Abstract

ABSTRACT Communication among humans is facilitated through language, which encompasses both spoken and written expressions organized in a structured manner. Language processing involves different parts of the brain, including areas involved in sound processing, word recognition and linguistic memory. This is important because knowledge of how the brain interacts with language can help in designing more effective teaching methods. Alongside the potential for success, students learning Arabic may also acquire language disorders. The objective of this research is to offer a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between language and the brain in the realm of Arabic language learning, as well as its disorders. The research employs a qualitative approach coupled with a literature study method. Data is gathered from diverse literature sources, including books, journals, and scientific articles that precede the current research. The chosen method for data analysis in this research is the content analysis method. The outcome of this research reveals the existence of language and brain relationships and interference in Arabic language learning through research and tests that have been conducted by previous researchers.

Abstract

Psycholinguistic understanding helps teachers to detail teaching strategiesthat take into account how students process Arabic information, understandsentence structure, and overcome potential learning difficulties. Cognitivetheory emphasizes aspects of understanding, mental processes, and organizationin language acquisition. This view states that the stages of students' cognitivedevelopment influence their language development. In this research, theeffectiveness of the cognitive model in learning Arabic becomes a benchmark indetermining whether the teacher's role is fulfilled in applying psycholinguistic teststo students. So that the latest alternative for learning Arabic has emerged basedon its new understanding. In this research, the researcher limited it to languagestructure material or often referred to as nahwu (syntax). Because learning nahwuholds great urgency in developing Arabic language skills. This research uses aqualitative descriptive approach, as well as the use of metasynthesis techniques forSLR (systematic literature review) research. With the systematic literature reviewmethod, research will be carried out using systematic, explicit and reproduciblesteps to synthesize (identify, evaluate, interpret) a number of research works andideas that have been produced by researchers. The results of this research, in thecognitive aspect, researchers found that structural learning of Arabic (Nahwu) withthe TBL (Task Based Learning) and PBL (Problem Based Learning) models is a learning model that can provide significant learning results in improving students' cognitive abilities, because both This model provides stimulus to students. Thus making cognitive abilities develop efficiently and effectively. This makes PBL andTBL alternative options in learning Arabic which is based on psycholinguisticcognitive models

So, there are 97 English summative assessment items given by the teacher and used to measure students' level of understanding. The summative assessment items studied consisted of the 2022/2023 academic year midterm and semester assessments. The results of this research are that questions in the LOTS category have a higher percentage than the HOTS category. In midterm assessment items, questions in the LOTS category reached 78%. Meanwhile, in semester assessment items, the number of items that have the LOTS category is 66%. So, based on this research, items categorized as LOTS dominate the Summative Assessment items at SMP N 4 Cilacap. So, this research shows that the summative assessment items at SMP N 4 Cilacap are incompatible with the Merdeka Curriculum. Based on these results, it is hoped that the preparation of assessment items in the following year will be further improved so that students can think more critically by the level of thinking in the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the Arabic language academy and Al Wasith Dictionary, the method of preparation and how to search for words in the Al Wasith dictionaryas well as its advantages and disadvantages. This research is a library researchusing a qualitative descriptive approach. The primary data source in the researchis the intermediary dictionary, and secondary sources are books, magazines, and other sources related to the field of dictionaries and research subjects. Datacollection was carried out using documentation technology, and the data wasanalyzed using the Miles and Huberman data model triangulation. The results ofthis study show that the Arabic language academy is not only limited to compiling dictionaries, but also includes participation in intellectual activities, researching linguistic issues, describing scientific and linguistic terminology, and organizingseminars in various locations. The purpose of compiling this dictionary is tocorrect and purify the Arabic language so that it can be easily understood. Theorder of words in the dictionary depends on alphabetical order. The way to searchfor a word is done by returning the word to its original form and removing theextra letters in the word. One of the advantages of this approach is that it usesverses from the Qur'an and the Prophet's hadith as reference and support inexplaining the words. The disadvantage is the difficulty of using Arabic for thosewho are not native speakers.
