evaluation activities through joint coordination meetings between district management elements and local teaching teams. Second, the development of the language learning system in KAK and KIK is that the methods used in learning in the English village are almost the same as in the Arab village because both methods are inspired by the existing foreign language teaching models.

Abstract

This research has the intention to describe how the implementation and benefits of visual media in learning Maharotul Kalam in the accelerated Arabic program at MTs eL-BAS Ciamis. This research is a field research that uses a qualitative research type methodology. The data in this study were collected through interviews and observation methods, through primary data sources, Arabic teachers and students of the MTs eL-BAS Ciamis language acceleration program. Data analysis was carried out using deductive qualitative, choosing a conceptual framework, collecting data, analyzing data and drawing conclusions. The results obtained from this study are the implementation and benefits of visual media in learning Maharotul Kalam in the Arabic acceleration program at MTs eL-BAS (bina anak sholeh institute) Ciamis in the form of increasing student enthusiasm in the learning process which facilitates understanding of some students, encourages active participation of students in learning, and support teachers in conveying material effectively. In an effort to use it, the teacher uses visual media in the form of Arabic phrase pamphlets (Ibaroh kosiroh), Arabic vocabulary cards (Mufrodat), and Arabic posters

Abstract

Abstract In fact, what happened at MA YATPI Godong was based on observations, many students still had difficulties in learning Arabic, especially in nahwu material, this is indicated by the number of students who took part in the Daily Assessment (PH) which was carried out at the end of one Basic Competence (KD) or some KD from each semester are still around 21-30% of students whose scores reach or above Minimum Completeness (KKM) while the rest still have difficulty answering the questions that have been provided, especially questions related to qoidah nahwu. This phenomenon is basically influenced by many factors, namely: 1) the learning process is not going well and not smoothly due to the lack of appropriate and adequate learning resources; 2) the teaching materials used are not relevant to the abilities and conditions of the students 3) the teaching materials do not meet content standards and curriculum standards; in the end the teacher is "confused" choosing the right book or teaching material according to the potential and learning needs of students; 4) Students get bored quickly due to less innovative teaching material designs where the use of language is difficult to understand and understand when students want to learn it. It is assumed that the development of nahwu teaching materials in Student Worksheets (LKS) through Research and Development (R&D) activities can improve learning effectiveness, motivate student interest in learning, as well as increase student competence. The development of this teaching material is limited to class X Arabic lessons in the first semester of Madrasah Aliyah which are then designed with attention to; a) material that is in accordance with Core Competency (KI) and Basic Competency (KD), b) material is reinforced with vocabulary notation (mufrodat), the application formula is based on qoidah nahwu especially when translating Indonesian text into Arabic, including the words interesting Arabic pearls related to lessons, c) various exercises (tadribat/drill).. Abstract

The lack of students’ awareness of comprehensively learning English became the significant issue. The initiation to discover a suitable strategy to adopt is needed. The methodology used was mixed-method (quantitative and qualitative). Two instruments used were a questionnaire and open-ended interview questions. The data analysis was SPSS and descriptive qualitative. The research involved three senior high school classes voluntarily participated students. Based on six strategies, respondents’ answers are coded by R (Repeating vocabulary), RM (Repeating in mentioning vocabulary like a native), and RP (Repeating vocabulary in physical actions), WN (Writing Vocabulary Note), WD (Writing Diary), and WS (Writing Summary), RN (Reading English Novel), RS (Reading Strategy), and RL (Reading Light Books), LD (Look up in the dictionary) and LED (Look Up in Electronic Dictionary), GE (Guessing with Gesture), and GN (Guessing the next word). The repeating strategy became the students’ most preferred strategy (M=3.52), while guessing (M=2,99) became the most unpreferred strategy. Therefore, the researcher attempts to conduct this research to investigate students’ preference strategy and discover the urgency.
